I did happen to pop into a friend's 2 bedroom suite for a drink and wow - that is the way to go at this hotel if you can afford it! You do get the accompanying road noise, but it is not too bad. Just city street traffic and not freeway or highway noise. The rooms have been nicely remodeled from whatever road shack this place was before. Each room has a fridge which is always a big plus. Each room also has a record player which I thought was kind of cool. Small but hip collection of records in the lobby to choose from. You can take up to three out at a time. The attached bar, The Lakely, is decent. Jazz band playing when I was there. Not a great beer selection. Was a little bit disappointed that the drink token I got when I checked in was for BOGO and not a freebie. That is not how I am accustomed to drink tokens working. I prefer The Lismore hotel which is a couple blocks away for its quietness. However, I would not object to staying here again.

The in-between stuff: 1. Pool was small and heavily chlorinated. 2. Breakfast bar was ok, the staff were nice, but food was just meh. The bad stuff: 1. The housekeeping staff never vacuumed, made our beds, or changed our linen the entire stay. 2. I had to exchange towels almost everyday, or ask the front desk to have them replaced. 3. The bathroom smelled moldy and was dirty (see photos). 4. The room was two queen beds and small. The window would not open and the room airflow was not good. 5. Over the weekend, it was pretty noisy, with kids running around yelling. Overall, I removed one star for the lack of housekeeping, one star for the dirty bathroom and one star for the overall "meh" experience (stay). I realize that the Best Western Hotels are independently owned, but this hotel was not up to standard, so for the price I paid, I was not impressed. They can and should do better!

I ended up here by accident due to a project mix-up, but it turned out to be a great stay at a fair rate. This is a well-run Residence Inn and absolutely worth the money.

They then became rude and combatitive - and now I am having to make multiple calls to Bonvoy to straighten out, and call CC company to object to charges!!! UPDATE : Still NOT settled and staff claiming they offered to cancel and allow re-booking last night, to get points room, but stating "guest refused." - going to the extreme of blaming the customer!!
