I know it's a true meat wholesaler and am not faint of…read moreheart as my dad had restaurants and as a kid and 30-40 years ago, when it was even less open to the public, I used to go with him to the meat markets in Eastern Market to get meat so walking in a cooler with and seeing the butchering no big deal and I know how messy it can be. I am also no stranger to markets in places like Chinatown in SFO so I have realistic expectations. However I was not too thrilled looking at the cleanliness of the cooler cases or the way the more unusual meats were set out for sale. The interior was cold enough I guess but it could have been cleaner. The meat smelled fresh though and the staff was helpful prices were good. Overall ok but I think I will stick to a few others in Eastern Market for my meats.
