I like coming here because the paninis are marginally cheaper than the other sandwich shops. I also occasionally treat myself to the brownies here - large gooey, sticky slices of dense dark chocolate heaven. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and like the other coffee shops in this road, this is a stones throw from Hampton Court palace, so a perfect place to recharge your batteries.

Whatever it was, I ended up really enjoying my experience here and will be back if ever passing through again. Aside from the food we had, this establishment also has a very organic looking deli for fruit and veg which has a feel of an authentic farmers market. We didn't purchase anything as I wasn't in the market for vegetables at the time but it is a neat extra feature that will attract customers.

Still feeling a little hungry after that, I bought a ham and tomato baguette, with re-formed ham, but really lots of it. The coffee is OK. The place is not bad, but its not what you'd call exceptional. The patron is polite but can be brusque with his staff who are, in fact, very pleasant and helpful. The plus to this cafe is its location at Hampton. You can eat inside, but also at the pavement which is very pleasant, the area having a quiet and picturesque village-style ambience with a small number of other shops, some upmarket. Despite the reservations, it is worth a visit if you are in the area.

Mosaico opened up about a month ago where it replaced a run down business I never could understand the aim of. It is owned by some lovely people and I felt the warmth as I walked in and had the servers smile at me... Ahh! How refreshing is that to find in London?! I only had a black coffee but it was just the way I liked it. Strong! For a medium sized coffee which lasted through my 1:15hrs journey, it was worth the £2.20p I paid. There is a descent sized seating area and a patio which allows the café to look bigger than it actually is especially during summer as the shades rolls out onto the streets blocking the sun from the set tables and chairs. They not only serve hot and cold beverages but they also serve food and ice cream. Drink, main and desert do you say? I plan on going back to try out more than just a coffee but until then, if you're on the high street and need some real Italian coffee, you know where to go!
