Ranking this place three starts. I was welcomed as a Hilton Honors member and the front desk lady was very nice the night we got to check in. However, I thought it was very odd that they had home-made signs posted everywhere throughout the hotel about quiet hours? Like who is being loud past 10pm? The overall cleanliness could have been a little bit better throughout the hotel as well. There could be fresh fruit with the continental breakfast. read more

First time coming here, I needed a place to sleep at since I was on my way to Minneapolis and it was getting late out. My stay here was great! Beautiful hotel room, great modern amenities, clean lobby and great breakfast! It's the one thing I will say that most Hampton Inns have that most chain hotels can't compete with. Have stayed here couple times for business in past six weeks. Hotel is clean and like just about every other Hampton. They really impressed me by calling to say there was a problem with water heater that might take a day to fix and wanted to make sure I knew about it before arriving later that evening. I'm extremely impressed at how thoughtful they are to go out of their way to let me know. Will definitely stay here again! read more

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Reason for high rating is the customer service. Joe Roach contacted me in regards to the housekeeper finding a retainer that was left behind in the room. Housekeeping could have easily just pitched it, but they took the time and care to turn it in. From there, the staff could have just put it aside or in the "lost and found." Instead, I was contacted in regards of the item, and able to arrange for them to ship it to our house. Joe took it to Pak Mail and was able to get it shipped to our home. Depends when and why you are staying here at the Hampton Inn at Craig Road. If you are a repeat offender...ope I mean guest....don't ever expect to pay the same amount or have the same experience. NEVER stay here if those hellion hockey people are here. Also, Its a 20 minute check in if you walk in. But they are friendly. Rooms are clean. Comfy beds. Nice pillows. NOISY. There are much better hotels in Eau Claire. Our experience could certainly have been better. Here are the need to know basics 1 - rooms are very small 2 - even though the rooms were updated at some point they still seemed dated and cheaply done 3 - closet is "in the room" and part of the window curtains - I don't know how else to describe it - it was weird 4 - breakfast was mediocre 5 - thin walls The good - the beds were comfortable. I reserved a room here ahead of time, as my boyfriend and I were driving to Minnesota. You never know what to expect when you reserve online but I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We arrived later at night but still the staff were friendly and informative. They had a large breakfast offering, which was awesome with COVID-19 ongoing. I would not stay at this hotel again. The walls and floors were very thin and the carpet was so scratchy. The rooms were extremely tight. You can hardly get a suitcase in between the beds and dresser. The website made the hotel appear way nicer, but it was just cheaply remodeled. I'm talking instead of new doors, they just covered the old doors in vinyl wrap. And the wrap was peeling in areas. The room was still pretty dated in my opinion. What REALLY made me mad was the garbage truck that came at 7am every morning and woke us up. It was so loud slamming outside of our window. We were in town for certain events and sometimes we didn't get back until 1am. So to be abruptly awoken by slamming every morning at 7, while paying to be able to sleep was maddening. We stayed 3 nights and I couldn't sleep in a single morning. It was also frustrating they didn't have anyway to do laundry. No self serve or send down laundry. The breakfast was only good on the morning they had bacon and mini omelets, the rest of the days they had some super gross rubber sausage and box eggs. Upon checkout, the man even asked how our stay was and I told him about the trash trucks. And he just said ohhh, yea. Like it's a thing they deal with but won't change. The beds were comfortable when the trash truck wasn't waking you up. That's the only reason for 2 stars instead of 1. First time in Eau Claire Wisconsin stayed in Hampton due to closest to airport. Well the staff was Extremely friendly and service was great. My room was nice and mattress and pillows were very comfy. They have all the amenities ; pool and gym room . They also have free breakfast it's kind of usual you see but decent. They have some hot items like eggs, bacon, ham, skillet potatoes this is rotating daily stayed for 5 days so it rotates daily. They have milk, juices, coffee, pastries, and waffles. Over very good. It's a little dated and doesn't seem to have undergone the recent make overs. Walls seem paper thin. You will definitely hear you neighbors in the next room and they will hear you on the phone. It also seemed a bit pricey at 124.00 a night for Eau Claire, WI. But the staff... Amazing! I have traveled for 20 years and not once have I awoke after a snow storm to discover my car brushed off as a courtesy of the hotel! Just about every place in town delivers to the hotel, and though the gym is small, they do have a free relationship with a 24 hour gym 4 miles away! Net net it may be a lil dated and loud, but I have a dream machine app, the staff is amazing, it's clean... I will be back!!! read more

Whirlpool was out of service 1-4-21, and pool hours ended at 8:00 pm? Also, there was no toilet paper in the room! Otherwise, clean and up-to-date. I recommend getting a room opposite the main parking lot due to noise. read more

I stayed one night during a road trip in early August. The housekeeping staff put a rubber ducky with a blue bandana and black hat on the shower floor mat, folded over the tub. It gave me a chuckle. The stay was comfortable. read more

Very friendly front desk. Room was neat and clean. Hotel made sure that the space was sanitized. Nice stay during Covid travel.

