Before enrolling my son in the preschool at St. Theresa School, I talked to other parents who had…read moresent their children to the school. The person who clinched it for me was a neighbor whose daughter had just graduated from 8th grade there and had attended from preschool through 8th grade at the school. The neighbor isn't Catholic, so wasn't biased based on religion. He said that if he were to start all over again, he'd send his daughter there without hesitation. So, I enrolled my son in the preschool there, and was very pleased that they treat each child like a very special person with individual needs, ambitions, and potential. He attended Kindergarten there too. He has since moved on to a school in San Francisco due to the breakup between his mother and me, but I still feel very connected to the school. My new sweetheart sends her daughter to the school, and is very pleased. Other friends ditto that. Things that really set this school apart from others for me are: * A strong sense of community amongst the families whose children attend the school. * A strong sense of connection to the families the school exhibits. * Unbridled dedication to providing the best education, learning environment, and experience for the children even without the big budget of a public school. * The opportunity to interact directly with the faculty, staff, and other families every morning and afternoon on the school grounds when dropping off and picking up my child without having to make some special effort. * If my child was naughty, I'll find out immediately when I pick him up; not after he gets so far out of control that it must be escalated to a phone call home (more likely when I'm at work). Thus, I am empowered to nip undesirable behavior in the bud; not only after it has become habitual. * The values being taught to my child all day every day. * The longer school days (compared to public schools), which means that my child gets more classroom time to get a quality education. * The dedication to serving the entire local community; not just Catholics. 75% of the students are non-Catholics, including Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists, and others. * The school teaches tolerance of all demographics, regardless of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, etc. No demographic is ever belittled. * With almost no extra effort on my part, I am informed of my child's daily experiences in school, how well he is doing, and whether there are any issues to address. * I feel empowered with regard to my child's education.

What an amazing instructor and person Krystal is! She was extremely thoughtful in teaching…read moreeverything she knows about pregnancy and the birth process! I would recommend taking a class with her! Without her teachings I'm not sure I would have been able to give birth naturally, she explained the birth process thoroughly and answered questions with ease, her confidence is incredible! And she made me confident to do it! And if you can grab her as a doula too that would be an added bonus, even though I wasn't able to, she was already booked! Definitely give her a chance to pass along her breadth of knowledge!

In 5 simple words, Krystal is a God-send. I was referred to her by another client of hers, and she…read moresaved my sanity. My 6 day old son had a rough start with breastfeeding, not latching well. Lots of tears were being shed by not only my frustrated son but by me as well. Within minutes of sending her a desperate text, she responded with kindness and concern. She even went out of her way to come do a late evening consultation with me, taking her time, answering any questions I had and working to figure out the issue with my sons latch. Needless to say, last night was the first night since bringing him home from the hospital that we had not one but TWO successful feedings, and have kept the momentum up ever since! Krystal checked in with me today to see how I was doing and to answer any other questions I had. Thank you so much Krystal! Not only did you help calm my nerves and make me feel so much better, you helped my son and I achieve successful nursing. You are the best!
