Was psyched until I saw the prices. Ok, these are expensive, they have to be off the hook good for this price! Ok, here's what happened... I paid $9 plus $2 tip for the worst Chicago dog I've ever had! Danny, where was the Poppy seed roll? How about the Sport Peppers? (hint Texas Pete peppers are in every grocery store in America.) These are the two biggest ingredients when it comes to a Chicago Dog! Was there Celery Salt? If so it was drowned under really lousy, really old relish. This shouldn't be on the menu, it's pretty much false advertising.. I basically got a small 40 cent ball park hot dog griddled, with a bunch of cheap Dollar Store condiments piled on. I felt like I was robbed of my money after I tried to eat that mess on a cheap bun. I wouldn't eat again from Danny's even if these small overpriced dogs were buy one get two free :( (On a positive note, I didn't get food poisoning from this roach coach.)

She even gave great recommendations for the bakery next door while we waited for the food. 4 star ambience: the interior is warm and welcoming while still being slick and modern. Outside parking is a breeze, although the neighborhood is still slightly gritty (13th Street corridor in Fort Lauderdale, sort of a much smaller version on Miami's Wynwood). 4 star food: The food was mostly basic standbys prepared very well (burger and fries). The pricing was slightly aggressive.

I had heard about Brunos due to their always popular food truck, so when i saw the brick and mortar…read morei was stoked to give them a shot. Their menu was a little limited as they weren't really serving everything on the menu because a lot of stuff wasn't setup on delivery or setup in the restaurant. I decided to order a few thing to give it all a shot. I ordered the cheeseburger with fries, wings and the chopped pork sandwich. (Griot) The wings were kind of underwhelming. I got them hot and it tasted like crystal. No real flavor just a little heat and salt. Ended up eating a couple and tossed them. The griot sandwich was interesting. It great but not bad, just salty. Not something i would probably order again. The burger, now that was the redeeming quality. This burger was REALLY good. Cooked right, seasoned well, tasted fresh and easily my favorite of the three dishes i ordered. Fries were solid. If i went back to Bruno's, it would probably be after they were 100% setup and running at full capacity. I would definitely get another burger and hopefully a lemonade.

My opinion with lobster rolls from most vendors is that the price is very steep for a sandwich that fits snugly into my palm. Mr. Lobster did not escape my immediate concern for Cost vs Size, although for $26.00 the soft roll was overflowing with lobster chunks impressively topped with avocado wedges (See Pic). The lobster tasted fresh and not overly chewy with a nice garlic kick.

Starting this review is the difficult part. It's been a month since I've been there as of…read more2026-9-25. I believe we were there on 29th August. So I'll say this; This is probably among the top five barbecue places I know of in the entire United States and the world in my travels. This has become the favorite place for barbecue of my South Florida family. The good: Beautiful barbecue, great bark on the brisket and the "Dino rib" also, I thought it was delicious. We also had some pork ribs which didn't go over as well as the other two, but I felt were quite good. The reasonably generous with their sauces, but we ran out of the very spicy version and the Carolina mustard based sauce. I had to whip up a batch of my own when I got home to the northeast as it was a decidedly serious favorite in my secondary family space. The bad; Everything is all a cart. Even the sides. Although they do have some combos, you're not walking away without some pain :-) And, it's Takeaway only. I mean, you can eat in the car, but I don't recommend it at all considering. The ugly: By the time we got done with 2 1/2 pounds of brisket, a Dino rib ($20), a few sides, including their coleslaw and cornbread which were enjoyed immensely, we were roughly $150 into it. It's not something you would do every day. And for four or five people, it will feed them and have a little bit left over, but you're not getting away without leaving some skin behind. Unfortunately, for me in my wallet, I will be back because it's just-that-good. The place opens at 2 PM which gets you the freshest I imagine as they smoke overnight, and they close at 2 AM the next morning. In our case, we missed the chicken because it wasn't ready when we were there in the later evening. You get what you get and we got what we could. It makes sense to order ahead of time that way they can time your order with Wots coming out. Had I known that, I would've done that first thing and known when stuff was available. Appears to be family owned, and operated at least to some extent. Be prepared to have your clothes smelling of barbecue when you leave.

The building with pizzas has a drive-thru feel. You can stay in your car and place your order using a tablet. Then, you drive around to the other side of the building to get your food. New York-style pizza: We got a cheese pizza and it was very good. I'd say one of the top 5 best NY-style pizzas I've had in SOFLO. Hotdogs: We got two NY hot dogs and they were good. I recommend eating these hot dogs right away. By the time we got home, the bread was soggy from all of the condiments. I tried a Pastrami hot dog. I enjoyed it. The bread did not get soggy. The Ruben hot dog was my favorite. It was a pastrami hot dog with sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing. (It was not soggy either by the time we got home). The quality of the hot dogs was wonderful. I would come back here.
