After a short time there it became obvious that I was working for a alcoholic. His breath smelled of Fireball Cinnamon whiskey every day after a certain hour. Not long after figuring that out I figured out that my promised wages were never actually going to get to me! After my second week I asked him for a paycheck multiple times and NEVER got ONE check for my labors. I stayed for over a Month before I just bailed. While I was there I also had the chance to see him "in-action". What a goofball. He screwed up 2 separate orders AND overcharged a local neighbor for some left-over scrap. ( WAY over-charged !! ) If you want REAL metalwork or fabrication, or even just a decent price on some materials -- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE..! GO ANYWHERE ELSE..! This guy and his "shop" have earned the title of Worst of Sonoma County among me and my family & freinds. Run and never come back. -Sage.the.Maige

The 1" bolt had crystalized at the stress point. It was broken off and welded tight through corrosion so that an easy-out would never get the bolt out. I took it to the welding shop and Scott fixed the blade by welding on a new bolt. I've used the blade roughly for 10 hours now and the assembly holds just fine! The cost was most reasonable. I had thought the business might not take my job as it was a small request. I looked around the yard and saw a lot of commercial work they did. One item in the office was a large sifter basket all of stainless steel. It was something someone had made up to scoop the sludge off the top of the wine vats. (I'm sure the wine people call it something else - I was schooled in environmental engineering - we called it sludge.)

We were charged and they didn't even do the job! On top of that, they told him the tractor was ready for pickup, so he made the trip out there, only to be told once he arrived that it actually wasn't ready. That's a complete waste of time and shows a lack of communication and organization. Mechanics are inexperienced, and management is not properly overseeing the work or the customer experience. I'd be cautious about trusting them with your equipment!

Job done way above-'n-beyond: couldn't of been more pleased and blown away!! Gorgeous workmanship--as in, sheer skill plus pride/talent to his trade I've otherwise experienced as extinct in this razzle-dazzle day and age! My fireplace rack was not merely replicated, but one-upped in that Mr. Shoemaker made it of thick-ass 1/8th gauge, plus, (instead of mere mufflers or exhaust pipes as-was the old, chintzy piece of crap), it appears he made the new one out of gleaming, heavy duty, stainless steel! It's sturdy as a rock plus now resides, like hand and glove, within fireplace belly of my most beloved home. It's safe to assume it'll last years to come--certainly 'til long after I'm dead and gone. PS: Price was beyond reasonable, tidy shop filled with neat pictures of past work, plus, job done swiftly and efficiently (though I was in no hurry). Big thank you to Shoemaker Structural! I hereby recommend to any/all and will bring future work to this remarkable establishment and true, old school craftsman.

All the welds are professionally done and everything is straight and level. Because of where the mount was put, the look of it wasn't important but I am impressed nevertheless. He was also the only one that continued to maintain communication with me when I was seeking quotes. The three other locals I sent emails/photos to seem to loose interest in responding to questions. Cesar wasn't the cheapest quote either, but you get what you pay for.

I come here because I always experience amazing customer/shop service (Jeff the mechanic is the…read moreman!) and Jeremy is one of the best salesmen I've met in the industry. His knowledge and personability are rare traits these days, and it's hard to find folks that will go the extra mile who genuinely care about getting you the right tools. We bought a wood splitter this weekend. We are really grateful that the owner held it for us all week! We have been excited to pick this up and we are stoked to keep supporting a local shop that sells quality equipment. There were two gentlemen working when we made the purchase, Jeremy and some other guy named James who I had never met before. They were a bit busy and we weren't in a rush, so we waited for things to simmer down after Jeremy rang us up so we could get a run-through of the equipment and load it up. Really no big deal to wait - I worked retail for years I know it can be hectic - but Mr. Jimbo didnt seem at all interested in actually helping when he could have sped things along. He literally just acted like we were "in the way" or we were some sort inconvenience. I came back in to ask a question about a pin for the hitch mount (Genuine safety inquiry, so a legit concern.) Dude just stood behind the counter sneering at us and snapped at Jeremy to, "Make it quick...." Um, we just spent nearly 3k on a machine, can you at least act like you work here or give a hoot about the customers? He apparently gave us dirty looks the entire time we were there, my husband pointed this out as we were leaving, so I'm not the only one who took note of his insolence. I will remain a loyal customer, but hopefully I can consult with everyone else who works there. Maybe James would be better off working at the DMV...Insufferable people seem to fit in well there.

He has also had to since go and purchase another machine due to the fact that we do landscaping part time and needed this for work. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable. It has been 2 and a half months and it still isn't done. I don't know what the issue is over there but we should be discounted on the price or compensated in some way. When my husband said something to the manager regarding the machine not being done in a timely fashion the manager was like well that's the price we quoted you. Yes it was but we were also told it would be 4 weeks not 10+ weeks. We definitely won't be doing business with this store again.
