Update: She did not like me posting this review on her Facebook page and has since blocked me on top of removing all possible reviews for those who have access. Reason for me not going back a 3rd time is because not only should I have to go to a salon three times for the same issue on top of worrying that she would do more damage. What I requested is what I ask for every time I get my hair cut so I'm unsure of how that's different from what she noted but no surprise as it looks like we're trying to spin the narritve here. And as a child of a single mother, I get it the whole "working mother mentality". However using your children as an excuse to make someone else look like their inconsiderate is absolutely uncalled for and untrue. Additionally, the reason why I waited 3 months to post something (with pictures taken the week of) was because I did not want to write a review showing how upset I was about my hair because I felt bad. But now that I've gotten my hair somewhat repaired by a different salon I regret not posting sooner and warning others of this type of 'service'.

Long story short, this woman has absolutely no idea what she's doing and ruined my hair.
I asked for a trim, lots of layers, bangs, and a little bit of thinning since my hair is very heavy. I'm not sure what she did at the time but she definitely didn't do any of that. I have very thick/borderline coarse hair and she told me that my hair is actually really thin and that layers would look bad on me. Despite being told that layers would look bad on me, she drastically thinned my hair down to my scalp and used a weaving technique for my "layers" that left full gaps in my hair. On top of all of that, my hair was very noticeably uneven from all angles, had very blunt ends and felt like a mop. I called to see if she could fix it and she was very accommodating in seeing me late at night but she never once acknowledged her mistakes or even came close to apologizing. When I first saw her, she had her two son's with her who were extremely distracting throughout the whole appointment. She was yelling at them the entire time trying to discipline them and ended up stopping my hair cut every other minute to pull them down from a display or take something away from them. I figured that was the reason why my hair was not done properly the first time. But after going back to get it "fixed" without them there, it's pretty obvious that she does not know what she's doing. I'm not a stylist but at one point she asked me if my hair was even or not and kept asking me if something looked "okay".
I waited a few months for it to grow out and went to a different salon where they basically confirmed my suspicions. This woman does not know how to properly cut hair nor does she know what she's doing. Now I have to start a very long journey and process in fixing my hair back to how I originally wanted it and what works best for hair type because she basically ruined it.
