My mother-in-law who is 55 years old tried canceling her service because dish does not offer what she needed in her area and they down right would NOT LET HER! Joseph I.d. # 8DH which I don't believe for a second is his ID number harassed my mother-in-law to the point of her face turning red and ready to cry. The man would not stop repeating himself constantly to her after she told him repeatedly that she wanted to cancel service and if he could just move on from it but he could not. He kept saying one thing "you are missing out on hundreds of thousands of dollars" I would like to know where the hundreds of thousands of dollars came from. Even after she said she doesn't care I just want to cancel he still would not let her and kept repeating himself and not allowing her to talk, he belittled her to the point where she could not take it anymore and gave the phone to me. He then tried pulling the same stuff with me I had to literally scream at the top of my lungs 25 times or more "cancel my service!!!" I literally yelled at the top of my lungs at this man and he still kept saying the same thing over and over and over again not allowing me to say cancel my service he kept talking through me yelling cancel my service. I even ended up swearing at him because my patients couldn't take it anymore and as soon as my adrenaline started kicking in I screamed at him till I was blue in the face. This man continued to repeat himself, mind you this was the fourth time trying to call this company to cancel and they kept hanging up on my mother-in-law so just hanging up the phone and dialing them again for them to just hang up on us. I will make sure everybody knows about this service that we endured today. I will in the future no matter what do business with this company. They took advantage of my mother-in-law and tried doing it to me. Even after it took 35 minutes to get a manager on the phone the manager didn't seem to care that this was just their practice.... this is so mind blowing and I can't even put into words how horrible this conversation was but I do have a few witnesses that will now be canceling their services too!     Gave up DISH and went back to Charter. Beside the service interruptions caused by even a mild rain…read moreor snow that we experienced with DISH, the DVR/remote was really frustrating. Very difficult to operate, hard to fast forward, stop, rewind. Constantly pointing and clicking, might work on the third try. Charter DVR/remote works like a breeze-and the only service interruption occurs when some drunk driver slams into a cable terminal, which is pretty rare.

Despicable treatment by a group of totally untrained, uneducated, incompetent L I A R S First call 10/17 - This is where I lost 51 minutes of my life trying to explain an issue to their incoherent representatives. First Eileen who was totally useless. Then her 'supervisor', Jasmine who guaranteed me I would receive an email from someone on their tech team within 72 hours, Ticket #1-236907879796R2. It sounded far-fetched, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. 10/24 - As anticipated, no response. Called again and spoke with Sierra who again, was of no use. I asked to AGAIN speak with a supervisor. After waiting for 1 hour 27 minutes (stupid me) with her coming back on the line every so often to assure me that the supervisor was coming, she disconnected the call. I guess that was her way of letting me know that a supervisor wouldn't be coming after all. Right back at you AT&T/DirectTV. Tomorrow, it's my turn and I will be one to hit the disconnect button and terminate your services.

    POS company. I canceled my service and returned my equipment and have been sent to THREE separate…read morecollection agencies because they claim I never sent the equipment back. I have a receipt from UPS that I have already had to use for a collections dispute a couple of months ago which was RESOLVED. and then they just go and send it to a whole new agency I have never heard of. This store WILL mess up your credit score and continuously send you to collections, regardless of your equipment being FULLY returned. This company is a joke, a scam, and fully worthless. The area we live does not give me an alternative option for the internet service. All these years, Spectrum only interested in hooking the new customers with the so called 'promotion' price, then jack up the price a year or so later. Every year or two, if I did not want to add more services from them, I had to cancel my internet service for a period of time, then sign up again in order to get the new customer's price / or a 'promotion' price even they always advertise widely that 'You' do not need a contract. Their Customer Service was always worthless and very rude. My most recent experience with them was that I signed up with a two year 'locked in' price in Feb. 2024. This Jan, they raised the price, and added $5 to my monthly bill. I thought it was $5, to save my headache, I did not argue and paid for it. then in Feb. they added another $15 more to the monthly bill again. I tried to talk their customer service agent to get an answer as to when my contract /promotion period expires, and when the price should be changed, why I have two increases in two consecutive months. She first told me that my promotion price expired on 1/15/2026, then she said it was in Feb, she never provided me with a straight answer as to why I have two increases in two months. All her interests were to get me paid for the extra $20 and a total of &$70/ month bill. Since I was not willing to make a payment right away, she only wanted to get off the phone with me.... Well, we only wanted to keep Spectrum internet for our smart devices controls. After my last night experience with them, we have decided that with a GREAT PLEASURE, we are cancelling their service, and say "Bye- Bye" to them forever!!! No one needs their BS, and if you can, never give them a penny. They are systematically structured to SPAM their customers.
