Purchased 4 All Beef Chili dogs tonight. Not sure they were all beef, but 3 of the 4 were burnt. Completely black all the way around. The fourth one had more chili in the box than on the hot dog. The person on the drive thru window could not count the change back, and after 3 attempts to get the change, I gave up. Two of them together could not figure the change and I was shorted eight cents. It's not the eight cents as much as the inability to manage change. When you consider the cost of labor these days the employees should be able to do the bear minimum. It really doesn't matter as we are through with Der Weinerschnitzel. read more

While visiting this location on January 20th, I was trying to enjoy my meal when a man entered the restaurant and began speaking to the employees in a very loud and condescending manner regarding the number of hot dogs on the rack. His tone was aggressive, frustrating, and completely unprofessional. This interaction made me very uncomfortable as a customer, to the point where I could no longer enjoy my food and decided to leave. After the incident, I asked the employees who the individual was and was told he was the owner of the store. I normally do not leave reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. There is a time and place to address employee concerns, and doing so in a demeaning manner, in front of customers who are eating, is not appropriate. Watching an owner speak to staff that way reflects poorly on the business and creates an unpleasant environment for everyone. read more

This place deserves NO STARS! It looked like most people who go there use the drive thru!! Wish I could have told them what goes on inside!!!! We had just left a soccer game and we're starving from having to travel so far. When we got to this fast food location we used the restrooms and then went to order. Get this!!! There were 2 young girls manning the drive thru, 1 young man working the front and 2 older ladies fixing food!! One older lady went in the back for a moment, and when she cam back she was carrying about 10 Raw hamburgers in her BARE HANDS!!!! DISGUSTING! Wienerschnitzel is good for a quick hotdog pick up. They are hotdogs are good. I prefer the chili dog. when I want a hot dog and a cool drink Wienerschnitzel is a convenient place to go. However, one time few years back they had a new manager that wanted to charge me $.10 to add onions to my chili dog that really upset me not that I couldn't afford the $.10 it was just the idea of it. When I was handed the shake I requested the cup for my drink that I was expecting with the meal. I was advised I was given the shake in place of the drink with the meal. I advised no, that's not what I ordered. I paid $11.41. When I advised I wanted the drink and the shake wasn't for the meal they argued with me. I wanted the drink and had to pay an additional $2.27 for the drink. I was disappointed as I knew how I placed my order and Found their attitude when I brought it to their attention very off putting. This is the American chili dog establishment. You can get a meal for under $9 I got the classic 2 chili dogs fries and drink. It cost $8.58 and I had my order before I could fill my drink cup. They had all the Pepsi products, ice tea and water. The menu has grown over the years. The feature real fruit added ice teas, polish sausage, chili fries and the new 100% angus beef dog that is 83 percent larger than the classic dog. They also offer soft serve ice cream for dessert in a few different options. I give 4 stars for not having wi-if it is 2019 not hard to offer customers that to have us stay and maybe get a chili-dog to go. I have many fond memories of the Wienerschnitzel experience. 3 chili and one corn dog when I was younger and had a higher metabolism. The flavors are just what I rememeber and they hand grilled with steamed buns. read more

Honestly laborers like that should really appreciate all patrons bc we help them keep their jobs. Have common sense and practice good customer service. So what if we are asking questions or need it prepared a certain way. Maybe we have allergies or maybe we just want to actually enjoy what we paid for. It's not hard to smile and just do your job. Pretty soon, AI will replace all these jobs so appreciate every day you still have a job. I am usually very against AI taking away Frontline jobs but when this happens, it starts to make sense. For National Hotdog Day I received an email for a special on Chili dogs which happens to be a favorite of mine at Wienerschnitzel for over half a Century and decided to go. I ordered four chili dogs with onions (my comfort food) and they were the best I've had in ages, and to celebrate they only cost $4! The staff was very polite and the wait was about right. What I was most impressed by was the chili dogs were freshly prepared and wrapped neatly, I didn't feel like they had been sitting under a heat lamp waiting for me. It's normally not a day that I celebrate but I'm glad I got the email! Based on this experience, chances are I'll celebrate more often. Great job team! read more

He said just call and tell me will make it right with you, so I just called at least 12 times and mail box is full and no one will answer so what do I do now? Ok I don't usually give reviews but this is in hopes the owner sees this a few months back I went here used my card to pay it was the only transaction I did that day with this card that day guy took a little longer than normal to run the transaction he was a heavyset white guy the next day fraud was committed on my card for homedepot transaction I did not do hassle yea but it was fixed being doing cash at this place since and today my transaction came to 29 and change gave the lady 40 and she gave me back just the coin change when confronted she argued I gave her only 30 instead of 40.... clearly her or the owner are in need of the extra cash and im not going to fight in front of my kids which this rude thief so I hope the owner sees this and either hires trust worthy people or give them a proper raise so they don't feel the need to steal. read more

This place is a great location. The staff is very friendly and they always get my order right. The restaurant isn't large inside, but the line in the drive thru is never really long and it doesn't take very long to get in and out of here. It's located right off of the 15 fwy and it's usually open until midnight so it's really convenient for travelers going to and from the San Diego area.
