I ordered a firearm from Wholesale Hunter through GunBroker.com. Shortly after placing the order, they informed me the firearm was not compliant with California law. We agreed to cancel, and they confirmed that a refund would be issued. After that, all communication from them stopped completely. My emails and voicemails went unanswered for nearly two weeks. It wasn't until I made it clear that I would be reporting them to GunBroker and the Alabama Attorney General that they finally processed the refund. However, instead of simply resolving the issue professionally, they sent me a retaliatory and threatening email afterward. In that message, they accused me of "breaching their terms" by contacting GunBroker and even threatened to sue me for $1,500 and garnish my wages if I pursued a chargeback or complaint. This kind of intimidation toward customers is unacceptable and unethical. I have filed a formal complaint with the Alabama Attorney General's Office, as well as a report with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), to document this behavior. Wholesale Hunter's conduct shows a disturbing pattern -- ignoring refund requests, failing to communicate, and then lashing out at customers who hold them accountable. I urge anyone considering doing business with them to think twice and review the many other complaints online describing the same experience. read more

Do not order from Wholesale Hunter. I placed an order for an item that they reported having in stock. But when I received my order notification, they said it was on back order. So, I cancelled the order...that was over ten days ago and they still have not refunded my credit card. And one other unacceptable detail of my experience...they have never answered the phone or returned my dozen or more calls...stay away from Wholesale Hunter. read more

The Worst Gunbroker experience in over 15 years and I'm an FFL! Purchased a lower in March, mislead that it was in stock, it was in back order. Immediately cancelled order, 2 months and counting still not refunded. No one answers phone, email responds is a week later that it will be done, ridiculous! Buyers be aware and stay away read more

This place is shady to say the least. Ordered a gun from them, paid for expedited delivery and every time I called to check(after the given delivery date), they were rude and kept giving me the runaround. I went to the store and it was locked up. Went to the office next door and was told the gun was destroyed in a tornado in Pennsylvania. Waited another week and went back to the office and was given another BS excuse. DEMANDED my money back and the second person I talked to refunded my money immediately. read more

Ordered a gun online from them. Total bait and switch. They put up for photo a great looking gun but the gun I got looked nothing like the website photo. Once I picked it up at my FFL they said since I took it home they would not let me return it. They also did not provide the hard case that was listed as included in the listing....stay away read more

DO NOT buy anything from this company! They use the "Bait & Switch" tactic to dupe you. They advertise a picture of one thing and then send you something entirely different. Then, they won't cooperate with you to return for refund. They obviously could care less about Customer Service much less know the meaning of same. read more

I ordered a rifle from their website and paid for express 2 day shipping on a Monday. On Thursday I call to see why it hasn't shipped only to be told it wasn't in stock.I asked for a refund since I had already paid and was told "No Refunds" .....the guy also told me that the rifle had not been in stock for over a year.I told him since it hadn't been in stock why did they show it as "in stock".....he laughed and said "That's how it goes" really cocky. Now 3 months later I still don't have my rifle not a refund.I went to a local very small gun store and had what I wanted overnight. I purchased a shotgun through GunBroker.com and I'm still waiting on the item to ship. The 800 phone number they have is a joke. You are not able to actually speak to anyone and a generic message comes up talking about about " We're currently experiencing some unexpected challenges". What are the challenges? After doing some research, it seems they have a horrible business model. Screw the customers and avoid actually speaking with them to make things right. This company must be a part of the MAGA Trump cult following. Screw over the customers and lie to yourself and say that you're doing an amazing job fulfilling orders and you customer service is paramount. This company sucks dragon balls and if there was anyway possible to give 0 stars that's EXACTLY what they would have received from me. As a current law-enforcement officer I will be using my resources to get my issue resolved. I know exactly what I need to do. This is 1000% UNACCEPTABLE on all levels. With the current economy, people do have money to give away to a shady business who practices unethical business practices. read more

