Overpriced and not very friendly. We were visiting Texas and have experienced the friendly hospitality everywhere, except for this place. This building apparently has the only available restroom in the area, but it is only for customers. The bathroom code is at the bottom of your receipt. I really had to go, so I looked around for a cheap souvenir. I wasn't about to pay $10.99 for a keychain so I bought a candy bar for $2 (one that is normally less than $1). Just to get a code. Please do not spent your money at this establishment! I have experienced nothing but southern hospitality here in Texas until today, the sales woman was the most rude and implement person I've encountered. Upon arrive she greeted me with "if there's liquid in your cup you need to be careful" as I walked through the store she followed me throughout, was extremely rude to my boyfriend who had a simple question about some merchandise. She followed us into the hallway and out the doors . Telling us we could not use the restroom (not part of the store whatsoever) and that we needed to leave because we did not purchase anything. My boyfriend, his niece, and I thought this looked like a cool store and wanted to look around. Worst part of our day. The older female employee followed us around, asked us at least 4 times some form of "what do you want" "why did you come in here?!" And then aggressively FOLLOWED US OUT OF THE STORE like we had stolen things. We were not rude, told her that we were just looking around at all the cool things there and even had some gifts we were planning on buying. Not sure if it was our age (30, 27, 15) or race since 2 of our party were Hispanic but it was the most unwelcome I have felt anywhere. If she had taken any time to not be aggressive, she would have known that we, 2 first responders, wanted to buy some cute sherriff items for our niece. Just came in this store to get some souvenirs with my bestie from New Jersey... the guy at the counter was extremely rude and yelled at us saying we CANT take selfies in the store... and can only try on the cowboy hats if we were buying them. So I was in Dallas the other day, and we were looking for a gift that says "DALLAS." and we decided to visit this store. they sold a lot of things.... - leather boot (that cost+$170) - cowboy hats (avg +$30) - leather belts (+$100) - t-shirts (+$20) - hoodies (+$40) and it shared a wall with Dallas Cowboys / Stars store. my gf who was a SHARKS fan hated it! LOL anyways... the store was nice, but we really didn't find what we were looking for. not to mention it was a tad expensive. we were expecting a big store! but it was ok size. not too much option. Just left the store, and my experience was bad enough that that I wanted to write a review right away. I had brought my parents, who are visiting from out of state, and my kids downtown to sightsee. My dad saw this place and wanted to check it out. Walking in, it's your typical touristy western souvenir shop. My daughter saw some stuffed animals and my dad let her pick one out to buy. The lady working, came up and took the animal from my child saying she would hold it for her till she bought it. This irritated me, but I understand them not wanting kids messing up merchandise then not buying it. From that point the lady was on us like flies on poop. My dad checked out and the lady practically accused him of stealing his cowboy hat that he had been wearing all day. He told her he got it somewhere else and she said, "oh, you came in with that?" I recommend staying clear of this place. The lady, who I would bet is the same one other reviewers have encountered, has a bad attitude and will treat you like you are there to rob the place. I used to bring everyone that came to visit me in Dallas to this store and was never excited about the product but my guest always bought something. Well never again. Not sure if I carry the look of a convict or if the attendant just one of the rudest people in Dallas; I've never been treated like this. I came in with a party of 5 plus a baby and was treated like we came in there to shoplift. Yes I'm here to to shoplift the plastic Sherrif Badges with "Tanner" etched on it... This is a nice store. The cowboy boots are comparable in price to anywhere else (so get over it), but the selection is really good. Also lots of nice hats, belts, etc. - everything quality. Our saleswoman J'Lee was awesome and very knowledgeable. The boots I saw ranged from $260 -$1250. Mine cost $300 and I love them. read more

Don't waste your time going here. The lady that runs it will treat you like you are there to shoplift. She will shadow you and aggressively ask you questions until she drives you out of the store. From the outside this store looks captivating and like it has a lot of souvenir options. Walking in, the first 5 seconds were enjoyable. You're eyes scan the store and there are your typical magnets, t-shirts, cowboy hats, boots and then my thoughts of what to buy are interrupted. A lady walks past us that would make the grinchs face look angelic (before his heart grew) and says "Hi, what can I help you with?" So I smile, thinking maybe her sourness is because she's not seen a kind face all day. "Oh, nothing in particular just wanted to browse. The store looked so neat from the outside we wanted to come in." (No smile was returned.) She waited about 45 seconds before asking if we were looking for a boy or girl. Ummmm ... Afraid she didn't hear us, my sister and I smiled and said "oh we were just looking, but thank you." By now she's not lost the sour look and truly acts like she hates her job, which made my mind up that just maybe she just wants to work without customers... So we gave her what she wanted. So, me and my friend are from California and we visited texas last week. This is the worst western store I have ever been to. The prices or too expensive. Shirts cost 32 bucks. Basically the shirts look like you can make them yourself. It look like mostly everything comes from Mexico. Basically, you would be better off saving money buying the same items from the store if you take a vacation to Mexico. Cowboy and Cowgirl boots cost $159-$200 when I swear I saw the same boots elsewhere for $35. I wouldnt recommend this shop it is a total scam. Last but not least me and my friend visited a cowboy shop in the north park mall and found shirts way cheaper than the cowboy shop at wild wild west. read more
