We took 2 puppy classes with her and have also engaged her to come to our home for some private classes. She is helping us work through some oddities with our puppy, like figuring out how to get our dog to get in the car... something she isn't keen to do. Or figuring out why she becomes scared when you sit something on top of her crate, like a shoe! Anne is amazing at putting herself into a dog's mind and understanding what they may be thinking. Anne's all about positive puppy training, which jives with our values. She is really incredible at how she has such firm control over our puppy in such a short period. She is literally the dog whisperer. She whispers to our puppy, who stops everything to listen to what she's saying. I've never seen anything like it! Anne's classes and home visits are both fairly affordable, but it's important to practice at home the things she teaches you. She packs a tremendous amount of information into her lessons, so pay close attention and take notes! If you can consistently do what Anne says, you will wind up with a well-behaved dog who is a good citizen that people will want to hang out with. He's a little guy, so he tends to go downhill quickly if he doesn't get treatment quickly. The vet I typically use said they couldn't see him until 3 days later, even after explaining his symptoms. I didn't want to make my pup suffer that long and I was really concerned because it was getting progressively worse rather quickly. I called local vets. Some weren't taking new patients, some didn't have any openings, some weren't friendly or informative over the phone when I called. I called Lompoc Veterinary Clinic, they could not see him HOWEVER, Lori couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. She was so patient and gave me a long list of other local vets & numbers to try. I was very appreciative of her extra efforts and her caring manner. Not long after my conversation with her she called me back telling me she forgot one other option. She totally went the extra mile and my pet isn't even a patient at this clinic. I'm so grateful to Lori because that phone call made all the difference. I called that last option she gave me and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's VERY rare these days where a business does what they're getting paid to do, even more rare when they're going above and beyond without getting paid for it! I SO appreciate Lori's kindness, thoughtfulness, and her going the extra mile. This is exactly the type of service I would love for my fur baby to receive. Some months ago, I needed a last minute boarding option for our dog. I called this clinic and they…read moresaid they had room for our 1 year old, unspayed female. I was told that she would be able to run around outside with the other dogs during the day, with nighttimes spent in a run or kennel. Sounds good. We bring her in and I do what I need to do to hand her over. One of the staff members, the older woman with short hair, walks over and gets way closer than necessary. With aggressive body language and tone, she instists on knowing why I won't spay our dog. I say ma'am, I am not looking for an argument. She deflated a bit and backtracked, but really... you got out of your seat to walk over and do this whole song and dance. My ears and vocal chords work just fine. She then tells me that they don't usually let dogs they don't know mingle with the others. This has been our normal vet office. Even so, this was not what I was told over the phone. She spends time with our dog, who is very friendly and behaving toward her the same way she does with everyone, and says that she can be outside. I ask for clarification. She said that our dog will get to be outside, either with the other dogs or by herself and she assured me that she would be out somewhere she could run around. Either way, things sounded ok, but her vibe threw me off. We are gone for a week with no call from the office. I call on the day we are scheduled to pick up, and let them know we will be over shortly. They ask my name and when I say it I get met with panic. The person leaves and returns to the phone more panicked. She says our dog will be ready in a bit. We go to pick her up and the employee I speak with seems nervous. We sit down to wait for our dog and when she comes out, she has to be dragged through the door because she is so scared. The aggressive employee from earlier says something about our dog having memory loss, as she won't go to my 8 year old son on myself, despite our attempts to call her over. Something is obviously wrong. The aggressive employee from earlier has a sick smile on her face. I ask if anything happened. She said aside from anxious diarrhea, nothing out of the ordinary. I see her mouth area is rubbed raw. Does not compute. Did she get to play with the other dogs? She said no, because she kept acting like that --- pointing to her and my son. Our dog started to relax and was was wagging her butt in a play-bow. What did she even mean? So I press more. Did she get to go out at all? Yes, she said. And run around? Yes she said. How big of an area. A dog run she says. How big is that? A good size she says. Dimensions please. She maps out a 4x8 ish area. Really? Well sometimes she got to go into a bigger area. How big? Bigger she says. Wow. How often? Well I don't know I was busy she says. And she becomes more hostile. Basically, I ask for clarification and get the run around and hostility. Weird. And no call about the diarrhea before administering medication? No call at all? As we were leaving she was sure to passive-aggressively thank us and recommend another kennel. What happened to "First, do no harm?"

