Our only break is when it rains. So, on this one Tuesday afternoon, a renegade rain cloud put a stop to our productive activities, and being it was only 4pm, I decided to visit the local Harley Davidson Dealership in Kewanee. This Dealership has been in business for over 75 years. They're nice hometown folks and their history goes back to the legendary days of Evel Knievel (for those of you old enough to remember) who had actual ties with Roger Reiman. Roger was the son of Hank Reiman (who was a National Champion Hill Climber riding a Harley Hummer & Knucklehead). Hank opened his HD store in 1947. Roger became a professional motorcycle racer and in 1965 won the Daytona 200, after winning the overall national motorcycle racing crown in 1964. Roger met Knievel after showing up to some of Knieval's jumps - at Knieval's invitation as he was wanting some name riders to appear for promotion. They became friends and Roger, known also for his excellent mechanical ability, soon became Knieval's mechanic- rebuilding the engines on Knieval's jump bikes. In the 70's it was not uncommon to see Knieval's double rig (which housed 3 jump bikes and a Ferrari) parked in front of Reiman's dealership. A pretty fascinating history! So I arrived at 4:30 and had plenty of time to look around before they closed at 5. The store has a small display room by today's standards but there were a lot of motorcycles on display. One of the employees greeted me and asked if I needed help finding anything. I replied I was just looking so he said he would be over in an office in case I needed him. All employees I met were friendly and courteous. They had a nice variety of bikes - new and used. They also had a separate attached building where they performed their service work. They had an area for H.D. clothing and merchandise. I found a nice shirt on the clearance sale rack that I purchased. (Some people collect shot glasses while visiting new places, I collect H.D. shirts, ha!) I saw a couple of used Road King's that looked clean and seemed pretty fairly priced. I remarked to the employee checking me out how impressed I was with their used inventory. She said there were more bikes in the other building that they were going to be bringing out to the display room any day now. Great employees, great service, and a nice assortment of bikes and merchandise, I'm going with 5 Stars. They're also veteran friendly. Check them out!

And he also lost his brother, that kind of explains this problem. We'll take care of it that kept my bikes for Uber 3 weeks and said they fixed it to get me out the door and now I'm stuck with a bike that has scratches and the Chrome covers Uber my gas tank, they got them out and also they decided to be a******* and put little X marks in the ding in my tank. Then when I talk to the owner that owns the Peoria store, which is the father of the son that owns Kewanee, they are both still trying to get me out of their hair, which is b*******, so please don't ever use this store, they'll get you one way or another. And then say, well, we've been working on bikes for over 50 years, and we've never had this problem. Well, we've had this problem in your 2025 year Bud, sorry to break the news to you.

I saw they had a couple options that i liked, qSo i went right in, and began walking around looking at all the bikes. 1 specifically caught my eye , the Ninja 400. I thought on their website there was one with ABS, which would be good for me since I'm a beginner rider. Nobody greeted me nor cared to ask if i needed help. Idk if they were busy or they're just so used to ppl going in there and not buying anything. But i finally flagged down someone and asked if i can test ride this N400. After a few minutes , Amanda, a sales girl came up and got me set up to go ahead and test ride the bike . But before getting on out there they required the rider to sign a form which states if theres any damage during the test ride i will be responsible and also if I injured myself i wont sue them. Which was understandable. After a half hour or so, they finally let me test ride the bike . I got my helmet provided for me by the dealership, and then i got on and began riding. It was a very cool bike. It felt awesome. The clutch was smooth, the shifting was smooth, and i fell in love with this bike. So Amanda asked me if i wanted to begin the purchase process. I told her sure lets go ahead and do that! I think i sat there doing paperwork and stuff to get a loan (i could of paid cash but i want to build some credit) so it took a longgggggg time. I still didn't hear anything so it wasn't their fault at this point none of the banks were replying quick enough. So i left and they said they will call me the next day to let me know if i got approved and i can come pick up my bike. I went on a Saturday I didn't get my bike until Tuesday. Because promises after promises, they were too busy to have the purchasing manager come to check me out and to deliver my bike for me. I got so peeved i told them i am not going to buy the bike any more and I've changed my mind. After saying that, they immediately worked some magic and 5 mins later i got my bike paperwork done. After i bought the bike, i came back 2 days later to ask about the mirrors and if i can lower my bike. They said they would call me back. They never called me back. A month later, i called to get an appointment to change my oil, they told me they're all booked up til end of August . But they did say i can try and walk in on Saturday's becuz they have a rule (first come first serve) which is fine, whatever. But the problem is... how long is the wait. And why is it all over the place? My sales girl was nice and friendly. But the service i felt was lacking. And especially the service in the back, theyre "too busy" to get back to ya i guess? I had a horrible buying experience . Idk if i ever wana go back here for anything.

They have a 1.9 star rating for a reason. After a month of sending back parts that didn't fit I…read moreSTILL haven't gotten my refund. This place is an absolute joke to deal with. They owe me $300
