We were warmly welcomed by the owners and shown about our cabin. We stayed in the Safari Suite which was perfect for our family, including a toddler and a dog. The cabin is beautiful and very well-appointed, but the primary bathroom is exceptionally stunning and has incredible features like a sauna and rainfall shower. Simply walking the property with our dog was such a treat as well. It was very peaceful, we got to see all sorts of wildlife, and were able to just appreciate the beauty of the land. I can't remember the last time I've been somewhere that you don't have some form of noise pollution. We are definitely looking forward to staying here again when our kiddo is a little bit older and when it's warmer so we can try all of the activities and amenities Edenwood Ranch has to offer!

Yes there is only a port-a-potty and hand sanitizer/water jug situation for washing your hands but... it's a farm. I'm not sure what else is expected. The port-a-potty was in totally acceptable condition for what it was. We did wait quite a while to get on our horses and get going, but we got the treats for the horses (+$10) and really enjoyed just watching the work being done there and petting the dogs and cats and feeding the horses. For us, this waiting portion was a really enjoyable part of our time there! I think it's a matter of your perspective and what experience you're hoping to have. The guides were great with our 6 year old daughter, who wanted to ride her own horse but was nervous about having to control it. She got a very docile horse and the guide was very kind leading her the entire time. The trail was beautiful and the guides were very friendly and kind. They are no-nonsense in some ways but I think that's required! I didn't think I was going to convince our daughter to leave at the end, she was so attached to her horse and all the dogs running around. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend.

The older woman working at the front desk was especially unfriendly and came across as mean and dismissive. A front desk employee sets the tone for the entire experience, and unfortunately she did the opposite. If this stable wants to improve its reputation, it should seriously reconsider who represents the business at the front desk. We came expecting a fun experience and left feeling disappointed. I would not recommend this place based on how we were treated. Oh and someone ahead of us go extremely hurt and the ambulance should up to rescue the rider.

She takes great care of the cabins and always has great suggestions when you ask her about anything local from food to activities. The property is great for walks and there's some horses and donkeys to check out too. Our dogs always feel at home on the ranch. We love to ride ATV trails and Spur of the Moment has trail access. You ride from your front door to anywhere you like in the area, no trailering. On our last trip we brought a side x side and all the great trails permitted our lager machine. All of the meals we ate out we did by riding our machines to and Ann supplied us with maps so we knew where we were going. The trail system has so many local and long distant places to go to it's good for beginners as well as veterans. Last thing that we've always enjoyed is the other guests. The Ranch is not only good to ATV'ers it's VERY horse friendly. On a busy weekend you can have all types of guests and on every trip we've done it's never mattered what you're into, people are just friendly. It's flat out relaxing.

We booked a trail ride for four of us during our family vacation to Wisconsin…read more From the initial phone call, Bob was attentive and responsive, and we were grateful for that, because we'd had no response from stable that were closer to our vacation home. We booked a midday two-hour ride, and when we arrived at the sweet ranch, we were immediately greeted and asked to step into the huge indoor ring for training and horse-matching. We only ride on vacation, so the careful riding instruction from Bob was so much appreciated. He told us EXACTLY how to handle the trail, how to handle the horses while in procession, and how to make the ride easy for ourselves AND the horse! (I will never ever forget him saying, "Give him his face"... clearly loves his animals and wants them properly cared for... so impressive.) Bob explained everything we'd need to keep ourselves and the horses safe, including instruction about mount and dismount, about the bit, bridle, and reins, how to communicate with the horse, and how to apply pressure with feet and legs. Have to stop here to say that I'm 60, and have MS. I explained to Bob and trail guide Mike that I was ready for the ride, but getting on and off the horse would be a challenge. (I was actually prepared for them to tell me that they'd prefer I not do it, but that was not the case.) After discussion, they decided on a horse for me, and made my mount as easy as possible. Bob adjusted my stirrups, made sure that my feet were properly placed in them, and made sure that I was able to find my center of gravity. Each rider got the same treatment. We set out on the trail with our guide Mike, who was pleasant, and quick to help us with questions. He called out to us with instruction on hills, so we could make them easier for the horses. The trail was STUNNING, and the horses clearly knew it well. Following instruction made our ride simple and unforgettable. When we got back to the ring, we asked if we could help with brushing and tack, and we all stayed and enjoyed every minute of that, including getting our horses to the outside ring now that they were finished for the day. Kids LOVED the barn cats and the dogs and chickens on the property... everything so beautifully kept and cared for. I've been riding for pleasure since I was a very young girl, and I can tell you that I have never had such a pleasant experience, from start to finish. These animals are properly cared for, and Bob, as owner, makes certain that each rider understands the power of the animal, as well as how he expects you to treat them. Cannot recommend Paluso enough for an authentic riding experience!

My family and I enjoyed going to this property when it was ran by former owner, Bob Paluso. Unfortunately, the new owner is not family orientated nor friendly. He does not conduct business the way Bob did. Since the new owner has taken over, we have been extremely disappointed. (In a word - he is CRUDE!) Several of our friends have inquired about trail rides, and we have all agreed that the new owner does not possess any customer service skills nor should he be running a public business. The new owner is NOT an equestrian, nor does he take care of these poor horses. We have colleagues that deal with this ranch and the new owner. We have been informed that many of the trail horses are not tended to properly and have ended lame and are unrideable for a multitude of reasons. The new owner was extremely rude to us and to several of our friends/ co-workers. We will not be back! There are so many other choices for trail rides in Wisconsin. We prefer to patronize ranches with customer service, genuine customer relations and old fashion courtesies, Palomino Pines is NOT one of them! (My family and I highly recommend Kurtz's Corral in Sturgeon Bay, Door county and Bighorn Ranch in Arkdale Wi)
