SOME WOUNDS NEVER HEAL. SOME PAIN NEVER LEAVES…read more We trusted Garden State Pet Center with our precious sugar gliders. Now our little girl is hospitalized, we have spent $4,000 trying to save her, and she may lose her tail. My wife cries, cannot eat normally, and is losing weight from heartbreak. Every day, we live with the fear of losing a little soul who means the world to us. I WANT NO MONEY. I WANT NO APOLOGY. I WANT NOTHING FROM THIS BUSINESS. But I hope everyone who reads this understands one thing: an animal's suffering does not end when the customer walks out the door. The pain follows the family home. It sits at the dinner table. It steals sleep, appetite, and peace of mind. Our little girl cannot speak for herself. So I am speaking for her. We will never forget what our family is going through. And I hope no other family ever has to learn this kind of heartbreak the way we have. UPDATE: The owner's response still leaves a critical question unanswered: how did our sugar glider suffer such a serious tail injury while in their care? I saw a dog moving freely around the store, and I cannot help wondering whether there could have been an incident involving that dog. I cannot claim to know exactly what happened, but the possibility is deeply concerning. Our little girl is hospitalized, we have spent approximately $4,000 on veterinary care, and she may lose her tail. My family is suffering, and no amount of money can undo this experience. I am not looking for sympathy, compensation, or apologies. I want other pet owners to understand why the safety and supervision of their animals must never be taken for granted.

It seems increasingly difficult these days to find a shop where the sales help is not only…read moreknowledgeable but also interested in sharing that knowledge. Wild Birds Unlimited in Cherry Hill is such a shop. Having no experience with backyard bird feeding I went to this shop for the first time last week. It was packed with patrons. Within a few minutes I understood why. Karin, one of the associates, spent time patiently explaining everything a novice like myself needed to know in order to get started. She was genuinely interested and very encouraging, making me feel that, yes, I could succeed at placing and maintaining a bird feeder that would attract the birds I want visiting my backyard and also how to deter pesky squirrels looking for a treat. I observed that the other two associates in this shop were equally engaged with clientele. Nice! I completed my purchase and was given a beginner guide and a chart to help me identify the birds I hoped to see. The best part of this story, of course, is that within 3 days I had regular visitors to the feeder and I am just delighted with my early success with my new hobby. I had originally thought to visit a big box store , make a purchase and hope for the best. So very glad I listened to a friend who told me about Wild Birds Unlimited. Terrific shop.

No surprises here, it is lots of bird related items (food for outside, bird watching information,…read moreetc.). They can be helpful if you're not sure what you are looking for and post information about people and what they are seeing in the area. Only drawback is their hours, usually close at 6pm during the week, which can make it hard to get to sometimes. Their bird baths are nice too, you don't see that at a lot of stores, but they have quite a variety for such a smaller store.

Like Toys R Us for birds supplies & birds. You could spend hours lost in here…read more My bf and I decided to take a 80mile road trip to check this store out. We took our budgies along for the trip. We had them wait in the car just to be safe. (dont worry, Ac was on and one of us was always with them. We switched off) When we first arrived, there was a huge sales tent outside. So we checked that out first, it was a mix of toys and other goods. Some of it looked damaged or overstocked, but we found some good finds Once we got inside, I felt like a kid walking into a candy store with all the toy selections available. It was rather overwhelming, along with a huge selection dedicated to just building bird toys. Highlights - A ton of baby birds and birds out for display, you could touch and hold the birds. Just remember to sanitize your hands before you touch them. We wanted to check out the baby cockatiels and potentially welcome a new family member. We wanted to try holding a cockatiel but non of the birds seem interested, and we didn't want to stress them out. Guess none of the birds choose us this time, not meant to be. Also they have a section that dispense bird food, this would be a good way to try different products in smaller qualities for your bird. Price wise- not bad, some of these items you wont find so easily online but some more common items were more pricy. I would price compare with Amazon just in case. What we wished for- I wish they offered bird toy building demos, this would be helpful for those of us curious about the process and having a guide would make the whole experience less stressful. There were some items that weren't bird safe being sold in the store, I'm aware that a lot of customers ask for these items. I just wish that there was warning/disclaimer about them. ex; the happy hut, millet holder(for budgies & small birds). Service- The cashiers were polite but not overly friendly. They were surprised that I was getting so much stuff just for two spoiled little budgies. In the end, we ended up just buying more toys for budgies and toy building supplies.
