We stopped into Wild Flour after finding it online as a friendly coffee shop with free WiFi. When we got there we mentioned to the girl at the front that we are working remotely and asked if it would be okay if we worked from the cafe. She said it was no problem and gave us the WiFi information to use. We ordered two breakfast burritos, one regular coffee and a vanilla latte and sat at a small table in the corner working while we were waited on our order. We had been there maybe 45 minutes when the owner came in and the entire vibe of the place changed. She sat in the front, texting on her phone while customers were waiting to order and chewing gum in their face once she acknowledged them. Not long after, she asked us to take our work somewhere else, even though we had just bought several items from her store and we had made sure to ask before we sat down if it was okay to hang out there. The WiFi was locked so we wouldn't have been able to use it unless we had previously asked for it.
This whole incident took place in a matter of an hour. We had just barely finished eating and enjoying our drinks before she ruined our entire view of this place. Didn't know there was such thing as a rude Canadian! read more
