Then, we were led to the house & given the opportunity to explore! Each room is opulent with painted ceilings, ritzy carpets & very fancy furniture from the late 1800s. The first time they were thinner/ skinnier green beans and really nicely cooked; the second time they were the more normal type of green beans (fatter) but seemed to be cooked the same amount of time because they were very undercooked and too crunchy. The members of wait staff are very nice but seem understaffed- both times they disappeared for long stretches and the meal took 2 hours because they just didn't seem to have time. However, the price tag was completely unreasonable for what was provided. $125 apiece and only included half a glass of champagne. The dining experience, however delicious, was not worth $300, especially to not have individualized meals or service. The tables were not comfortable to hang out at after dinner. I would not recommend the event to anyone at that price. To better reflect the experience, I would put the price at $75 and no more than $100 apiece. $125 would have been slightly more reasonable had it been open bar, but as stated, it was not.
