Update: two days after receiving the bouquet, I now have beautiful light pink and white flowers blooming. So pretty.

Corsage and boutonniere

When I went in asking about a corsage and boutonniere, was told to talk to the owner and apparently she was super busy doing something else and really had no time to talk about it. She was very short and said we have 3 colors to choose from, and pawned me off on another associate. Picked up the corsage and boutonniere and the corsage was tiny. Paid $70 for both pieces. Will not recommend or go back. Very disappointing.

Flower arrangement with tulips and purple vibe

Love the flower arrangement! Thank you! I called today to order a flower arrangement, I shared with them what I wanted. They made the arrangement so perfect, just the way I had envisioned, and even delivered on the same day. Love your service! Thank you.

The attention to detail is amazing!

The delivery driver texted me to make sure someone would be around to receive the flowers. They didn't want to leave the flowers outside and take a chance that the quality would be compromised. It definitely wasn't the drop and run that other delivery companies practice. The arrangement was gorgeous and lasted so long! There were very unique flowers and touches to the arrangement that I'd never seen before. Overall I was just impressed by the care of the staff regarding my purchase and the attention to detail they took.

I recently used Wild Root. The rose bouquet was stunning and the lady on the phone was very kind. Will definitely use them again.

Treasure Village - It's going to take a while to fill this sucker!

I'm always up for an adventure, (as if my eye thing wasn't adventure enough) especially with any of my girls. Sure enough I said as she pulled into Treasure Village. Right from the get go I knew this place was going to be good. It had that musty smell. You know that smell when you walk into grandma's old house? Come to think of it, when I was young, and I first smelled that smell, I thought that it was grandma. But I soon found that It was old gold just waiting to be rediscovered. After poking around a bit I stumbled upon a real cool huge glass bottle. I've always wanted one of those. I said "hey Missy, check this out" I know, she replied as she was talking to a clerk. She spied it before I did. She was attempting to negotiate the price to a more favorable proposition. The clerk said that she'd have to call the gentleman who is selling it. So we went on with our treasure hunt. This store has a lot of twists and turns, ups and downs in it. Stuff is everywhere. Search closely to uncover a special find. We did and we found. I lost track of Missy somewhere in the labyrinth of rooms and aisles. When we met up again it was by the front counter. I asked if she heard from the seller of the big bottle. Missy said "I sure did daddy, happy father's day!" That girl made the deal and I am now the proud owner of a 13 gallon glass bottle. I love that girl! What am I going to do with it you ask? I'm going to fill it with coins of course. My 5 gallon bottle is full. Quick Tip: Be careful going up and down the stairs going up to the second floor. The steps are about half as wide as normal stairs are. I told my granddaughter that they were like this because back in the day women wore hoop skirts and had to go down the stairs sideways. Oh grandpa she said. Those are my favorite words.

Amish Welcome Center - Wagon Tours - During one of the stops in Amish Country

Amish Welcome Center - Wagon Tours

Taking a trip to Amish country was quite interesting. I lived in Pennsylvania for 3 months a long…read moretime ago and never saw any Amish, so this was completely new to me. We stopped at the Welcome Center but they weren't offering any wagon tours on the day we visited. So, we took a look around the shop instead. I bought a spiral wind spinner but nothing else appealed to me, mostly looked like donations. Some things were hand made but overall, it felt like it was more of a Goodwill than anything. It was cluttered and unorganized. My grandma and aunt wanted to use the restrooms on site but said they were extremely dirty and decided to use a local gas station's instead. The Amish are very nice people but there are rules. Don't take photos of them, some believe it takes their souls and others believe it expresses individualism. If you aren't Amish, be prepared to have people staring at you and the kids are not supposed to talk to anyone unless making a sale. Overall, everything was affordable and during our drive around, we purchased some peanut brittle, jams, and jarred veggies. Just bring cash, of course. It would be nice to come back and take a wagon tour but it also feels weird that our modern-day culture sees the Amish as some sort of entertainment. So, I'm very indifferent about this experience.
