I am always greeted warmly by the volunteers, and strike up genuine conversations each trip. The shelves are abundant but still well-organized, offering everything from home decor to utilities to crafting supplies. Prices are fair and affordable, which is so refreshing amidst the overcharging of big corporations. I appreciate this especially as a college student on a budget. And every purchase I make goes toward the most precious animals! I visit them frequently, too. :) I'm so excited for the opportunities that their relocation and expansion will bring; I can't wait to swing by the animal corner at the front once it's been developed!

The parts alone are now worth double the frame but unfortunately I only have random period appropriate hardware cobbled together from used hardware places in Portland. I learned so much and was mesmerized by the birds. The Chimintini Wildlife Center is doing amazing work for all sorts of species of wild animals in the area, and by booking a tour you're not only signing up for an awesome experience and expanding your knowledge of these critical birds, but you're supporting the center's work caring for these birds and many more species that may come into the center. All the birds taken care of here are injured or otherwise wouldn't be able to survive in the wild, so the center uses them for educational tours.