I would think twice before doing business with Wholesalehunter. I ordered a revolver from Wholesalehunter that was advertised on Gun Broker in Mid January of 2025. On 1-31-25, I cancelled the order after I was informed the revolver was not available and on back order. Wholesalehunter had already charged my credit card. Wholesalehunter staff informed me that it would take 15-30 working days to process the refund / credit to my credit card. I have spoken with multiple Wholesalehunter staff on multiple occasions via telephone and sent several e-mails to their supervisory staff with no response. As of 3-20-25, my credit card has not been refunded / credited. I have involved my credit card company. I feel the actions / nonactions of Wholesalehunter are negligent and totally unacceptable. read more

These guys are great. I ordered 12 gauge ammunition from this seller because they have the type I want and the stores around me do not. I'm writing in hopes others might learn from it. I ordered a lot of ammo, and it was a complete bait & switch thing. As a consumer, you find what you want online, then buy it. If i wanted a 'Mystery Box', I'd not have searched so hard to find exactly what I wanted. What I wanted was a particular style, jacket and weight. Defense bullets. What I got was some stupid BT match rounds! Wrote my displeasureand was given some awful excuses. Telling me even though they're match rounds, they're just as good as used solely for defense. I wasted just under $500 I this order and got the crap they couldn't sell apparently. NOwhere did I check (or uncheck) a box that said I'd be happy to let this company chose FOR me, what they think is best. Instead of what I chose myself. Crooked company! I still tell all I can of their horrible business practices. I had over 200 rounds of crap I can't use except for target practice now. Do not use! read more

This is an absolute joke of a company. The fact that you won't provide the serial number for a multi thousand dollar firearm is a joke. Don't you realize that serial numbers contain date manufacturer codes gauge codes and finish codes that are required by and buyers. The very fact that you wouldn't even take a picture of the label that contains all of this information on the exterior of the box tells me that something is fishy and not on the up and up with you guys. I have never once bought a gun where they would not provide the serial number! Sounds like fraud to me. Run don't walk from these people. If they won't provide you with an actual serial number how the hell do you know if they even have the gun! What a joke these losers are. "We don't give out serial numbers. Unfortunately this is packaged up in a stocking warehouse. We don't open the manufacturers packaging for any reason due to insurance reasons that could arise from an open package and to guarantee the item is in the same condition that we received it from the manufacturer. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused." Secondly the fact that all of the specifications of the handguns and rifles are on the exterior box in from the manufacture really makes you wonder! Do they actually have the box if they're not willing to send you a picture of all of the specifications of the rifle you're purchasing? Don't forget, they're asking three to $4000 from any of these guns with absolutely no validity or verification of a serial number. What a shit show, total stupidity, poor business acumen, and a bunch of dumbasses. Also, they could not even provide a date code or a date of manufacture. What a stupid motherfucker asked for over $2000 for a gun without even knowing what day it is manufactured. You people have no clue. read more

Rated one star because there is NOTHING lower. I was on Gunbroker, saw a rifle I had been wanting. He worded the ad in a confusing way, all he had for sale was the "gun stock", NOT the complete rifle. After talking to a friend, he pointed out that it wasn't the entire rifle. Either the same day or the very next day I sent an apology and a cancellation request. I got NO, yep, NO reply. About 10 days later I got notice of the "shipping", and the tracking number. He didn't respond to the cancellation request but after I got it I sent another email, and he was Jonny on the spot replying to his "shady" business practices. They claimed rifle would ship in 14 days--more like 30. I suspect they are selling guns they don't actually own (middle men). I bought a Steyr Scout. Ordered an item that ended up being a poor fit and defective. They had listed the item as in stock, but it wasn't. Waited two weeks for the item to be shipped, but it still wasn't shipped. Then a week later, it arrived from another source in another state. When the item was found to be defective and improper fit, they told me to not blame them, and call the manufacturer. But they listed the item, they sold it, they took my money, and refused to help. They have no Customer Service. Only people who will find ways to avoid helping the customer. Never again. I should have checked their reviews on line before dealing with these people. It would have saved me the money, the hassle and the disappointment. read more

