We have been with Wild Roots for the last 3 years...both of my daughters have been with Ms. Brittany since they were 2 1/2. Now my oldest is entering K and she couldn't be more prepared...reading, writing, math, the list goes on! The kids are exposed to so many wonderful things at Wild Roots. They are even growing their own garden of veggies! All of the teachers & staff truly care about each and every child and they get so much one on one attention on a daily basis. I am always amazed when one of my kids come home and tells me something that they learned at school that I didn't even think they had they would learn until grade school! Our four and two year old attend Wild Roots Preschool; we couldn't ask for a better place to send our little guys. Miss Brittany has such a beautiful vision for early childhood education, and she has attracted a wonderful staff. I know my kids' personalities are being fostered, and they are learning concepts I never would have dreamed possible in preschool. Empathy, respect, conservation, and grace are predominant themes at WRP. We will be hard pressed to find a grade school that lives up to the standard set by Miss Brittany and her staff. Wild Roots is an extraordinary environment for children to learn and grow in. The blend or Reggio Emilia and Montessori teaching philosophies gives a wonderful balance of play and growth through specific works. My oldest daughter attended school there for three years and were amazed by not only how much she learned but the kindness of each teacher she worked with. All of them had such a heart for children and learning and provided daily updates on my daughters day upon pick-up and through parent teacher meetings. I'm so proud to see the communication and life skills my daughter has learned through teachings on peaceful ways to solve conflict. The arts program focuses greatly on the children creating what they wish and it gives them such a feeling of confidence and self. Our second child will be attending in the fall and our family feels so blessed by such a nurturing place for her to grow and flourish. My wife and I moved to Temecula from the Calabasas area in Los Angeles renown for its high academic standards even at the preschool level. We had a fantastic experience sending our eldest daughter (through ages 2-3) to a Montessori based program in the Calabasas area and quite honestly did not have high hopes of finding a school in Temecula that would meet the high expectations we had grown accustomed to. We were dead wrong. Wild Roots Preschool has exceeded each and every expectation we had as parents on every front (social environment, staff qualifications and dedication, caliber of academic curriculum, thoughtfulness and focus on overall program). The administrative and teaching staff is readily accessible and goes above and beyond on a daily basis. It is a very communal environment where each staff member not only knows each student but understands them as individuals. They care deeply about the overall well being and learning experience of the children to ensure that they have a strong foundation to propel them forward in the world with a positive, heathy and confident perspective. We have seen too many positive changes and leaps forward with both of our daughters to list here. Suffice it to say that we are so grateful to have found Wild Roots and are indebted to the entire staff who take such care to prepare each child so that they may enjoy a bright future and succeed in whatever they choose to accomplish. This is a great school. When we moved here from NYC we left a really awesome school, so our search for an acceptable daycare for our 18 month old son was extensive. He was in the Sage room for just about 11 months and Tanya and Rachel were pivotal during this critical period of his development. Their devotion and dedication to their kids is unquestioned and they made sure our boy was potty trained before we had to move on to our next adventure. It was very difficult when we had to leave the area and change schools because we've all grown to really trust each other and our boy has made such good friends. The facilities have lots of room for the kids to play outside and really explore and practice their fine motor skills. They ride bikes, do arts and crafts, lots of water play, and one day they were flying paper airplanes! It's was great. The Amazing Athletes program was also provided and our son loved it! He learned about different sports and the Amazing Athletes shirt is one of his favorites that he loves to wear all the time. Over the course of the 11 months, a lunch program developed and we were very pleased that vegetarian options were available and the food provided was made with fresh and organic ingredients. Our only complaint would be that this place follows a "normal school" schedule with week long spring and winter breaks. As a primary daycare for our young child, this made it inconvenient with both of us working. But we got through it, it's all good. We highly recommend this school to anyone in the area. read more

In searching for a toddler program/ preschool for our daughter, we found none that compared with Wild Roots. From the start, our child was welcomed with open arms into an environment that reminded us of home, while also being educational and socializing (our daughter is an only child, so socialization was one of our biggest concerns for her pre-K years). Now that we have met a number of other parents, we are further solidified in our decision of having our daughter attend Wild Roots. ALL (and when I say "all", I mean "all"!) of the teachers have been absolutely amazing and I am constantly in awe of their abilities to maintain patience and caring-- even when pick-up my daughter in the later afternoon hours. I highly recommend Wild Roots for anyone seeking a childcare/preschool program which encourages play, self-awareness, empathy, life skills, and relevant academics. Every other parent I've spoken with has felt the same (so far) and I look forward to another great year at Wild Roots. Disappointed! My wife and I vetted several day care centers and narrowed our contenders to ABC Child Care Village, Discovery Isle Child Development Center, and Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center. Ultimately, we decided on this day care center because they have a great Montessori program, the teachers we encountered seemed really nice, and the tour provided by Ms. Brittany was very informative. After we left, Ms. Brittany emailed us a promotion indicating that the registration and materials costs for the remainder of this school year would be waved if we signed up now. The promotion also included a 20% tuition discount on the remainder of this school year (until August.) There were no strings attached when this was offered to us. Upon our next visit to sign the enrollment paperwork Ms. Tanya (front counter/teacher) informed us that the promotion offered to us was only valid if we paid next school year's registration and material fees ahead of time. She went on to tell us that the 20% tuition discount offered to us only applied for two weeks until they finished subdividing a new classroom where my daughter would be transferred to. We explained to Ms. Tanya that we were not informed that the promotion came with any caveats and that we would pay for next year's registration and materials fees when we registered our daughter for the next school year. (sounds reasonable no?) My wife forwarded the promotional email to Ms. Tanya hoping this would clarify the situation. Ms. Tanya also called Ms. Brittany to discuss. -this would have been the adequate time for them to have clarified their lack of missing information followed by a sincere apology. To our dismay Ms. Tanya doubled-down on her stance siting their "policy" and apologizing for the "misunderstanding" (-implied on our part. As if we were informed but we misunderstood.) Wow. I am not saying that this place engages in Bait-and-Switch but it sure felt like it. I would have willingly paid next year's registration and materials fees if they would have disclosed them when offering the promotion. I would have also payed them in August when actually registering my daughter for that school year. The next morning I called to Ms. Tanya to inform her that we would not be enrolling my daughter in their program. She was very apologetic and sympathetic. Ms. Brittany emailed my wife 2 days later to apologize as well. The whole situation was handled terribly and we do not want to be arguing with a day care over critical pieces of omitted information. My wife and I were already feeling uneasy about the vehicular noise and air quality coming from Jefferson St. I was even willing to overlook the loud noise and diminished playground air quality that will be produced by the construction of their brand new building adjacent to their play grounds. (-in retrospect, I feel kind of guilty thinking that I would be willing to subject my kid to a construction site's environment.) Best of luck to Wild Roots but there are other day care centers at the same educational caliber but without the hassle and in more peaceful settings. read more