My dog is always so happy after her appointments too, which really shows me they take such good care of her because she is a very anxious dog. I had taken my dog to a previous local groomer and after switching to 3-C's, we haven't looked back. It was a huge difference between how good her cuts are now compared to then and her behavior after being groomed. They really take their time to make sure their cut is perfect and they always give them a cute bow or bandana that perfects the look. They are also educational and will point you to the right products and tools for your pup. I always recommend them to everyone I know with dogs. You really get what you pay for and it is so worth it! Their pricing and policies are listed all at the front and they do ask you what you would like to be done, so there are no surprises. Every professional grooming place will have additional fees for matting, behavior etc. so that should not be a surprise either. Village Vet has been such a meaningful part of our pets' lives over the years. We first came to…read morethem with our Rottweiler, Roxy, when she was very sick. They had all the equipment needed to run tests and figure out what was going on, and every single person we interacted with was kind, patient, and incredibly understanding. When it came time to say goodbye to Roxy, they made one of the hardest moments of our lives feel as peaceful and supported as possible. Their compassion truly meant everything to us. A few years later, we found ourselves in that position again with our 15-year-old Dodger (our Black Mouth Cur). Even though Dodger wasn't an established patient, they treated him with so much care and kindness, as if they had known him his whole life. That meant more than I can put into words. What I appreciate most about Village Vet is how heard and understood they make you feel. Their approach is realistic, down to earth, and genuinely compassionate. Difficult scheduling experience. Customers cannot book an appointment online; they can only submit…read morea request that must subsequently be approved. There is no straightforward way to speak with someone by phone to resolve scheduling questions in real time. Instead, customers are expected to navigate text exchanges and wait for confirmation. Customers receive messages approximately one week before, another the day before, and another two hours before an appointment. Each need to be responded to, again, or appointed is canceled. While I understand the need to reduce no-shows, this is an excessive and cumbersome communication process from a customer's perspective. A scheduling system should make appointments easier to manage, not create additional administrative work for customers. I visited in July, and then cancelled a September appointment on short notice because of a veterinary appointment. Despite informing the business that the medical appointment had to take priority, the business became frustrated. I understand that businesses have cancellation policies and that last-minute cancellations can be disruptive. However, veterinarian appointments for medical emergencies take priority. Then requiring a 50% deposit for a subsequent appointment, on top of an already complicated booking and confirmation process, makes the experience even less customer-friendly. I recognize that the business considered my October 17 appointment unconfirmed because the deposit had not been paid. The fact that I arrived expecting an appointment illustrates how confusing this process can be. I interacted with was an employee with the owner present and explained the situation. The interaction was unpleasant and unhelpful. Speaking softly does not necessarily equate to providing courteous or effective customer service. Customers can reasonably expect professionalism, understanding, and a genuine effort to resolve a frustrating situation. My heart goes out to small business in a town with many options!

We recently had to put euthanize our fur baby. For a…read moreterribly hard time they were wonderful and made the experience less awful. They have a quiet room that feels like you are in a home. Complete with treats, sofa and nice blanket on the exam table. We have gone through this process previously at other facilities , however this was the most peaceful & calm experience we have ever had. Our fur baby was comfortable and at ease. The staff were all very caring and compassionate. Dr. Snow who had been working with us was wonderful we could not have asked for better care and understanding. They worked with us as we determined the best course of action for our loved fur baby. Lastly they also were great in communicating with us during our furbaby's illness. A dramatic improvement from my previous review. A big shoutout to everyone there we are very thankful for the care you gave our baby.