Worst Customer Service in the business. Their website misrepresents products and you pay the 10% charge, plus shipping when they send you the product that was wrong on their page. It takes weeks to get the products, & then it takes weeks, multiple e-mails, and restating the same story over & over to different CS Reps who who don't read the e-mails or communicate with each other. I own a small business. I hate having to write a poor review on someone else's, this business has systemic and personnel problems. Inaccurate website, poor return policy, slow response, and they won't willingly follow up their own return process unless you hound them. Then you'll get attitude. They're also shipping products to you from Brownell's....so just buy from Brownell's to start; they stand behind their products, have excellent Customer Support and deliver, unlike Wholesale Hunter. It's really not worth your effort. You might save a dollar at first, but it will cost you far more than it's worth in money and aggravation. If I write 1 of these bad reviews every 5 years, it's a lot, but this business is the worst. read more

Placed a 500 order for ammo and the website calculated the shipping for 12 dollars plus 2 for insurance (which is the same rate I have always paid in the past). A few days later receive an email that their website mis- calculated and it would be 42 dollars shipping and to call if I had questions. I called and asked if they would be willing to work with me and to show my understanding asked if they would split the difference since it was their website's problem. I received a flat out no and I either pay additional 28 or they will cancel the order. The manager said he was willing to lose the 500 sale over 14 dollars. Terrible customer service even when it is their own fault. read more

Made a large order and one of the items was supposed to be 200 rounds of sig saur hollow points (the description and the picture showed hollow points on the website) when the delivery got to me the 200 rounds of hollow points that I ordered were just plain round nose. I contacted them and told them what happened, they denied me and just changed the description of the website instead of making it right. I tried to contact the manager and filled out a request 2 times and have not heard anything back from them for weeks now. In the same order I did order FMJ round nose, several thousand of them actually of a different brand so why would I order 200 of the sig saur which cost a significant amount more. (I wouldn't). Terrible customer service. And for them to change their website because they know I am right really makes me mad read more

I ordered a WWII M1 Garand mat from their site. It was a black and white cleaning mat that I planned on hanging up on display in a museum. What they sent was a full color with a lot of bright red logos, business names and .com stuff spread throughout the entire mat so it was not able to be displayed. I contacted them to get a return shipping label and for a refund and they refused. Their customer rep "Erin" was rude and told me they use stock photos so what a customer gets may not be what was in the listing. I was like WTF, that's stupid. I want what is in the listing that I ordered not what you feel like shipping. They use that stock photo thing as an excuse to never have to accept a return by taking the blame away from them. The item price was fine even though the shipping cost was double inflated but none of that even matters because I didn't get what I ordered and they just refuse to send me a return label. I have since looked at various web sites and they have been doing this Bait & Switch deal to a lot of people. There is a lot of bad reviews and negative feedback for this exact thing. Avoid these people and any place they are selling their fraudulent items scamming folks out of their hard earned money and getting nothing in return, well I guess not nothing, but you sure wont get what you ordered that's for sure. read more

Purchased from LG Enterprises/LG Outdoors via Amazon. These a$$bites are liars and thieves! First they don't tell you they are NOT Prime sellers to we had to PAY TO RETURN a pair of hunting boots - NEARLY $50. Then these liars said we returned used boots - a flat-out lie. They charged a 50% (50%!) restocking fee that amounted to nearly $100 to return ONE pair of boots. Unethical, misrepresentative, lack basic service and basic good faith in transactions between parties. I Ordered an item 8/12, with standard shipping. Allowing 17 days to receive the item as delivery for use was time sensitive. Only after placing my order did I receive an e- mail that item may be delayed in shipping by 14 days, which would not meet my requirements for use. Called to cancel order and was advised there would be a re- stocking fee. I stated that I would not have ordered the item if the 14 day delay in shipment was posted at the time of purchase. I was told that per terms and conditions, either I could cancel and pay the re-stocking fee or wait for the order to ship. The item did not ship until 15 days later, and, just as predicted did not arrive in time. I would rate negative stars if possible. This company is terrible. I ordered something from their E-Bay store. I ended up returning it for a refund. After calling them 4 times, they finally processed my refund. Upon speaking to their snide little customer service dude, I found out that they charge you for shipping (even though it was free shipping) and a 15% restocking fee. I understand the restocking fee, but the shipping charge is totally deceiving. BUYER BEWARE! If you buy something from these clowns that's "free" shipping and you return it, they'll tack on what the cost of what the shipping would have been for a total refund of about half of what you paid for the item.
