It's over 1200 sq feet and window views of the eau Claire river in both bedrooms and living room. King bedroom has 2 sides of window view of river. Queen bedroom has 1 side window view of downtown. Breakfast at hotel restaurant was nice with daily $30 credit with diamond level. Kids loved large screen TVs in all 3 rooms. Free parking for diamond members. Day 1: Visited Oakwood mall to play bowling at Scheels with son then saw oakwood toy train exhibit. Afterwards my son played claw machine at claw Kraze. Day 2: Visited 4treasures indoor playground with kids and loved the ball pit, ninja course, and arcade room. The Lismore had maker fair at their convention halls next door. My son got a 67 fidget keychain. Then we visited children museum of Eau Claire. Afterwards, we decided to see Christmas lights at Christmas village at Irvine park in Chippewa falls. Day 3: Last day so we revisited 4adventures and also oakwood mall for some bubble tea and more fun with claw machine at Claw Kraze.

It really is located in the heart of Eau Claire with several restaurants, art galleries, a library, and the local Riverwalk. The hotel itself is also attached to a cozy bar called The Dive, a coffee shop called ECDC as well as a beautiful restaurant called the Informalist. If you did not want to venture around Eau Claire, you technically wouldn't have to, Everything is located right at the hotel. We stayed in a one king bedroom and overall it was a clean, comfortable hotel room. My only " complaint" would be that our particular hotel room did not have a view, and our windows looked at a another wall. So we really did not get a whole lot of sunlight but we also weren't in complete darkness the whole time either we just didn't have a view of anything (it was strange). Parking is in the nearby ramp and they validate you for seven dollars a night. *Tip* do not pay for your parking at the ramp. Make sure you go to the desk because your parking is included in your stay if you pay at the ramp, you will end up paying twice. (We almost made that mistake.)

I called ahead & let the receptionist know I had a service dog & there didn't seem to be an issue. My husband went to get our keys as I took my dog for a walk. When he came back out, he informed me that we would be allowed to have our dog, but I couldn't take her thru the lobby. Which is why I gave service a 1 star. I've never ever heard of such a rule.

Specifically for the pool to exercise before we sit in the car again tomorrow. Upon arrival the smell in the lobby was strong.. propanish. I asked about it and the attendant didn't know what I was talking about. AFTER. checking in she tells me the pool and jacuzzi are closed because of chemical issues, I was disappointed and was told she couldn't discount because of the pool. It is advertised with pool, the sign out front says pool!!! Ugh! Out of desperation we stayed. on the positive side the room is huge and appears clean. The whole place smells aweful!!! The lobby, the hallways, the room. Ice machine downstairs out of order! Lesson learned... horrible experience! Would love to speak to someone who gives a damn! We'll things calmed down after lots left for the wedding. Fortunately it really was pretty quiet during the night. I was kind of ready for noise with people returning from the wedding. The bed was very firm so I didn't sleep too well but I guess that's the breaks of staying in a hotel. We did go to the pool and there was a funky smell and the water was greenish. I think it needs a good cleaning or something with the filter. Our suits did have a weird smell so I soaked them when we got home. Hopefully they'll be ok. We did appreciate the bottle of water we got at check in. Thank you. As for breakfast there was no where to sit so we decided not to stay. That was a bummer. We come over to Menomonie often so we'll see.

Nice lobby, with open areas for sitting, and a dining area for the free breakfast. The check-in was super easy, and the staff were pleasant. Our room was spacious, well appointed and clean (turns out we had a handicapped room which accounted for some of the extra space). We had queen beds, and they were nice and firm. There were several pillows on each bed, and they were also firm. The bathroom was large, and clean. Plumbing worked well and the water pressure was very good. In the morning we when down for the breakfast. Very impressive for a free meal. The standard stuff including yogurt, fruit, cereal and muffins. But they also had warmers filled with pieces of hot sausage, potatoes, and omelettes. Very nice. Would definitely book a room next time we are in town.

We pulled up to the dock @11:00 am. Walked up to the door to find out they don't open until noon. Disappointment set in. On the way back to the boat the resort owner said she was sure that Ron would open early for us. She knocked on the door, spoke to him, and sure enough, he welcomed us into the bar. Gotta love northern Wisconsin hospitality. We ordered drinks. Mine was a Bloody Mary. He served it in a glass with their homemade mix. Then he set a caddy of mix of spices on the bar so that I could customize it. Awesome. We vacation in Chippewa Falls every year. We always stop at the Mallard for cocktails. You should do the same whether by boat or car. Captain Ron is accommodating and very friendly. We enjoyed the time in his bar.
