While our 5-night stay got off to a rough start; we were placed on gravel despite booking a pull-thru site with grass, and initial staff offered no help. The General Manager reached out personally after my initial review to apologize and issue a credit. I really appreciate him taking ownership and making things right; that level of follow-up goes a long way. ​That said, rates still feel steep for what's offered. I get that West Glacier is high-demand, but charging $4 a wash and $3 a dry on top of a $1,200+ site fee feels like nickel-and-diming. Good management, but definitely overpriced for the amenities. read more

THESE GUYS DO IT RIGHT! If you want a perfect place to stay in your trailer that's near glacier national park west entrance, THIS is your place. They have everything, it's organized, and there is practically no limit to the amount of great features here at west Glacier KOA. First off, they have a great high class restaurant right on the premises, they serve breakfast 7 days a week and dinner 5 days a week, including steaks and good stuff. Yes it's pricey, everything is 3 miles from the west glacier entrance, but this really is a one stop shop. Also the trailer spots have a table, 6 chairs, an umbrella, and a huge concrete slab to enjoy. Plus TWO dump station choices on each side of the spot. It's super nice to have that slab. They also had a gas grill! We used it plenty. Around 4 pm all guests get a text message from the staff with the evenings offerings. Here's the last one I got: Hey Campers! We've got an exciting evening lined up for you: 5:00 PM - Dinner is served at the Café 5:30 PM - Join us for some creative fun at the Activities Tent 7:00-8:00 PM - Birds of Prey Presentation: meet amazing birds, falcons, and owls in the Activities Tent 7:00-9:00 PM - Enjoy live music by Mike Boucher in the Bear Garden Plus, don't miss out--Scoops will be serving up tasty ice cream treats all evening long! And the ice cream shop is amazing too! The only thing the place could improve I think is the store. They could have more grocery items and less souvenirs. And the only other thing is they don't let kids in the hot tub. There were two pools? One was for families and the other was for "adults", and that one had a hot tub. Having young kids prevented me from using the hot tub at all. Our family met us there from out of state, and they got the cheapest cabin, and beware that those least expensive cabins come without a bathroom inside! But overall this place is whole and complete and is perfect for families! Also there's TONS of fun activities near the campground. Not just GNP for going in but there's tons of other activities within 10 miles. And using the app to get going to the sun tickets isn't too bad. We tried and both me and my family member got tickets in the group we wanted. You just have to be online at exactly 7pm on the recreation.gov app. read more

I wish all KOA sights were this amazing. Best KOA by far. It has clean sites that had space between and each site was private. You weren't lacked in like Sardines. They had a great adult pool. The kids pool was spacious but wish it was a little cleaner. The adult pool was immaculate. Ice Cream , bear stream and music. It is a nice Koa but definitely not worth the price. After having spent a good time there years back in the low season I was initially happy to recommend it to our group of 13 rvs for a 5 night stay. As members checked out the week or so after Labor Day rates of over $240 a night for a pull through we quickly changed our mind. After booking at a nearby place that was just as nice but wanted repeat customers at non rip off rates, I decided to stop by and see how busy they were. The place was empty. Not very smart management that forfeited over $6500 in income to try and charge exorbitant rates. read more

Food is good. Very nice wait staff. This deserves to be called a resort. Adult swimming pool and kids swimming pool. Live music ever evening at 7pm. Justin the bartender, in the Airstream Bar, is great. Grounds are meticulous. WiFi is exceptional. I have never seen WiFi even close to this, at any of the RV Parks that I have stayed. It is usually horrible. I would estimate they have $50,000 in professional WiFi networking gear showing. Site 181 is right under one of their many WiFi towers. Verizon Cellular is only 2 bars but you do need it when the WiFi is this good and you can switch your phone to WiFi. read more

Excellent! We had a big group of almost 30 people spend a week at this KOA over the summer. We all had a great time! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Resort grounds were extremely clean and pleasantly landscaped. There were multiple outdoor spaces for games and meetups. We had a couple of minor issues with our deluxe cabin, and staff were right on top of it. Overall highly recommend WGKOA! read more

