Our deck is a first generation Trex and it has weathered over the last 12 years and I painted it with Deck Over 3 years and it was all falling off and just looked done in. Celeste came to our rescue with 3 books of samples of her work. We were blown away, it looked so fresh, colorful and European. We decided on a look that would work with our Mid Century home, incorporate colors from our succulents and have a touch of an aquatic theme. She and her crew worked for two weeks and made the most colorful original art piece I've ever seen. Luckily, I found Kathie on Google and Yelp. She replied very fast and explained everything very clearly. Then, we choose to do a half figure oil painting in 30 * 24. This portrait was worked from my wife's photo. After asking me about my wife's preference in arts, Kathie decided to change the original background (sky and sea) into a more classic one. I could imagine it wouldn't be easy to make two different pictures into one, because the artist had to adjust coloring, lighting and a lot of details very carefully. During the progress of painting, Kathie kept me updated and asked my feedback, until I felt it was perfect. The final work was astounding and totally beyond my expectations. My wife looked elegant in the portrait (of course in person as well) with abundant beautiful details on her hair and dress (which must be very time consuming for the artist, thanks Kathie). Because I lived overseas, Kathie also helped me a lot with packaging and shipping. She tracked the package everyday, until the painting was in my hands with perfect condition. My wife loves this gift very much. It's not only about the skills, but also the passion of the artist that we can tell from the portrait. We hired Lauren to paint a California beach scene in our son's bedroom. We knew we wanted a few key…read moreelements incorporated into the mural (VW bus, Manhattan Beach pier, ocean, surfers) and then we collaborated with Lauren on the rest. She offered us options for different levels that varied by size (and the number of walls) and price. She visited our home and took measurements of the room and ultimately I trusted her instincts on what would and wouldn't work. We settled on a one-wall design that was created with the idea that we could always continue the mural on to the adjacent wall.
