That is an insane price Almost double the market price of other tree farms. Also their hay ride has no hay and also takes far too long to return because they only have one running. Unlike other tree farms, they do no wrap the tree to your car and instead make you do it yourself. Seriously? After $170 I have do do everything myself too? My family had a good time and fun experience but please save your money and time and visit a different tree farm.

My google search led me to a website that listed all of the businesses near me that were selling Christmas trees. Why did I chose Kenny's? Was it because it was the closest? Maybe. Was it because I have a secret admiration for the name Kenny? Probably not, that would be weird. Was it because they had a website? Guilty. In the end, I shouldn't chose any business on the fact that they have a 2-star website. But I did. And I don't regret it. This place had a pretty big selection of Fraser and Douglas trees and at reasonable prices. For $45 I walked away with a 7' tree and a 7' smile. They wrap and load the tree for you and you're on your way. For an additional $25 (there had to be a catch), they'll sell you a tree stand that will hold the tree perfectly straight and sturdy with minimal assembly. After drilling a small hold into the bottom, you simply place the tree on the stand and you're good to go. You're not paying for style you're paying for function. Not like you'll get a lot of reviews for Christmas tree businesses, but I wanted to put in my two cents.

They really brightened our day and have lasted quite a long time. The flowers, berries and leaves gave off the most amazing smell. I really appreciated how they were not your average flowers but very interesting ones. I think they are stunning. They came while I was at work and if they came with a note saying where they were from I never saw it since my husband and daughter had already discarded...had to ask my mom and being that she is out of town she just picked a place off of the web that looked good. I came here on multiple occasions this past week to purchase decorations and several flower…read morearrangements. While they have a nice selection of seasonal decor, the service (from a particular employee) was very rude. I had previously requested a particular arrangement but when I came in to pick up the arrangement it was completely different than what had been specified. Instead of neutral / white, it was all red roses. The florist I had originally spoken to was not in the store, and the florist that was there instead spoke to me as if it were my fault when I had given specific instructions. She did make a new arrangement which turned out to be quite lovely. Unfortunately, the arrangement died within a few days. We had meant for it to survive through the week (through 2 dinners we were hosting), so had to come back in to get a new arrangement. This being right before Christmas, the pickings were slim, so I chose whatever flowers I could find, and the same florist proceeded to make a bouquet. At some point, the florist stepped away and said I could rearrange one of the flowers. While doing this, one of the other florists - presumably the supervisor (or owner?) - called me out, and told me to step away from the bouquet, that it was a Covid risk (even though everyone was wearing masks), and how it was "unfair" to everyone on the team. Even after I immediately stepped away from my bouquet, she continued to berate me so that everyone in the store could hear. I felt extremely uncomfortable and did not say anything in return. While I was paying, I heard the supervisor complaining at length about me to the florist, and tell her that she had to have a "conversation" with me. Moments later, the florist brings the bouquets to the checkout register and proceeds to give a speech about how in the future I need to let the florists do what they want and that if I want to pick my own flowers then I should just buy the flowers and make the bouquet myself at home. She says all of this (and more) very loudly so that everyone in the store can hear. Presumably, she is saying this so that the supervisor / owner who put her up to this can hear her. After the speech she walks away, and no one offers to help carry the bouquets. On my way out, I could clearly hear the supervisor talking about me to all of the other florists, and going on about how the florist had spent too much time on my order and that she can't be spending much time on individual customer orders. (It seems like they don't think much about someone spending $500 at their store in a week....) (Also, maybe wait a few minutes until after the customer is gone before trash talking them?) The whole experience came off as mean-spirited and not the type of customer service one would expect from a nice boutique. While I want to write this off as someone having a bad day, the fact that the supervisor was the one inciting all the negative comments makes me thing the service issue is more pervasive. Edit: Upon reviewing the receipt, it looks like they included a $35 "open design" fee. While I would have had no issue with this charge (especially if told upfront), I'm really baffled that the supervisor would complain that the florist spent too much time on my arrangement if they are charging for the time anyway! And it's not like the whole thing took more than 10 minutes of the florist's time.

Price beat others closer to me even with delivery fee, so it was a worthwhile value.  They are also very nice people with whom to do business. The huge truck was able to easily access our yard to dump the mountain of topsoil!   Note, there is a 3% fee for credit card payments.  They don't take Venmo but do take cash or check. Our ~$600 order was worth paying by check, which we gave the driver, easy peasy. ********** Prior review is totally fake, going on about details that have nothing to do with any possible real experience with this business. It was done with a fake account (as Yelp troll employees have MANY) and I reported it as such, but since Yelp wants their trolls to use fake accounts to make fake reviews WITH NO PHOTO PROOF OF ANY ACTUAL EXPERIENCE, Yelp can continue to lose to Google and have no traffic anymore here. Creepy positive reviews are as much a concern for this business as negative ones because of Yelp's history using their troll reviews to extort from businesses. The tractor dude gently poured 2 yards into my bed. Very professional all around. Getting home was an issue because my truck was dragging but I think that was happening before the mulch pickup. This year I thought, maybe there's a service that will deliver a tree for you? Googled it and found Mike's company. I think it can look a bit pricey when compared to picking out your own tree, but the price is warranted as they are delivering and setting up the tree for you - and it's obvious that they groom the tree prior to delivery for a perfect shape. They also cut the stump right in front of your home so it is as fresh as can be. Mike was so friendly and helpful, carrying it up the stairs for us and giving us tips on watering it for prime freshness. The tree (pictured) is absolutely perfect (delivered on 30-NOV and still looks great) and I will definitely be using them again next year!

That being said, I googled places in Philadelphia that sold trees and came upon The Christmas Tree Stand as an option. It was 1 of 3 options listed without having to drive around searching or driving too far. The space where they are on Front street is a small space compared to other tree selling places I've been to in the past. However, they had a nice selection. My only concern was that their prices were considerably high compared to what I am used to. I have never paid $150 plus tax for an 8' tree. And I have been buying them for years to compliment our tall ceilings. I asked about delivery and that was an addl $199. Wow! So I took my tree with me. As I was too lazy to drive to another part of town 30 minutes away to see if they had just as good or better trees for a lesser price, I went ahead and purchased a tree. She is really beautiful, but overly priced for what I am used to from other places that are just as good. There was only one person working and he was really kind and helpful. So, they do have good customer service. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning there next year unless I can't find what I want elsewhere.