I love this school. Wild Roots has surpassed every expectation my husband and I had for our child's preschool experience. The staff is passionate, youthful, personable, approachable, accountable, and invested. The environment has been optimal for the development of our daughter. She absolutely loves her school, My only concern would be finding a school on par with Wild Roots when the time comes to matriculate. If you are searching for a place to enroll your child, you would do well to consider Wild Roots. I enrolled my son at exactly 18 months, the minimum age for enrolling. This is one of the few pres-schools in the area that will admit toddlers in diapers. My motivation to start him in preschool so early was for him to socialize as he's an only child and learn certain daily skills such as hygeine, feeding, etc as his nanny coddles him too much while I'm at work and does everything for him. I put down my deposit right away after I tour the facilities. I like the fact that it's not a home daycare/preschool. It's actually an academic program. The teacher/toddler ratio is very low, and it's montesssori teaching method appeals to me as my son is not the type to sit still and learn. The facilities is clean and spacious, every space is fully ultilizes to maximize the learning experience. Tne staff and teachers are welcoming, pleasant, and very accomodating. My son didn't cry on his first day, after one week he was grabbing his backpack at exactly 8 am every morning and waited by the door for the nanny to take him to school. After one month, he learned how to wash his hands before and after every meal, he's very good with his please and thank you now. He's also better at sharing while playing with the neighbor's kid, patiently waiting for his turn at a toy. He's also better at entertaining himself while I'm cooking for doing chores, vs clinging to me before. He loves to spend his day outside watering plants with the nanny or his dad. My mom from out of town visited one day and decided to spend the entire day at school with him. She also videotaped and took pictures of everything he does and the teacher and director didn't mind one bit. After viewing the videos and pictures, it reaffirmed that I made the right decision in choosing Wild Roots. I agree with one of the reviewer's comment that "these women make if look effortless". Ms. Rachael handles her class with so much love and grace. It brought me so much joy to see him interact with other kids his age, learning and exploring new things. Everyone from the director to the teacher are always available to answer my questions and give me updates. I really appreciate Ms. Rachael periodic email updates on my son's progress. I can't wait for my son to start their pre-K programm. read more

From the very first day we walked through the doors of this amazing school, we knew it was the right place for our son. Every single teacher is dedicated & passionate about education and helping the children grow, discover and learn in a holistic & loving environment. I love that they offer Parent Education Night to help bridge the gap between school and home. I could truly go on and on about the reasons I love this school and feel so grateful that it's available in our town. The Montessori Room, The Atelier {Reggio Amelia Room}, The Playroom and the holistic organic back playground is so well thought out and cared for. They truly take pride in what they are offering and it shows. My son is in the toddler room with his two favorite people, Miss Rachel and Miss Amanda. He absolutely loves it! He comes home every day he's there talking all about his friends and the awesome discoveries they made that day. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SCHOOL/DAYCARE!!! I was nervous when I first decided to enroll my son here. My mother had always been his nanny and making the transition to a daycare definitely gave me mixed emotions, as most parents experience. The staff at Wild Roots have been nothing short of EXCEPTIONAL. My son absolutely LOVES going here. He is learning so many new words, numbers, letters and is very happy when I drop him off/pick him up. His teachers are wonderful, caring and loving individuals. They will always take time to talk about his day, what he's learning and how he is growing/adapting daily. At home my son constantly talks about his teachers that he ADORES. I cannot believe how GREAT this school is. The energy and environment is calm, peaceful and all of the kids are always happy. We had our daughter at preschool with the owner before Wild Roots moved to its current location and were happy to move her along to where it is now. We had wonderful experiences with the staff and teachers during the initial transition, as well as in setting up the program as it shifted, and all along the way in her education there. Any questions or concerns were addressed in an open and caring manner (I am that mom who asks a million questions and has lots of ideas to help :)). Our daughter did so well at school, she loved going, she was treated respectfully by all involved, and she thrived in the environment. Her learning was wonderful and I was impressed with her retention of new concepts - the ways she was taught were such a great match to her learning style, which was always addressed in our teacher meetings. I feel her success in her current grade is due to the care and attention, and teaching she received at Wild Roots. She is reading two grades above her grade level and still doing well in math. We loved having her at Wild Roots and I always felt comfortable and safe with her in their care. read more