I stayed at this location for about a week while on business the place was clean quiet and the service was as expected.

Clean, updated room. The closet was shallow with a drape instead of a door. There was not much bathroom counter space. The breakfast buffet was well stocked/maintained and was kept clean. The staff person maintaining the dining area also volunteered to put away my dirty dishes. The bed and pillows were comfortable and I didn't hear any road noise. I stayed here for 5 days or so back in March.... I try to stay in SPG properties, but when I had to go to Eau Claire, that wasn't an option..... enter Hampton Inn. I really wasn't expecting much.... and I was pleasantly surprised! Was it the really decent free breakfast? How about the daily themed rubber ducks and hand written notes the cleaning staff left me every day? How about the really clean room and free wi fi? I don't know.. but it was all really nice! I'm a fan, what can I say? I travel to Eau Claire for work occasionally and I've made the Hampton Inn my place to stay when I come to town. I have to admit, I think the Hilton chain does bedding right. It's usually the large combination of pillows and soft mattress that I appreciate. This Hampton Inn has it going on in that department. As for the rest of the room, it's cozy, clean, and comfortable. I appreciate the decorated rubber ducks they leave by the bathtub, which have become bath favorites of my daughter. Free wifi? Yes please. A nice desk to sit with my laptop? Cool. A padded table to rest my laptop while I sit on my bed and watch the Daily show? Even better. The pool and hot tub are very nice and great to visit at the end of a long day. But it's the breakfast. Oh, the breakfast. I'm telling you it's awesome. Large selection of both hot and cold foods that will have you checking out with a full belly. The coffee is very good, with several different blends from decaf to medium to red eye available. This Hampton Inn fits nicely with the chain and is a great place to stay when you're in Eau Claire. read more

My coworkers love to stay at hamptonn inns to get Hilton points. So we stayed here.... it was OK but definitely the worst hamptonn inn I've stayed at thus far... the floor had like holes in it, the one seater lounge chair was stained... etc... But the housekeeping staff seemed friendlier than others I've stayed at. They left me a note saying "Thought you could use a refreshing bottle of wateR" and left me a bottle of water. Then they left a note next to my bed saying they enjoyed cleaning my room. Then they left hershey kisses on my bed. This was the second night. The third night I got hershey kisses and a bag of tea. The last night, i just got an extra hershey kiss. I would probably stay at the Holiday Inn next time... the one with the Johnny's italian steakhouse located in it. It looks way nicer. read more

This is a disgrace to the Hilton name. Don't expect much, no hot water, the pillow top bed that the gal at the front desk told us about, well that wasn't there either, and worst of all your towels after the cold shower are stored next to the toilet, so I am sure they don't have any splattered pee on them. The place was loud all night. I highly recommend a different place if your looking for a good night sleep and hot showers. read more

My wife booked us here for my birthday here over the weekend. The snow didn't scare us but the entrance here did. There is renovations going on so had to figure out the hard way. Anyways, we checked in to find a rubber ducky on the bathtub which was cute. There were 2 queen beds which I just collapsed after drinking at Leinenkugel. The room itself was fine but lacking a closet which was basically the wall next to window with some curtains to cover some hangers. The bathroom was fine and good size. The desk area was kind of crowded but worked out for us. We got a snack and drink with my Diamond HHonors status. I thought about going to the indoor pool but it was swamped with kids later. In the morning, we had a nice breakfast and then headed out. Typical fare for breakfast with scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, toast/bagel, oatmeal, yogurt, and cereal. Also, I collect postcards from Hampton Inn so nice that this hotel had one for my collection;) read more

Another standard Hampton Inn during our road trip. We had a problem with our tv and they came to the room within 3 minutes and fixed it. My only semi complaint is that their gym is pretty poor. They have a nice big indoor pool but their gym had a treadmill (broken), a stairstepper and maybe a bike. The problem was that it wasn't air conditioned...it actually felt like it was heated. I don't like working out in a sauna. I'm not docking a star for this because the lady at the front desk says they are affiliated with some local gym in the area and we could use it for free...I was just too lazy to go find it. Oh and for some reason they gave me like 10,000 bonus hilton points...they must be having a special this summer! read more

