I reached out to Global Document Services regarding a one-time shredding after an office clean out…read more I didn't want to use the major brand that I used last time because the price seemed high and I had to do a lot of the heavy lifting (despite being told that wasn't the case). I was also left with a lot of empty boxes that I had to dispose of. Rachel responded to my inquiry almost immediately and provided a great price and assurance that my job would be handled professionally and with little to no effort on my part. She was also able to book an appointment within just a day or two. The technician arrived exactly on time and was efficient and helpful, providing me with a short description of the procedure and what happens once my documents leave my premises. He loaded up my documents and took any waste with him. There were 30+ boxes and loose material and the whole process took about 20 minutes. Overall I was extremely happy with the process as it couldn't have been easier. I will be sure to call Global Document Services the next time that I need shredding done. Thank You!

He's active duty military overseas and I was with our five month old child, so I needed his help with some aspects of the paperwork. She told me that I don't need my husband to help me and she does everything herself and doesn't rely on a man. Then she refused to help us saying it went against PA's requirements despite the insurance company assuring us and her everything was in order. She began raising her voice at both me and my husband and then also raised her voice with insurance company and hung up on them and threw the phone across the counter, complaining to other people in line that she didn't want to deal with difficult people. The other woman and her were both bad mouthing customers as they left the shop. I highly advise you to use another business, because what should have been fifteen minutes took an hour and we were disrespected and yelled at the whole time. The owners' response to my husband was that was when you get a group of women together there will inevitably be an issue

Now this was a hassle for the financial management company that was providing the shred service to it's clients and had to keep turning the public away. This is where I enter the story. I have a had time finding free shred events in my area that are on days when I am not working. So I was OVERJOYED to see a FREE SHRED EVENT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC NO BAG LIMIT about 40 miles from my home, on my weekend off. So I drove 40 MILES with 3 lawn-n-leaf bags of shred accumulated over the past 3 years. When I arrived I was informed that the event was actually private for clients of the financial institution. I explained I drove 40 MILES from Lancaster PA. They said they were very sorry, but it wasn't their fault, talk to the guy on the shred truck. So I walked over, explained that I drove 40 miles with 3 bags because his company made a mistake, and I wasted time and gas. Ken told me that because I drove so far, only had 3 bags, and they made they mistake, He would take my bags. I drove off 3 shredded bags later very very happy.

The courier left my brand new sofa sitting out in the rain, leaving me very little time to find a way to get a large 100+ lb couch up four flights of stairs. I called around frantically trying to find a hauling service that offered same-day help, but most tried to make it unbearably expensive and complicated. Joe did the opposite -- he was incredibly kind and understanding and let me know that he could come right over. Within half an hour, he had come over and hauled my new sofa safely upstairs, making sure not to scratch the floors or damage anything in the new place, which was a level of care and precision I definitely haven't seen with other heavy lifting professionals. By the time he left, it started pouring heavily. He basically saved my new sofa from becoming a dirty rainwater mildew factory! The big junk companies I had contacted as I was dialing down the list all tried to make this job needlessly complex -- no same-day, $400 minimum, 2-hr minimum, etc. Joe, on the other hand, just asked what needed to be hauled and how he can help. You can tell that he's a really genuine person who sincerely cares about helping people. This was the kind of experience that makes you save the number in your phone because you know you'll be calling this team again and again. Without Joe's help, I would have lost my new sofa to rain damage and had to spend the first week in my new place with nowhere to sit.
