Twice I came in thinking I needed new breaks and instead of taking advantage of me and giving me new breaks, they checked everything out and told me my breaks were fine (at no cost). Twice the were honest instead of taking advantage of me. I have had my tires and my wife's tires replaced and I felt they had a fair price. I stopped by one morning with a windshield wiper problem and a mechanic fixed that for free in under 5 minutes. So when my brother in law had car issues on a Saturday afternoon I took him here. They explained everything to him, quoted a price my brother thought was fair, and ordered the parts he needed for installation on Monday. They folks are friendly and I trust them not to take advantage of me which is everything I am looking for in a mechanic.

It was about 8 PM and I was stranded on the side of the road on I-83 North, with cars whizzing by at 70-75 mph (talk about scary). I called my insurance company and the tow truck driver (who lived an hour away) finally showed up. He wasn't sure where to take my vehicle and relied on his GPS to show him the nearest shops. There was a shop about a mile or so away but for some reason he decided to take my vehicle to Sotdorus Motors and it ended up being a blessing in disguise. Long story short, my experience with Sotdorus was wonderful! I was worried that when they saw my VA tags they would take advantage of me but that was so far from reality. Living two hours away, I had to leave my vehicle there for the week to get repaired but each time I got a phone call from Norm to explain everything in detail before any work was done. Even the receptionist Vandy was very nice when I called and she even mailed me my car garage remote that I inadvertently left in the vehicle--wow! In the end, what I ended up paying in repairs was far less than I was expecting. I had the same issue happen to the vehicle on the opposite side of the vehicle a few months earlier and Meneike charged me double what Sotdorus did! Let me end by saying that in these days where customer service is pretty much non-existent, it is great to see that there are still honest people out there that care and not all about the almighty dollar! Thanks Sotdorus for turning a terrible event on the side of the road into a positive experience! :)

It is very frustrating when your issue is outside of their range of pre-arranged answers. Now I have to drive to their location just to make an adjustment to what I need done. I went to the location and made the changes. I asked about their phone system and there is no direct line into the center. All calls must go through the automated system which sucks.
