The space of the lots were so nice.

I wish all KOA sights were this amazing. Best KOA by far. It has clean sites that had space between and each site was private. You weren't lacked in like Sardines. They had a great adult pool. The kids pool was spacious but wish it was a little cleaner. The adult pool was immaculate. Ice Cream , bear stream and music. But really the best thing was the space and cleanliness of the site with epic views.

You get what you pay for as this place is pricy but do it at least once. Entertainment every night, loved the adult pool and beautiful landscaping. We loved spot #5

Food is good. Very nice wait staff. This deserves to be called a resort. Adult swimming pool and kids swimming pool. Live music ever evening at 7pm. Justin the bartender, in the Airstream Bar, is great. Grounds are meticulous. WiFi is exceptional. I have never seen WiFi even close to this, at any of the RV Parks that I have stayed. It is usually horrible. I would estimate they have $50,000 in professional WiFi networking gear showing. Site 181 is right under one of their many WiFi towers. Verizon Cellular is only 2 bars but you do need it when the WiFi is this good and you can switch your phone to WiFi.

This place is absolutely incredible! My wife and I have visited over 50+ campsites, mainly travel trailer and RV campgrounds and this is by far the best! All the kids activities, delicious steak restaurant and an amazing breakfast in a patio with tons of flowers! This is the most well manicured landscaping I've ever seen. Kudos to the groundskeepers and maintenance crew! They're truly amazing! They have a separate ice cream shop log cabin, large family pool, adults only pool with 2 hot tubs and new sauna cabins! Not to mention each site is perfect and tons of games and activities everyday. They have live avian bird shows, live music, food trucks, and a resort style seating area for listening to music and visiting the air stream camper/liquor bar on site! This is the best place to stay and we come every year! Not to mention they have log cabins for rent too!

This place is incredible on all counts!! It's so fancy... I'm not sure how they break even. Gorgeous grounds with professional landscaping, amazing playground, beautiful bathrooms, etc. It truly is a resort.

Thanks to the West Glacier KOA staff who are ready for a great summer season in 2023. Enjoyed an ice cream and the super clean showers and bathrooms. Able to rent eBikes on-site! Only 5 minute drive from Glacier National Park.

Not all KOA campgrounds/parks are created equally. Some are rural and secluded. Others are close to the city. Some are rustic and homey, others are modern. Whatever case, clearly, West Glacier KOA is a cut above the rest. + The surrounding scenery is incredible. + The grounds are immaculate: manicured lawns, decorative flowers, etc. + The amenities are numerous: clean bathrooms, clean showers, full hook up site available, family pool (with a large deck and ample reclining seats, shaded tables, etc.), adult only pool, adult only hot tubs, gift shop, ice cream shop, restaurant, playground, laundry, etc. Bonus: if you buy a frozen (Digiorno) pizza from the gift shop, they'll cook it for you ($6.99)!!! + The staff was very friendly (as is the case in most KOAs we've been to). Well worth the money. Highly recommended!

Wow - beautiful location! All the amenities you could ask for except for horrible WiFi which is the only reason for less than 5 stars. Otherwise, beautiful, clean, and anything you need including close proximity to Glacier National Park west entrance.

While this is an edited review. I had an issue while staying at the park. I will say managers where quick to respond first thing in the morning as soon as they got in. They both handled situation excellently. As I previously stated the showers and restrooms at this Koa are amazing spotless clean, food at the restaurant excellent although could use a few more kids choices. Overall this is an excellent campground that will not disappoint!!! Views are amazing Ice cream was fabulous and again tons of activities to do for everyone. Do not hesitate to stay here. Management team is excellent!

The campground is fully open Mai to October 18

If we're looking for a big spot with a little nature, would you recommend the Deluxe Patio site or the back in full hookup/ tent sites?

We stayed in Cabin 5 in the back corner of the campground. There was an electric fence between us and the forest on the other side of the fence. The map is a great representation of the campground and the size of the camping spots. I don't think…

The service staff is great, there is an onsite cafe (Sunflower Cafe), showers, electric/water hookups, dump station, and large play area. Sites vary from tents to RVs to Cabins, with a maximum RV length of 32'. Our motorhome is 32' with two slides and our site was just right. It was very level for parking, has a fire ring and picnic table (all the tables in the park are in good condition & freshly painted). Some sites are not as level, but they accommodate a wide range of RV & tent campers. The Sunflower Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in the outside dining area or to go. We had the beef brisket one night and a breakfast sandwich one morning. Both meals were delicious. Although we are in Montana and were expecting to see a lot of pro-GOP/anti-Dem flags & attitudes, we were pleasantly surprised to see none! Our camping neighbors were a nice gay married couple who were super friendly. Liberals, gays and other progressive people would be very comfortable here, as would those not-so-woke. Price-wise they are cheaper than the nearby KOA and are a great option for those who don't camp in the park. We paid $302 (with AAA discount) for 4 nights.

