Great staff and owners who care about the whole child and their development. One of the best places for childcare and preschool.

She's now in kindergarten, but still attends three days a week because she loves it that much--she even begs to go on days she normally doesn't! From the beginning, the staff has been warm, patient, and truly invested in her growth. She's made so many friends, and she's always happy and smiling when we pick her up. The amount she learned in their preschool program blew my mind--and her kindergarten teacher's too! Thanks to Sunshine and Rainbows, she was more than ready for kindergarten and is already ahead of the curve. I'm so grateful we found this place when we were searching for childcare. They had room for her when we needed it, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Highly recommend!

I am writing this anonymously considering I remain in the childcare community…read more I can vouch for the rating below, children are barated, they are held down to their cots during nap (primarily Alyssa), the concerns on safety are met with a smile to the parents and blatantly ignored and excused once parents leave. I have heard several of the staff in all of the rooms but infant bully and verbally abuse the kids. When I was working there staff have been bullied into staying or not allowed to leave or call in sick, even when they came down with RSV. State policy is followed when state is there and only when state is there. Communication with the parents is only permitted in a way that Lorie (director) or Allyssa deem acceptable in order to maintain their reputation. I was constantly out of ratio due to overstaffing from high turnover rate. The pressure and bullying here from the directors and lack of support with the parents, along with the abuse towards the kids (more than just the cot situation) has lead me to not trust care facilities as a whole. I am afraid to send my son to preschool after working here and it supposed to be the "better school" DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE AFTER 18 MONTHS!!!

Since the current owners have taken over my older daughter has come home repeated with unexplained injuries and band aids and the teacher/owners response is no one knows anything about it. My daughter who is three has come home TWICE with burns on her hand with no explanation from the teachers or owners. The event that really made me angry was when I laid my daughter down to change her diaper and there was a bead lodged high up in her nose and again no explanation from anyone. The common answer is "I don't know how that could have happened and no one else said anything". They also have a lot of trouble keeping track of my daughters personal items, losing several cups and blankets. They do have refrigerators in every class room but for some reason our kids have had spoiled milk in their cups repeatedly. They also have had us bring in diapers and wipes way more often than our kids would need. In the same week we received notes twice to bring in diapers (REPEATEDLY) and we bring in half a case at a time every time. All this from a day care we paid over $14,000 a year.

I brought my son with me to work as long as could, as I was waiting for Carson Lanes Day Care Center to open. Now that it open I am so glad that I waited. The room is ALWAYS clean even at the end of the day. Kassie (the director) is very accommodating even with my crazy schedule. My son has his own shelf in their kitchen so I can bring in a stock of all his foods, formula, wipes, and diapers. Not having to remember to bring some in everyday is helpful. One day I forgot to bring in a bottle for them to use, Kassie being ever helpful drove to store and bought one so I could go to work, and she didn't just buy any bottle, she bought the exact brand we use down to it being made in glass (not plastic). She's amazing.... Anyways you should note the picture of the outside play yard does not do it justice it is far nicer than it looks. Additionally, while the surface looks like asphalt, it is not, it is made of a synthetic material that is "spongy" reducing the risk for major injury if a child were to fall while playing outside. So me and my boy are happy campers!

The employees were constantly on their phones, texting or surfing the web, instead of interacting with the children, almost every time I walked in. They'd immediately put their phones down and act like they'd been caught doing something they shouldn't be doing -- and no wonder, because they're supposed to be taking care of children, not Facebooking all day!! On occasion, I would arrive to pick up or drop off my child during hours when the kids were outdoors in the play area. I walked towards the daycare from the parking lot, where the employees couldn't see me coming (they have privacy slats in the fence around the outdoor play area, so unless they were watching closely, they didn't see who was approaching) -- and I would overhear one or more of the female staff members (don't know which ones) YELLING at the toddlers. Now, I realize that kids can be rambunctious and naughty from time to time, but is yelling at them really the appropriate response? Especially if you're an employee of a daycare. Your job is to supervise, interact with and care for those children in a gentle, loving, respectful manner. I did NOT like what I overheard on these occasions. It made me feel uncomfortable, and wonder if my own child was ever scolded in that same manner. After the third time I overheard this sort of "discipline," I decided to find other childcare as soon as I could, and I took my child out of Carson Lanes Daycare. Chase was one of the more decent staff members. I never saw him playing on his phone and ignoring the kids, and my child seemed to really like him.
