Our family of four shared a room with two double beds and while it was a little tight, we were just fine. The parking garage is a little shady, but the price was right, the staff was friendly enough, and the location is awesome. We loved the onsite restaurant and coffee shop and also strolled around downtown Eau Claire a bit when we had some downtime. I did happen to pop into a friend's 2 bedroom suite for a drink and wow - that is the way to go at this hotel if you can afford it! I also worked out in the fitness center one day and was pleased with that. I would totally return!

You do get the accompanying road noise, but it is not too bad. Just city street traffic and not freeway or highway noise. The rooms have been nicely remodeled from whatever road shack this place was before. Each room has a fridge which is always a big plus. Each room also has a record player which I thought was kind of cool. Small but hip collection of records in the lobby to choose from. You can take up to three out at a time. The attached bar, The Lakely, is decent. Jazz band playing when I was there. Not a great beer selection. Was a little bit disappointed that the drink token I got when I checked in was for BOGO and not a freebie. That is not how I am accustomed to drink tokens working. I prefer The Lismore hotel which is a couple blocks away for its quietness. However, I would not object to staying here again.

For sure would stay again, but would try to book in the main building. My only thing with my room in the flats/unattached building, at least in the late summer/early fall, is that it was pretty musty in the room. They had damp rid packets out but they can only do so much. It was fine for one night but not the greatest vibe- probably not as big of a factor in the main building rooms though.

Floors of all HI Expresses are thin, so if you have a lot of movement in the room above you, you're going to hear the pounding of every step. Overall.... Average+ hotel for business or pleasure travelers.

Breakfast was at 6:30 sausage links and scrambled eggs waffles cereal and Oatmeal bread muffins and fruit. Just something to get you going. This was a very quite and clean motel and the staff was very friendly.

This place was great when it was new, but I'm seeing now it was only because it was new. The room was definitely not clean. There was visible dirtiness everywhere. I'm pretty disgusted by how unclean the room was this time. We've been staying here for two-four nights every other month and this place just keeps getting dirtier. One positive thing was the woman working during the Sunday breakfast was so nice. Totally on top of things, great customer service skills, very pleasant. Not sure what her name was, but it was Sunday, October 15, 2023. She deserves a raise and some recognition. Well done.

Stayed here for a week…read more I'll start with good stuff: 1. Close proximity to the interstate and Eau Claire. 2. Nice staff and lobby area. 3. Parking lot had ample parking. The in-between stuff: 1. Pool was small and heavily chlorinated. 2. Breakfast bar was ok, the staff were nice, but food was just meh. The bad stuff: 1. The housekeeping staff never vacuumed, made our beds, or changed our linen the entire stay. 2. I had to exchange towels almost everyday, or ask the front desk to have them replaced. 3. The bathroom smelled moldy and was dirty (see photos). 4. The room was two queen beds and small. The window would not open and the room airflow was not good. 5. Over the weekend, it was pretty noisy, with kids running around yelling. Overall, I removed one star for the lack of housekeeping, one star for the dirty bathroom and one star for the overall "meh" experience (stay). I realize that the Best Western Hotels are independently owned, but this hotel was not up to standard, so for the price I paid, I was not impressed. They can and should do better!

Check-in was a little quirky with a bell on the desk and late-night marketing questions I don't think Marriott needs to ask, but overall the process was efficient. Five solid hot options, tortillas, eggs, potatoes, meats, bagels, yogurt, all professionally prepared, and an excellent attendant who keeps everything on point. I ended up here by accident due to a project mix-up, but it turned out to be a great stay at a fair rate. This is a well-run Residence Inn and absolutely worth the money.
