I really enjoy the way they approach washing your hair. They treat it like an experience rather than a task. All this takes place in a separate room with dimmed lighting and often soothing music. It is a great environment to relax, and the scalp massage takes it over the top! Over the years, both my daughters have seen the results of my experience at the salon and started going to Elevation as well. This was quite a feat as my girls have curly hair and bad experiences with other salons made them hesitant to try yet someone else new. They've both been real pleased with their experiences too. Aja as well as Gena are at least two stylists at the salon who know how to work with naturally curly hair which is a plus. Great atmosphere, experience, and styles makes it a smart idea for Elevation to be your salon of choice.

Still love the old salon, but couldn't separate myself from her skilz Salon specific stuff... - It's small, intimate and super chic (pronounced sheek... not chick people) - artsy and clever design elements make it a fun place to look around while you're waiting - fireplace in the winter. brilliant. - the shampoo area is a separate room... dark, quiet & relaxing music unlike the other spot in town, this place does accept tips which is fine with me because as I said, Heidi is pretty fabulous and she shampoos my hair too so its not like you have to tip two separate people I have long hair which i fear getting cut, so having someone who knows how to cut perfect layers and color it just right in a unique little salon is right up my alley, or in this case right up Eldorado :-)

I used to go to Jennie's for haircuts, manicures and pedicures. The last time I went and had a…read morepedicure I got a fungal infection on two of my toenails. I stopped going for pedicures. It's taken me a long time to almost get rid of it. Here is the interesting part. I went in for a haircut, and the pedicurist saw me and said I haven't been in for a long time and asked if I would like to schedule a pedicure. I'm assuming she remembered me because I give good tips. I told her I have a fungal infection from the last time and I still have it. She said no problem; she would still give me a pedicure. I am not sure, but if someone has a fungal infection, should the salon be giving them pedicures. Isn't that how I got it? I feel the bowl wasn't cleaned properly or they didn't have an autoclave for the instruments. Well, I am still trying to get rid of this fungal infection. But I don't even go for haircuts anymore. I don't think it's very clean there.

The appointment was made correctly but I felt she was very inexperienced dealing with long hair. As she did my hair she continued to complain about how she had to use more product and really didn't have time to do my hair. She was very rough with me tugging and pulling. She would constantly tell me it was going to cost more to do my hair. She then told me after my hair was colored that she didn't have time to cut it. That I'll have to make another appointment to have it cut. Then she hesitated in wanting to at least blow dry it. She had to have help but by that time my head was so sore from all the pulling that I couldn't take the mistreatment anymore. I got up and paid the bill. No tip of course because of the mistreatment.

She took me to wash my hair and then to her work station. You could tell right away that Kim really enjoyed her work. The message went unreturned for hours and when I finally received a call back, I was met with the attitude of, "Well I wouldn't have scheduled if I knew I couldn't make it." Extremely unprofessional and rude, especially when you don't know what is going on in a customer's life. Now I'm out money without a service because of a lack of communication. If you only allow 24 hours notice without charge, don't allow next-day appointments. UPDATE: my instagram comment regarding the matter has been deleted and I have seen 4 of the stylists on their own accounts look at my Instagram stories.

They were very accommodating, the owner listened to what we wanted in order to fix the chopped up mess we walked in with. The gentleman who cut his hair did exactly what we wanted and did it was done well. Plus, he got a full facial grooming, eyebrows, beard/mustache trim etc.. highly recommend this place.
