She also referred me to someone who does para medical tattoos in Atlanta, to further disguise the difference in color on the scars from breast reconstruction surgery, and abdominoplasty. She is an extremely warm person, and I felt that we had a lot in common. Not only did I make a new friend, but the treatment eliminated the vertical lines on my upper lip and reduced the appearance of laugh lines and scowl lines. It's a plasma laser, which is burning with little zaps, after she applied a numbing cream, so you will need to rest, and maybe not plan public appearances for a week. Will go back for another treatment for my crows feet eventually. What she does is magic, and such a sweet person!

I live in Italy so I was concerned about finding a salon for hair and makeup in Alabama. I called…read morethe salon and booked an appointment for my stepdaughter's wedding explaining what I wanted. I called the evening before the appointment to confirm and hoped for the best. I arrived at 9 am the morning of the wedding, and let's just say jet lag and other issues meant that both Emily and Emily had their work cut out. In less than 3 hours they worked their magic and turned my hot messy self into a presentable Step-MOB. These two professionals are my #AlabamaAngels ! If you need any special occasion work, I can't imagine any better service or results. If either Emily is visiting Naples, Italy in the next few years, I'm buying the wine and pizza!

Price given at time of booking $220 for 8:30. I arrived next day on time, was told someone would be there shortly. No problem, life happens. A young lady comes in about 8:55 asks me what did I say I was getting, told her Kinky Twists. SHE asked me what price did they give me, I said $220. It took about 8 1/2 hours. (That was long for me, for twists and not braids...but I had time that day). Upon completion of my braids, they tell me the price is $260. I said, I was quoted $220. They said, but she did that style, which I thought were still kinky twists. I said yes. But SHE did that, even after her asking and me telling her. Then she said what about $240. And then added $5 for processing. I said okay though I didn't agree. To me I felt that was a bit shady and I didn't like the change up. However, I tipped both and left. The vibe in the place was okay, when another Braider came in with worship she shifted the atmosphere into Peace. Love that!

She said "I'm not going to schedule you a toner because Ty will add it after the consultation at your appointment." I said "okay, but I want the toner done at that appointment so schedule it longer if you need to do both". It's not complicated. I've never been to a salon as a new client that can't do this. I've talked to this salon 3x over the last month because I was on the cancellation list. Prior to my appointment, I find out I was never scheduled for a toner like I requested the 3 other occasions on the phone. Of course I canceled my appointment and read the negative reviews with similar problems. I'm sure the stylists are great, but the reception must be trained on transparency and clear communication.
