Park playground I found completely by accident which is concealed in one of Anchorage's perplexing winding neighborhoods off Dowling and Lake Otis that is meant to keep speeders slow (and First Responders completely lost). This park has no parking lot- you would have no reason to visit it unless you live in this middle class neighborhood. It is a traditional park with 4 picnic tables and grills, swings and a small playset. I find this a questionable choice for a playground since there is a steep drop-off to the swift Campbell creek on the southside of the park- turn your back on your toddler and their gone downstream. Bring a leash.
For older kids, on the other side of the park, there is a shallow area that is idea for wading, but the water is swift, so supervision is definitely recommended. read more