Taking Covid-19 into consideration the rooms were clean and pool area was very sanitary. The front desk customer service was terrible. We had called prior to booking the room inquiring about the hot tub being open. We were told only 5 ppl were allowed at a time in the pool area. Once we had checked in we were unable to go to the empty pool area as the front desk told us we had to reserve time slots. We did speak with a manager who apologized and did later call our room and let us go in prior to our booked time. The 4th member of our room arrived and the front receptionist was very rude and said he would "allow an exception" to have him stay in our double queen room, even though he wasn't on the list. We were unaware that they even knew who we were besides the person that booked the room. The amount of nonsense that this man randomly came up with was ridiculous. He then yelled at us for not wearing masks while walking out of the hotel. When we departed in the morning the new front desk receptionist was not wearing a mask. Rooms were clean but we were given very limited toiletries and towels. Due to the Customer service we definitely will not be returning. read more

Being a Hilton HHonors Diamond member, I have had to spend my fair share of nights in the lowest hotel chain in the program. This Hampton Inn could show some of the better brands a thing or two about how to make yourself stand-out. There is nothing special about the location, decor or amenities. It IS a convenient location to both the Interstate and a bunch of retail and restaurants nearby. It is a typical HI - clean and friendly. Here is what made me write this 4-star review: -Friendly Front Desk. I was checking in rather late, but the woman behind the front desk was still bright-eyed and happy. And like me, it turns out that she loves the new Gummy Bears that they give top tiers members! -I get to my room and the surprises begin. There is a nice handwritten note from "Gaby". It was so nice that I wrote her back. -There were two little Hershey's Kisses (tm) on the bed with a little poem about how they knew it was tough for me to be away from my home, so here are a hug and kiss to remind me of that. Awwwwe! -I didn't discover it until the next morning when I went to take a shower, but there was a DUCK in my bathtube!!! Yes, that's right - a little (rubber) duck! Years ago on a trip to Hong Kong I stayed at the Conrad Hotel (on the opposite end of HHonors levels from HI) and they gave me a little duck that still makes me smile when I look at him in my bathroom when I find him. Now, he has a friend, who will remind me of my night in Eau Claire. read more

They're the only Hilton property in Eau Claire and are booked by all the business men by default. The hotel is clean, and thank goodness they just updated their work out room. Their previous work out room was about 12 sq feet with 2 pieces of equipment so you could smell the guy next to you. The new one is much much better. Hopefully, the new renovations continue. I had stayed here as a result of an unexpected visit to the hospital. I needed somewhere to stay that would be comforting as I had a long day of moving ahead of me the following day. The front desk staff was extremely welcoming, had a double queen which I was happy with especially because I was a walk in. The popcorn by the front desk was amazing, movie theatre quality. The place was super clean and well kept and my room was a delight to stay in, I was able to get caught up on homework, had pretty good WiFi and slept like a baby. Breakfast potatoes the next morning were delicious, great variety for breakfast and the coffee was what I needed for my long day ahead. read more

This Hampton Inn is amazingly average. Sort of like being in Purgatory....or in the non-beach area of Delaware. Nothing stands out as being particularly exceptional, almost nothing stands out as being awful. (The main exception being the 100 degree excercise room that was smaller than many bathrooms that I've seen.) Other petty annoyances of note - A loud AC unit and super whimpy toilet paper. Im sick of staying at hotels with internet so slow you can barely load a webpage. For a few hundred dollars a month a business can buy an internet connection which is hundreds of megs per second. The download speed here is less than one meg. Most pages time out. In this day and age where internet is a necessity like water or electricity this nothing short of frustrating and pathetic. read more

We stayed here with a wedding party on a Friday and Saturday night. They allowed us to check in early, which is normally unheard of, but they figured everything out for us. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, handing out bottles of water and Ibuprofen just before we left, which was key, as we were all hungover from the wedding. The breakfast was really great for a free breakfast! The kitchen staff there was extra nice and got us exactly what we needed. The rooms hand hand written notes which we all thought was funny. We even loved the Oktoberfest themed rubber duck in the bathroom. Overall, I was really impressed with the staff and the services we received and I would recommend anyone to stay here! read more

Pros: Clean. Very nice Staff. Excellent hot continental breakfast. Nice flatscreen TV with HDMI input (good for watching Netflix using our laptop). Con: Poor soundproofing... heard someone upstairs clomping around a lot. Internet bandwidth capped at 500kbps download speed. Not exactly "broadband" as they advertise. Makes Netflix watching painful with the exceptionally slow buffering (2-3 minutes average buffering time with several dropouts during the movie). Please remove the BW cap! read more

First review ever. This place has the greatest customer service due to the manager whom we have dubbed 'saint Theresa'. She took one look at me as a weary traveler and turned this Hampton Inn into an oasis of comfort and refuge! She went out of her way for me and is genuinely an expert in hospitality!!! So grateful she is at the helm here and her young employees are very bright and full of potential. Every comfort you could ask for in the rooms was spot-on as well. Super clean and lovely. read more
