They had a small selection from $6.30 to $22.80. I may be all about organic and natural, but I'm no fool - you can keep that $22.80 all to ya self! The staff is well versed in the products they stock, which meant the cashier was helpful when I asked her to recommend a product. Turns out she was familiar with Toms of Main. I wanted something comparable, so she helped me make an informed decision. I was also pleased to see they carry Dr. Bronners soap. If you don't know about Dr. B's magic soap, get some and have your world rocked! Aside from toiletries, they also stock locally grown produce and dairy. Dry goods such as lentils, rice, pasta, teas and coffee are also readily available. Overall a friendly store. Most of the natural or local organic items you may be seeking can be found here.

They use all organic produce so the juices in particular are so good! They have popular juice options but they're really accommodating if there's a particular combination you want to try - I always get pineapple carrot ginger and lemon....YUM! So so good. Just don't come here if you're in a rush...think hippy vibe in the country and you're on the right track, they definitely take their sweet ass time. They actually have quite a lot of products for babies which I'm always on the lookout for, they stock the whole Weleda range and also the range of Tru2U sleep support products which are amazing! Believe me, I spent a whole year of no sleep trying to figure out the best way for baby and me to get optimum rest and this stuff has helped so much. They also happen to be in one of the best locations in Devonport, right on the main road in a sunny spot with a little courtyard and a grass area out the front.

I admit that I am not around this area enough to call it my local, but I know several people that do. It has a great reputation and for good reason (even if not the 'cheapest' of organic stores). One of the particular draw cards about Huckleberries is that they sell meat, (as opposed to Harvest). This is great for those of us that are still carnivores but like to know about the sources of our animal consumption. And I can buy pork free snags here - yay! Recently I have been on the hunt for some ethical-eco black eyeliner, I noticed on their website that they stock some, which is great as I was almost ready to give up hope for anything local. The black pencil variety cost $31.00, and I will be making a trip there very soon for that indeed! Staff seem miserable and I would be too if I had to serve rich white boomers and soccer moms whose weekly shop bill equates to my whole weeks wages. Finally, they almost always ask if you've found everything you need; don't be shy about saying if you haven't, as odds on they'll either find it for you, or offer to get it in for you. (Also, despite their address being on Dominion Rd, they don't actually have a frontage onto Dominion Road. To find them turn into Walters Road, then turn into the driveway that points to the Wendy's drive through, and they're just tucked in to your right).

There was a couple of steak which had been seasoned well. The rest of the filling was gravy and melted cheese. Very tasty but could have don with more steak. I mean, I paid for a steak 'n' cheese, not gravy 'n' cheese. I bought an afghan because they looked scrumptious. Unfortunately, it was not as good as it looked. Lastly, I happened to buy a banana and caramel tart. I'm more of a custard pie fan. This was no tart, it was too big. Plus it had no hallmarks of a tart. What it was though, was a banoffee pie. A miniature one. If you love banoffee, then this is the treat for you. Hell, I don't even like banoffee pie. I love this one from the Westside Bakehouse. Walked around the area and found this place for coffee. This a very neat and islander place to relax. It was a grocery store with pre packed food, fresh veggies , fruits , groceries and loved the fresh breads. Baked daily wow. We got their cold coffee latte and it was excellent. I didn't try their sandwiches because I just ate breakfast buffet at the hotel. It such a cute place in a quaint town. Recommended for a quick snacks and refreshments .

I ended up getting a blueberry scone and an iced cafe latte. I think each one was like NZ$7. The scone itself was a big size with lots of berries inside. I like that it came with some butter on the side. They warmed it up and so I used some of the butter and it was delish. It had a slight crust and was chewy on the inside. My iced latte was okay as I wish it had a stronger coffee flavor. They do offer a bunch of baked goods that look scrumptious and wanted to try more.
