TLDR: Hair cut and color not as discussed, stylist Kate was very dismissive of my concerns and…read morewaived me off to pay and leave. A little over a week ago, I went in for a consultation. I said I wanted the following: -A layered haircut to trim the dead ends (I already had layers but they were very grown out) and bangs that blended into my hair on the sides. -A multidimensional color (multiple colors) similar to my natural color, with COMPLETE grey coverage. Kate looked at my hair and recommended three DISTINCT colors for the three dimensions of color in my hair, one a dirty blonde, one a medium brown, and one a dark brown (all cool toned). We then booked at the front desk for the appointment. I was surprised to learn she had multiple availabilities for a long appointment, which apparently I should have clocked as a red flag then. I asked for confirmation on the appointment duration and she said 3.5 hours - I expressed surprise and emphasized my hair was very thick and it has taken longer in the past, and she said she would "book the haircut separately just in case so we have more time". I arrive the day I booked it a bit early and she seats me immediately. I make some small talk but it's clear she doesn't feel chatty, which was fine. As the hair color proceeds, I notice that she is bleaching some sections but not coloring anything, which I figure is because we're in step one. This step takes 2 hours by itself. She washes it out, and I ask her to walk me through the steps we will be doing next. She simply states "toner and wash" which I figure is the next step only and not the last step. She "tones" my hair all over, washes it out, and then does the cut. I figure she knows better than me and it may look different dry as colors often do, so I wait. My hair was multicolored brown/blonde when I came in, so maybe it will turn into three colors. She dries my hair and cuts the bangs. I repeatedly asked for shorter bangs and for her to fix them because random hair was longer and I couldn't see with it getting in my eyes, and she fussed with the bangs enough to make them "even" and just gave up with them still too long (I asked for at or above my eyebrows, these are basically 1/3 down into my eye). I express the color is all one color (which is none of the colors we discussed) and she shrugged and said "it's demi color; it will wash out and become lighter" (???) I express again this isn't what we discussed and the bangs were too long, and she simply said "I'll meet you at the front I have my next customer" (at this point we are 5 hours in to the "3.5 hour" appointment). Flabbergasted, I simply pay at the front and leave. Outside I get better lighting - and yup; all one color - except THE GREY SHE DID NOT COVER. Honestly very disappointed with the color service and cut, and the dismissive response to me expressing my concerns. I will not be back and recommend no one else make the same mistake I did visiting their "blonding specialist" Kate.

After going to consultations with many surgeons, it was an easy decision to go forth with the surgery after meeting with Dr. Z and his staff. The initial appointment was easy to schedule, and I was very satisfied with everything from the location, affordability, professionalism of his office staff, and his personal evaluation and details of the procedure. I've been seeing Sara M. there for cut and color for several years now. Sara helps me achieve my blonde ambitions without bleaching, and my hair is about a billion times healthier as a result! She does a great job with my cut and layers, too, and does one heck of a blowout. The salon is stylish looking, and the color scheme very relaxing. It has 4 haircutting stations separated by mirrors and sheer curtains, and a nice little side room with two sinks for shampooing with comfy chairs that support your neck. There is also a room for getting one's nails did (as they say). I've only been there to see Sara, but everyone else who works there is perfectly pleasant! I love coming in for my appointments here--great conversation while Miss Sara works on my hair, and I get a nice cup of coffee or tea and a stack of gossipy magazines to thumb through while my color processes. Sara gives lots of care and individual attention to her clients, and I never feel like our appointments are rushed. Highly recommend!
