I wrote a review back in September that was very negative as it took them three attempts to get my…read moresmall porch and step right....meaning each time it had to be jack hammered, removed and concrete repoured. The first time the measure, ents were off by two inches on the porch and close to that on the step. It was lopsided. . The second time, it was allowed to dry too long and couldn't be brush coated. The third time appeared right so I removed the review as they were very nice...just an abundance of mistakes. I'm putting the review back up because parts of the porch and stair were chipping away and when I called and emailed, I got no response. I finally just had to patch the area and of course, it doesn't match. I would not recommend this company. It should not take three tries for a small porch 3 1/2 x 4....entry way to house. And the work is supposedly guaranteed but they won't get back to me.

He didn't answer and he didn't show up the next day. He wanted money upfront. I gave him $400 for materials. When he didn't arrive the following day. I called up that day to say I only wanted the bathroom floor fixed; no response; my message went to voice mail When he did show up the day after he demanded an additional $400 for materials. I said no; not unreasonable since he had done nothing on the project. Especially on the bathroom floor that was all that I asked to repair. Today, when he arrived, I told him all I wanted done was my bathroom floor which remained untouched. He threaten me say he'd ruin my reputation as someone who did not pay for work done. I did pay $400, but the bathroom floor still needs to be replaced. Never hire this guy or any repairman the requires money before work is started.

UPDATE to 11/2023 Application of Shotcrete to Basement: Overall customer service and the process…read moreleading up to the actual job done were excellent. Straight Line kept me well-informed with frequent communication. The site crew was on-time, and very respectful of our property, including being cognizant of our new concrete driveway (ensuring the heavy concrete truck was always parked on the street to prevent damage to the driveway -- much appreciated!). Once the crew was on-site, however, I learned that this was not the regular Shotcrete crew chief (he was helping the regular person since he was so busy) and at least one of the crew had never done it and appeared uncertain about his job. When I inspected the completed job with Emory, the crew chief, I observed that the application still had multiple, deep gouges all along the surface and the sides were extremely rough. I asked him to at least level the top ("might be too late since it dries fast"). He did so but it was not smooth and many gouges remained. Now, after several weeks, I'm noticing that the gouges have pebbles that easily pull away. Although I didn't really know what to expect with the final product, I would have wanted all surfaces to be completely leveled so they were smooth. Doesn't seem like that would have been difficult. As I said before, the process leading up to the job was exceptional and every employee was pleasant and respectful but I am slightly disappointed in the quality of the final result. I believe it will hold up over time but it isn't as well done as I had expected.

After charging us for a 50% deposit and an additional $2500 fee for supplies, work was delayed until June. We had to reach out several times to get the work scheduled. After several emails to them, they agreed to a refund (though they wanted to be compensated for their time). They have not sent and are now avoiding us and non-responsive to calls, emails or texts. We have no choice now but to report them to the police for theft.
