Very good communication about product availability and when the carpet that was very affordable arrived at the warehouse. I enjoyed shopping local with an experienced sales person, and not dealing with a big box store. The carpet selection was discussed with her and she helped in the decision. The high traffic area needed a certain type of carpet composition and didn't need to be 88 oz weighted carpet like in the rest of the house. Large selection of premium carpet and pad samples in the show room at economy to various diamond premium price points. Bought carpet during a holiday sale before the end of the year. Scheduling of install was easy and worked around our limited availability. The sale person even had the installers scheduled to move a upright 44 inch Baldwin piano and furniture into the garage. I felt appreciated for the purchase by installers and the main installer did an excellent job with the skim coat to smooth out a dip in the expansion seams and the other veteran installer fixed two creaky stairs. Very friendly and I would hire that team again. The team was quick but took the time to clean by the truck and all of the carpet strains near cuts off the floor and baseboards. Attention to detail and pride in finished product shows. I didn't have to clean up in the driveway or street , when install team left. Experienced staff and service. Will use this OBriens carpet one flooring on academy rd in colorado springs again. Thank you. I recommend this location to anyone looking for an excellent experience and careful handling of process from selection of flooring to final install and clean up. Yes, simply sitting on a piece of furniture. The owner not only screamed at us to leave but shoved a candle in my sister's face yelling at her to get off the couch. Not once asking us politely. They even went so far as to call security. Falsely accusing us of misconduct, stating that we were throwing candles and damaging the merchandise. None of this was true. There was no signage indicating that sitting on the furniture was prohibited, and it appears that this unjust treatment was influenced by discriminatory attitudes. My sisters and I are of a Hispanic background and while we were getting yelled at by the owner and employee, our white friend was excluded. Coincidence? As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect. The behavior displayed by the owner and employee was unacceptable and completely uncalled for. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. No business owner should lie to security, get physical with their customers, or yell at customers when they are not causing any harm. This business needs to learn how to treat all customers kindly regardless of their background/race. I also strongly suggest this business prints out some "DO NOT SIT" signs and place them on their couches.

I bought a pyrite side table on sale for $329 originally $799 which I thought was a good deal. Then teak white driftwood for the wall on sale from $329 with an extra 50% off the lowest price. I also bought a lumbar pillow with insert for 129 not on sale but worth the price. Overall my shopping experience was a great one and I was glad I came in and got a deal on many items I bought. And the service from the gentleman that was helping me was amazing. He told me about the sales they had in the store snd answered my many questions and even helped me load the very heavy items into my truck which he did not have to do. I really appreciate the level of service he provided and will definitely be going back to him specifically for help in the future. The reason I deducted a star is when I gave the man the 100.00 he just put it in his pocket and I thought does this charity have any sort of accounting/bookkeeping for what comes in/goes out and where the money goes? I don't begrudge the guys if they do take some for their work and time but him just putting it in his pocket made me somewhat question the operation. It was a neat place to look around, lots of different kinds of items and my experience was overall good and pleased with my purchase.
