This place is great. It's a small KOA, but also quiet. Very well shaded. The owner/manager was friendly and helpful.

They have everything, it's organized, and there is practically no limit to the amount of great features here at west Glacier KOA. First off, they have a great high class restaurant right on the premises, they serve breakfast 7 days a week and dinner 5 days a week, including steaks and good stuff. Yes it's pricey, everything is 3 miles from the west glacier entrance, but this really is a one stop shop. Also the trailer spots have a table, 6 chairs, an umbrella, and a huge concrete slab to enjoy. Plus TWO dump station choices on each side of the spot. It's super nice to have that slab. They also had a gas grill! We used it plenty. Around 4 pm all guests get a text message from the staff with the evenings offerings. Here's the last one I got: Hey Campers! We've got an exciting evening lined up for you: 5:00 PM - Dinner is served at the Café 5:30 PM - Join us for some creative fun at the Activities Tent 7:00-8:00 PM - Birds of Prey Presentation: meet amazing birds, falcons, and owls in the Activities Tent 7:00-9:00 PM - Enjoy live music by Mike Boucher in the Bear Garden Plus, don't miss out--Scoops will be serving up tasty ice cream treats all evening long! And the ice cream shop is amazing too! The only thing the place could improve I think is the store. They could have more grocery items and less souvenirs. And the only other thing is they don't let kids in the hot tub. There were two pools? One was for families and the other was for "adults", and that one had a hot tub. Having young kids prevented me from using the hot tub at all. Our family met us there from out of state, and they got the cheapest cabin, and beware that those least expensive cabins come without a bathroom inside! But overall this place is whole and complete and is perfect for families! Also there's TONS of fun activities near the campground. Not just GNP for going in but there's tons of other activities within 10 miles. And using the app to get going to the sun tickets isn't too bad. We tried and both me and my family member got tickets in the group we wanted. You just have to be online at exactly 7pm on the recreation.gov app.

It sits perched on a small hill right above the airport (which used very infrequently so noise is not an issue at all) and the campground has stunning views of the lake. At night, it even has a lovely view of the twinkling lights of the small town of Polson off in the distance, but it is still dark enough to do some stargazing. First, the office is a cute log cabin with a very nice store, ample restrooms and showers, and to our delight, there was a small pool and hot-tub behind the building. The laundry room was also in this building and it was very clean and the machines were new. They had a great big folding table, which makes it even better. I ended up doing my laundry there twice, once when we arrived, and then once more before we left since I liked their laundry room so much. The staff were very welcoming and friendly as we checked in, making sure we knew all there was to know about the resort. They took us to our site (site 25) and we had a fantastic view of the lake (between two campers in front of us) and a great deck off the side that we used constantly during the week. In the mornings, I would sit and watch the sunrise from our bedroom window (which faced east towards the lake) and just marvel that I got to be here to experience it. The water pressure was great, we had full hook-ups and The RV park is on the smaller side, so it never felt crowded or over run. We used the pool and hot-tub regularly, and it never had more than a few people in it at a time, which was great during Covid. Another great thing is that they do mosquito abatement in this park on a regular basis, meaning, we never got bit by bugs! After being eaten alive in West Yellowstone, I was pretty pleased. We will definitely be back at some point, we had a fantastic time in this area and at this RV park.

Parts in, in-house handyman installer working on in so we never had a chance to use it during our stay. Hot tub good and hot but hours of use start @ 10a.m. 9 a.m. would be better. Electric pedestal where we were at had turned off with 120v once but never again after they cycled the breaker OFF then ON. Previous reviews about intermittant 30A service may have been in ERROR. There were multiple times 30A service shut power completely on and off - randomly in the trailer. It wasn't due to the trailer's 55A power converter since mobile RV tech over phone said it would not cause complete power failure, don't bother replacing it. I tracked down a 15A fuse in the panel that would cut power off and on when pressed on when others wouldn't do anything. Replaced 15A fuse and all seems to be well. Still doesn't explain why the 120v outlet on pedestal was wonky. They have recycling for plastic, paper, aluminum cardboard but it is at top of hill and not at other garbage disposal area. Recommend paying more for premium or super premium site to get better site conditions and ameneties. That isn't a knock on this KOA, just personal experience. 4 out of 5 star ratings.

