I busted my ass to make my 3:30 appt only to still be waiting to be seen at 4:45. I left. I expect…read morethe same respect I give Dr. Whorff. I was on-time, I expect to be seen according to our agreed appt time. I cannot recommend Dr Whorff's practice. Go to Tyler or Mineola. I will say the associates up front are polite and professional, but they do not do eye exams. If you want good service, go someplace else.

Punctuality is important to me; doing what you say you're going to do. When you set an appointment it should be rare not to keep it and only then have reasonable explanation why you can't keep. I showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment and after 1 hour and 10 minutes still hadn't seen the Dr. When I asked about how much longer it would be the staff replied, "Do you have somewhere to be?" I didn't expect to walk right in and see the Dr. the very minute of my appointment. I expected to have to fill out paperwork (which, by the way, asks for lot's of unnecessary personal information). That couldn't have taken more than 7 minutes, maybe. It's very unprofessional and disrespectful of patients to make them wait beyond an appointment time/commitment they made with you, a patient. This is very unfortunate. I expect I would have had a very good exam since Dr. Whorff came highly recommended from someone who has severe eye problems. Now a firm I have no confidence in has all my personal information, laboriously input by staff, and I'm never going to make use of them again. (I would entertain Dr. Whorff's call if he would like to discuss).

Cataract surgery and eye care these are the only people I would trust with my eyes and have them…read moremore than 10 years. The office staff in the Athens location and Tyler location I've been nothing but kind loving and making you feel like you are a person to be taken care of at all times. After I moved I drove more than 100 miles for nine years I have my eyes taken care of by the Athens office, and I'm thankful to have moved to East Texas and can see Christy in the Tyler office. I would not trust my eyes to anywhere else

Do NOT get MONOVISION Lasik without knowing that you LOSE THE ABILITY TO: read a medicine bottle,…read moreread highway signs at any distance, easily read a book in bed, thread a needle, remove a splinter from your own finger, read a cereal box at the grocery store from the center of the aisle, read the computer screen while standing behind someone to assist them, read something on your phone except at arm's-length, use a sewing machine comfortably, make jewelry, read Netflix movie descriptions from your couch. The concept of your brain adjusting to seeing most anything is clearly FALSE and or was not explained appropriately. The surgical procedure was excellent; but when I questioned (afterwards) why I could not do these things I was told that was explained to me beforehand. I was told what monovision WOULD DO, but not what I WOULD NO LONGER BE ABLE TO DO.