The water in the swim zone is shallow enough so little kids can relax and be safe. There are lots of minnows to catch in the water along with decent sized fish in the boat doc area. I know that is not this places fault but if you bring little children you should definitely watch them. Also, quiet time is at 10:00; the kids are still out running and screaming at that time. I feel like more of the parent supervision should be emphasized more but otherwise great place! Let me start off with the good: Obviously, 5 stars for the…read morelocation. Easy access to many epic trailheads. A moose and her baby were in our campground three times during our seven night stay. How cool is that!?! Now, the not so good: 1.) You'll have to be at your computer right when reservations open frantically pushing the *book now* button and praying it ends up in your cart. Otherwise, you'll be checking recreation.gov every spare second you get and hope you time it right and snag a cancellation. 2.) Major road construction to get to MG, so expect delays. A lot of the road is still gravel/unpaved/potholes so you'll have to go slow! Especially if you're towing a trailer or have a RV. 3.) It's bear country! The rangers patrol like crazy and will cite you! Every time you leave your campground, you need to pack up anything that can attract bears (camp stoves, coolers, water bottles, tablecloths). So at least twice a day, we packed up almost everything. Kind of annoying, but understandable. 4.) Designated generator hours three times a day, in the middle of the day. The sites range from shady to sunny to semi-shady. Our site (110) was semi-shady, so we had to sit around in the middle of the day to make sure that our refrigerator had enough power so our food wouldn't spoil during the heatwave. That obviously limited us on our daily activities. 5. ) Over our seven night stay, my friends were able to piecemeal three separate reservations at three different campsites. At check-in, the ranger said the only way we could potentially check cancellations and extend the stay at a site was by going on recreation.gov. Not helpful at all considering there is ZERO cell service for any of the carriers there. (Other camp hosts at other NPs check their printout list, no problem.) 6.) Lastly, it was really sad to see that a lot of reserved sites were no-shows. Given how difficult it is to secure a spot, this was so not cool. Some other miscellaneous items: 1.) Vicious bugs everywhere! We had two Thermacells, citronella wristbands and doused ourselves liberally with bug spray and still managed to get eaten alive. Yes, I know this is the great outdoors. 2.) For 2021: Reservations for MG campground do not admit you to the going to the sun road! This was very unclear! Our neighbors told us the park changed this last minute, as we also were under the impression that we had access via our reservation. Because we didn't have internet access to even get a shot at reserving last minute tickets, we had to wake up at 4am to get through the gate before 6am. Needless to say, we could only swing this one day, which was a huge bummer because a lot of the trails and lakes I was planning on checking out are located in GTSR. We have visited and camped at over 20 national parks and this was the poorest run one by far.

Glaciers & mountain views: Ancient glaciers surrounded by towering peaks, dramatic landscapes, and endless mountain views it honestly felt unreal. Boat rides: A peaceful way to take in the beauty of the park, surrounded by glacier-fed waters and stunning mountain scenery. Hiking: Every trail we explored was worth it! Cons: no services open or available so have to have everything you need planned out until things open (normally 8 or 9 o'clock). I will have to venture back to grab a stamp for my NPS passport. I could spend a year here and still be excited to go and see more or hike another trail. It is a beautiful and pristine park to respectfully enjoy. I used the general store at Rising Sun mid morning to grab a few gift and snack items as well as refill water (bottle filler inside or purchase drinks of choice). Has just about anything you need there for purchase along with bathroom and showers. I can't speak for the park service visitor centers at Apgar nor Logan Pass as I didn't use as they were not open when I entered (save restroom at Logan). Logan Pass has free parking for 3 hours if you can get a spot. You do have to use the kiosk to out in plate data which provides time stamp and place on dash. Of note, there is a lot of places where you are driving by sheer cliffs with falling rock hazards with tight areas. Be mindful of the speed limits when reducing to 25 as they are normally around these tight areas or people congested areas. Also be courteous, there are plenty of pull off areas if you prefer to go slow, pull off and let others proceed smartly. The barbecue area, located on the right side of the entrance, was a highlight. It has a covered spot with seating, a few fire pits where we roasted marshmallows (they even offer small s'mores packets), and a cozy setup for gatherings. There's also a small restaurant with a limited menu, which is a nice option, plus they serve ice cream. However, the tents themselves left a lot to be desired. Most don't have bathrooms, and I had to use the community restroom. While it was reasonably clean and cute, it's still a communal space. The tents are quite small with very little privacy--you can hear people walking by very clearly, and it doesn't feel like real camping or even glamping. What really shocked me was the price. My in-laws stayed in a tent with a bathroom, and it cost around $800 per night, which is absolutely ridiculous. For that price, I'd expect a luxurious hotel, not a cramped tent with limited amenities. If you prioritize comfort like I do, I honestly wouldn't recommend this place. It's far too expensive for what's offered, and I don't think it's worth the cost. It's a nice spot for a barbecue or a day outing, but not for an overnight stay.

The staff was very nice to explain everything to me. They showed me the lake map and where to go and not go, etc. Instructions were very clear. I rented 2 hours (they have you 15 mins for the round trip walk). The walk from the rental to the lake I thought was a bit of a walk but it was not bad to haul the kayak there, they are on wheels so it is not bad. You leave the wheels near the trees. Returning the kayak was fairly easy as well. There are lockers available that you can put your stuff if you don't want to take it with you. We had people waiting for our parking spot when we returned to the car. I'm not sure where people would park when it gets very busy. Perhaps there is another parking lot I didn't see. When you walk up to G.O. you sign waivers, pay the fee and are gathered in an area for instructions. The man who provided the instructions was very informative. Advised us of areas in Flathead Lake to avoid including a rough water area and a few bald eagle's nests as they recently laid eggs. After instructions, you are provided with the kayak, paddle, life jacket and a cart to roll the kayak down to the lake. Now, I'm pretty strong but the kayaks are heavy. I did think to myself, how would someone with less strength get this kayak down to the lake? Something to ask about if you are renting as it is several yards to walk with a heavy kayak. The carts were easy to remove and stash while we spent the day in the lake. When you finish kayaking, you simply load the kayak back on the cart and roll it back to G.O., drop off gear and you are done. We had a great experience with Glacier Outfitters and would use them again.
