I happened to be in the…read moreGlenview area and visited that Wild Fork location a few days ago and I was initially impressed with what I thought was a clean store and quality product. I picked a pork item to take home and try. When I got home and started to thaw it out, I noticed that the item I purchased had expired 1 1/2 months before the purchase date. This was a use by date, not a purchase by date, so it had no shelf life. I thought any establishment would be embarrassed to sell a product 1 1/2 months after the expiration date. Now here's the problem. The Glenview store is 40 minutes from me. I am much closer to the Mt. Prospect store and I was under the impression that the Wild Fork sign on both stores means that they would both back up product sold by the Wild Fork corporation. Well Mt. Prospect wouldn't help me in any way since I did not buy the item there. Don't give me the "franchise" excuse. If Wild Fork can't figure out how to stand behind their product, no matter which location, I have no reason to ever set foot in any of their stores again.
