I finally got a chance to check out the store during a recent Yelp event. I love this place!!!! It has so much to offer from pre-prepared meals to large meats that take quite the commitment to prepare. The people there were helpful and knowledgeable. I simply love the layout of the store. Came to wild fork today been wanting to come here and if I knew their was one in cali btw I live in California for reference sake I would have gone much earlier than this so the place is a playground for foodies and I'm a foodie and I loved it I don't know why they call it a butcher shop. There's nobody cutting meat in this store, but still it is a cool store. The Service in the store was excellent.the employees know a lot about the products not much ambiance it's a grocery store it's nice and clean very bright inside. This place is wonderful I will be back maybe not in this state but I will be back. read more

If you're looking for exotic meats, sustainable foods, rare cuts, and just about every kind of seafood you can think of, this is the place! I came here just looking to meal plan and left with a full basket of beef, shrimp, and fish. It's not so easy to find elk, venison, alligator, or kangaroo. They come flash frozen but don't let that stop you. So far, I've cooked a few of them and am very impressed with everything so far. The store is great, but communication about your order being ready should come via text. I say this because the the email seems to go to junk and you don't see it so it becomes a game of, maybe it's ready.... Maybe it's not. My bigger issue is, I have referred a few people here and today was the first time I actually sent the code and everything. I told this person, no worries about being able to pick it up today, your first order is eligible for free delivery. She does this, mind you the delivery is outsourced to doordash, and gets a total A-Hole, the kind I can only describe as what you see online and wonder if this is for real. She sent me the ADT door bell video of him acting like an ass, cussing her out, demanding a better tip and throwing a part of her order out in to a field. Demanding he should get a better tip because he drove 12 miles in rush hour, as if she chose his career. She doesn't have a car, she uses her daughters when needed because all of the places she typically needs are within walking distance. I may never ever refer anyone here again and may never shop her again based on the type of people they allow to serve their customers. Shame on them, to think this was a first experience for her. I hope she also posts a review, but I know I am because in this economy people can go anywhere and don't need this. read more

This place just opened in Vernon Hills three weeks ago, finally I had a chance to stop by and see what it's all about! They just sell ALL frozen items! There are lots to choose from! There's frozen seafood, frozen meats, frozen bakery goods, frozen fruits and many more! The place is very clean and organized! The staff are very friendly and serve with a smile! Plenty of parking space! It's right across from Melody Farms shopping center! read more

Two concerns: 1) Bought the Lake White Fish. There is no way that was white fish. The fillets were very small, the fish was dense and tough, and the flavor was off-putting. I would never buy this again. 2) One of the products we bought was relabeled with a new "best by" date that was six months later than the label below. I only noticed because the original label started peeling. Makes me wonder how much care they put into the quality of their product and its safety. Be careful when buying here. read more

I watched them build the building for Wild Fork, not knowing anything about the store or products. I looked up International Sausages online and Wild Fork came up 3 or 4 times. I went there and I was supper impressed. They have only frozen foods but you will find almost anything and the staff are so friendly! I found sausages from Argentina, Brazil, Spain and lots of general sausages. Even small whole baby pigs frozen for BBQ on a spit! Great experience and will be returning! read more

I received an invitation to their customer appreciation event on Saturday. The event was to run from 1-5. We arrived a little before 4 to see them taking down the event. They stated they didn't know how many people would attend. This was interesting as attendees were required to RSVP and have tickets. Disappointed to drive 25 minutes to an event that was no longer occurring. We did check out the store which had a large variety of items that other stores do not carry. However, due to the mishap with the event I'm not sure we will be going to the store again. read more

Fantastic selection of all kinds of meat, seafood, and poultry. The prime outer skirt steak I bought there was excellent--so tender and flavorful. Looking forward to trying the higher quality pork they have.also. They have Waygu also--bring lots of money for that --lol ! Everything is sold frozen--nothing fresh--but flash frozen is really better than meat that has been sitting in the meat display. Very clean--highly recommend. read more

After having the very best rib roast at my mother in law's for Christmas I had to try Wildfork one more time! She recommended I go to the location at Vernon where she shops at, I was so happy I did!! We're planning on doing a New Years dinner and there was so much to choose from, I couldn't decide!! We were greeted by a man named Kristian who I later found out is the manager. Such a knowledgeable and friendly guy!! He knows so much of the product, even if I asked a million questions. He made me and my husband feel so welcomed!! He even gave us some recommendations and even informed me on how to prep and cook my selections. He did such an outstanding job winning us over to shop at this store!! My husband was so impressed with how many meats there were since he's such a big grilling guy!! I am definitely returning to this location, they treated us far better than the Glenview store did!! We are definitely going to be shopping here more often!! I can't believe we spent over $200 and we have so much for our deep freezer!! I also cooked a few items for a trial run before the big day and they came out amazing!!! Thank you Kristian and to the rest of the team that was there who assisted us!!
