After a less-than-great experience at the hotel I had originally booked, I was lucky enough to snag…read morethe last available room here. The woman who helped me over the phone let me know that the only room they had left was a king room with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The price was very reasonable, and at that point, I happily took it. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this was going to be a MUCH better experience. The lobby was clean, bright, and inviting. The same woman I had spoken with on the phone was also the one who checked me in. When she asked where I had been staying before, I told her, and her response made it pretty clear that she also knew it wasn't exactly the greatest area--or "hotel." Walking to our room, the hallways were bright and clean, which was already a welcome change. Then we opened the door to what we jokingly started calling the "honeymoon suite." The room was spotless, there was no stale smoke smell, and the door actually locked securely. It's amazing how much you appreciate the basics after a bad experience somewhere else! Our room number was 222, so obviously this was going to be great. If you believe in that sort of thing. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and having the fireplace and jacuzzi tub was a fun bonus that we definitely weren't expecting when the day started. They also offer a complimentary continental breakfast with a nice assortment of mini muffins, bagels, toast, a waffle maker, and other breakfast options. What started as a stressful hotel situation ended up working out for the best. I'm so glad we were able to get the last available room here. The property was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the woman who helped me both over the phone and at check-in was wonderful. After the experience we'd had earlier, this place was exactly what we needed.

Prime rib, crab legs, lots of seafood, great salad bar. At 36 dollars per person with soft drinks included, very fair. Didn't try alcohol, so can't speak to that. But honestly, this is about the people. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, Desiree was on it. She wasn't just taking care of our table, she seemed to be everywhere, checking on guests, clearing tables, helping people, always with a great attitude. She noticed my elderly father was having some difficulty, and without being asked, helped him with his plate, condiments, and getting settled. The rest of the staff was warm and helpful too, including the carver, who was friendly and welcoming. One thing that stood out to me as a guest, we saw a table leave a pretty big mess, and it was a reminder to all of us to make things a little easier on the staff by stacking plates and consolidating where we can. Overall excellent food, outstanding value, but the customer service is what we'll remember. Desiree went above and beyond, and the whole team made our family outing enjoyable. Five stars.

The crab was excellent with prime rib and fried scallops! A full bar is right next to the seating so it's easy to order alcoholic drinks.