The service staff is great, there is an onsite cafe (Sunflower Cafe), showers, electric/water hookups, dump station, and large play area. Sites vary from tents to RVs to Cabins, with a maximum RV length of 32'. Our motorhome is 32' with two slides and our site was just right. It was very level for parking, has a fire ring and picnic table (all the tables in the park are in good condition & freshly painted). Some sites are not as level, but they accommodate a wide range of RV & tent campers. The Sunflower Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in the outside dining area or to go. We had the beef brisket one night and a breakfast sandwich one morning. Both meals were delicious. Although we are in Montana and were expecting to see a lot of pro-GOP/anti-Dem flags & attitudes, we were pleasantly surprised to see none! Our camping neighbors were a nice gay married couple who were super friendly. Liberals, gays and other progressive people would be very comfortable here, as would those not-so-woke. Price-wise they are cheaper than the nearby KOA and are a great option for those who don't camp in the park. We paid $302 (with AAA discount) for 4 nights.

1-star Review for Spruce Park on the River, Kalispell, MT and here is why:…read more I booked this RV park based on the photos and Google reviews, thinking it would be a great spot right on the river while I was driving 2-days from another state. I had no idea what to expect, so I trusted the online reputation. Unfortunately, this experience was incredibly disappointing and frustrating from the moment I arrived. I made my reservation early in the day and spoke to someone on the phone who told me I could stop by the office when I got there to finalize check-in and get my welcome packet. At no point did anyone mention that absolutely no check-in is allowed after 9 PM. I also received an email and completed mobile check-in, which made it even more confusing -- I had my site number and everything paid for, so I assumed I was good to go. I arrived just after 9 PM. The office hours on the door said they were open until 9, and the email clearly stated that packets for late arrivals would be left outside. There was no packet. I called the "24-hour number," and the woman who answered was shockingly rude. She told me, bluntly, "We don't allow check-ins after 9," and when I explained that no one had told me this and I'd already paid, she basically said, "I don't know what to tell you," refused to help, and hung up on me. I had just driven two long days, and all I wanted was the shower code -- which she also refused to give me. To make things worse, the site I booked (in the G lot) was impossible to get into with my fifth wheel. So even if I had been allowed to check in, I couldn't have parked there anyway. Overall, I spent $140 on a spot I couldn't access, got no help from staff, and was treated incredibly rudely. If you're planning to stay here, make sure you understand every single rule ahead of time -- because if there's any issue, don't expect kindness or support from the staff. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.

The water in the swim zone is shallow enough so little kids can relax and be safe. There are lots of minnows to catch in the water along with decent sized fish in the boat doc area. The only things I have some concern about is all of the children that are little and unwatched and zooming around while cars are driving. I know that is not this places fault but if you bring little children you should definitely watch them. Also, quiet time is at 10:00; the kids are still out running and screaming at that time. I feel like more of the parent supervision should be emphasized more but otherwise great place! Really well maintained and yes the campsites are a little small but it's super cozy and really a great trip to go on and relax.

They have rv spots with full hookups and spots with just electric. They also have cabins and a small B&B apparently. Only a few things that could make this park a little better, in my opinion. 1: a little wider spaces. Although, they are all at an angle which makes it feel a bit more open. They are wider than some parks though! 2: a leash free pet area would be awesome. 3: the nightly fee is high enough that I feel like charging for showers is excessive. When we arrived at the campsite the ranger was very friendly and gave us helpful information about storing our food items and being sure to pack everything up as this area is prone to bears. The site itself was very private. Our particular campsite allowed the RV to be parked in front and was surrounded by trees so we felt as though we were in our own little camping world. The sites at the top of loop C offer an open field perfect for sunset watching or stargazing, but do not provide as much privacy. When planning your stay, be sure to note the shower locations. We were on the opposite end of the loop, and running to the showers in the brisk morning air was not a favorable option. Additionally, the visitors center is a little bit of a walk, but provides a shuttle to Logan Pass via "Going to the Sun Road". This was a great option for us, as our RV was not able to drive the road due to vehicle size restrictions. I would recommend the shuttle as it runs pretty frequently and parking can be scarce at the popular overlooks and trail heads. Overall, we enjoyed this campsite and look forward to coming back here!
