I've only ever stayed in a hotel this new one other time, and wow, it is refreshing. Everything is spotless. The ice machine creates super clean ice. The bathrooms are a dream. Only time will tell if their operations team is able to maintain it, but they are starting with a clean slate and all of the modern amenities. It's a typical Marriott property with fitness center, pool, and continental breakfast. I was put in an "assessable" room on the 2nd floor because that is all they had left, so I don't know what the other rooms look like. However, my room was very spacious with 2 queen beds, a very nice pullout, and a spacious bathroom (with extra grab bars). The mini fridge is kinda small but I'm told the standard rooms have slightly larger mini fridges. The hallways are well lit and shaped with alcoves for each set of a few rooms, that makes them more appealing than a standard long hallway. My only complaint about the design of the room is that that TV is positioned in such a way that it is viewable from one of the queen beds and the sofa. You can see it from the second queen bed but it isn't the best viewing angle. Not a big deal, but just me being super critical. This is only an issue because the room is so large compared to a standard guest room at an economy hotel. If I was the designer, I couldn't have designed it any better. Breakfast is pretty simple but sufficient. 3 hot options (scrambled eggs, little quiche, bacon), oatmeal with toppings, cereal, plain bagel, blueberry bagel, English muffins, yogurt, juice, and coffee. The bacon was thin but kinda tough. They had a good selection of sauces (hot sauce, etc) for the eggs. Notable to mention the lack of self serve waffle maker that you see in many hotels. They aren't winning any awards with the breakfast but it gets the job done. SpringHill Suites has upped their game. I would gladly stay at hotels like this, even over 4 star fancy hotels with valet and doormen. I think for the average traveler/family, this hotel checks all the boxes and provides an incredible value (I paid about $106 a night for a night). Not sure if their rates will go up as the hotel becomes more well known, but I hope not. 10/10 would recommend.
