I have not shopped or had a membership here in over 20 years! But my roommate could enroll me free…read morewith his membership and I finally had time to drop in. I wandered the whole store and enjoyed myself. I am obsessed with the aesthetic because it's so easy to see everything since it is "bulk". The prices are clear as can be. The store is clean. As someone who shops WAY TOO MUCH, it was easy to price compare. In some instances, I pulled out my phone and searched Walmarts prices. What I found was most items were equal in price to size (just in bulk size here) OR a little cheaper. A few things were significantly but not a lot. For the savings to really add up, I think you would have to be someone who has a really huge tribe to shop for. For me, I do not. My favorite deal were the acai bowls. Those I can definitely save money buying here.. I bought some clothes too (a dress, a scalloped sweater, and flares). All of the bulk drink packages were a nice price. They have clothes for all ages and genders. I would say the price matches the quality in these terms. Remember when shopping here how much space you have in your fridge/freezer - this is the biggest battle in my home because my roommate LOVES their frozen food section lol Aside from a full grocery store and clothing, they also have electronics, baby items... actually let me sum it up by saying they carry a lot of what a super walmart would: only it's bulk size. They have registers and self-checkout. I found staff helpful when needed. I found the customers the best part for me ... I had a few really nice convos and I enjoyed my girl time with these total strangers haha If you don't have bags, they have TONS of boxes for ya from the product to grab after checkout (like Aldi, except they have put it all at the end of checkout for you). You can get a discount on your gas here (I use top tier gas - they don't have it here so I can't use it). There are coupons on the app to save you more. 90 day return policy on clothes.

There's a wonderful gentleman in the optical department named Eric who is awesome! They give customers the opportunity to use their app and you can "clip" coupons to the app so you get the reduced price when you check out without the hassle of cutting out the actual coupons. They have a good selection of frozen food, toiletries, paper products, canned goods, snacks, vitamins and supplements, small appliances, televisions, laundry and cleaning products, clothing, beer, a nice bakery-by no means is this a complete list. I think the store could be better organized. They also sell gasoline and tires. This is a very convenient location on Transit Road.

I even saw Hawaiian Host Strawberries and Creme White Chocolate covered mac nuts. I love seafood. They had cooked lobsters in packages of two for around $35 and huge packages of large head on shrimp for around $20. What a deal. If I was there longer I definitely would have bought those to eat. Sadly, we were leaving that day. Try out the food court is a must for me. They had all the standard: pizza, hot dogs and soft serve ice cream. They did have polish dogs. I wish they would bring that back at home. They also sell chicken strips and fries. I had to try out a Canadian specialty which is the poutine $6.99. It's french fries smothered in brown gravy and cheese curds. It was my first time trying it and I did not like it. The gravy was so salty and made the fries soggy. The cheese curds made the dish so rich. I couldn't even finish half of it. I dumped the rest. Oh well, at least I got to try it. *prices in CAD

Visited to see what kind of snacks I can bring back. In terms of Costco, the similarities and…read morefamiliarities of each store bring about comfort in the whole shopping. That said, the differences based on geographical locations keep things interesting. Although there were plenty of folks walking about, traffic was pretty tamed and so were the lines queuing up to checkout. Speaking with one of the bakery staff members, their recent seasonal item was the Peach Mango Coconut Loaf Cake, which sounded amazing, so I got two. Even the cashier lady was eyeing them and wondered if they were any good. I also purchased a package of Mrs. Dunster's Crescent Shaped Sugar Donuts. After taking these items back home, my family and coworkers had a chance to try the loaf cakes. In my opinion, these loaves were a tad sweeter than I'd like, but the others enjoyed it. The donuts on the other hand were delicate and balanced in its sweetness, so I kinda wished I bought more.

They also have a great specialty items like flowers, fresh sushi made in front of you, in store optometrist, pharmacy and cafe. I love their fruit smoothies and fresh produce. Appreciate the customer service, scan and go as well as curbside pickup. Only downsides- 1. at times is when you don't need items in bulk. 2. If you do curbside you have to be sure to ensure the item is for 'pick up' and not shipping otherwise some of you items will be dropped at your doorstep days later. 3. Noticed that they carry a product (Buldak Ramen in the pink package) that says on the back label it causes cancer and reproductive harm. When I complained to corporate someone did call me right away but then I heard absolutely nothing for the last 3 months. Don't buy that!!!! I look forward to some Costco specific items whenever they break ground, but until then my local Sam's meets most my needs.