This place is absolutely incredible! My wife and I have visited over 50+ campsites, mainly travel trailer and RV campgrounds and this is by far the best! All the kids activities, delicious steak restaurant and an amazing breakfast in a patio with tons of flowers! This is the most well manicured landscaping I've ever seen. Kudos to the groundskeepers and maintenance crew! They're truly amazing! They have a separate ice cream shop log cabin, large family pool, adults only pool with 2 hot tubs and new sauna cabins! Not to mention each site is perfect and tons of games and activities everyday. They have live avian bird shows, live music, food trucks, and a resort style seating area for listening to music and visiting the air stream camper/liquor bar on site! We are staying here for four nights and paid close to $1000 to do so. We are having to endure a very loud wedding. Who does weddings at a KOA park! The music is so loud and they're yelling and screaming and this is not what we came here for. We should not have to deal with this noise. They got several complaints. The manager went and basically did nothing and said it was OK. We are not the only people complaining... So far horrible experience! I would say do not go here because they don't really care about you the customer. read more

Wow! Best customer service. They had a full service restaurant serving breakfast and dinner nightly starting at 5 pm. They have a kids and an adult only pool. Laundry for $3.00 and dryer for $2.00. Inside the laundromat they have a TV with cable. Everyday starting at 6 and 7 pm they have activities scheduled. This was our first KOA and it will be difficult to see the other ones especially St. Mary (not good). We would definitely stay here again. read more

I needed to cancel my reservation but I really wanted to modify my dates and stay another time. I left several voicemails and never got a phone call back. Besides Glacier National Park being right up the road, you have so many to do at the campground or nearby. Not all KOA campgrounds/parks are created equally. Some are rural and secluded. Others are close to the city. Some are rustic and homey, others are modern. Whatever case, clearly, West Glacier KOA is a cut above the rest. + The surrounding scenery is incredible. + The grounds are immaculate: manicured lawns, decorative flowers, etc. + The amenities are numerous: clean bathrooms, clean showers, full hook up site available, family pool (with a large deck and ample reclining seats, shaded tables, etc.), adult only pool, adult only hot tubs, gift shop, ice cream shop, restaurant, playground, laundry, etc. Bonus: if you buy a frozen (Digiorno) pizza from the gift shop, they'll cook it for you ($6.99)!!! + The staff was very friendly (as is the case in most KOAs we've been to). While this is an edited review. I had an issue while staying at the park. I will say managers where quick to respond first thing in the morning as soon as they got in. They both handled situation excellently. As I previously stated the showers and restrooms at this Koa are amazing spotless clean, food at the restaurant excellent although could use a few more kids choices. West Glacier KOA was our destination spot for our 12 day trip and stop #4 on our journey. From our research, we had high expectations for this KOA. And actually, this place lives up to all the hype! First off, this place is absolutely gorgeous! The landscaping and maintenance is top notch! Nestled deep in a forest, this is truly a RV resort. There is a huge variety of sites to choose from, but you need to make your reservations as fat out as you can. We made ours 8 months in advance and BARELY got in! Reserve soon! Our site, #172 was described as a FHU Super Site / Grass. Although it was not one of the best premium sites the resort has to offer, out site was fantastic! #172 is on an end surrounded by tons of immaculate lawn with table, fore ring and benches. The site was perfectly level and all hookups worked great. Looking around, we actually preferred this to the full landscaped sites because we felt it had more room between sites. Lots and lots to do around the resort for both kids and adults. A great feature is separate family and adult pool areas. Of course, everything is surrounded by amazing landscaping. Staff was somewhat limited, and seemed to struggle keeping up with everything. The ladies at the front desk were awesome and let us check in early! There is a restaurant on site, but it was closed the evening we wanted to go because of a power outage earlier in the day. They do advertise a ice-cream parlor, but they were out of everything. Not sure if it was a supply problem or what. WiFi is non-existent in the campground and T-Moblie cell service was spotty. Be patient if you need to do laundry, because there is only one place and it only had 7 washers for a huge campground! Lots of easy walking areas for our two elderly labs! We stayed at the West Glacier KOA while we visited Glacier National Park. It was a very nice KOA. The bathrooms were clean. They had a laundry room, ice cream shop (with huckleberry ice cream), a coffee/pastry shop, and the also served breakfast and dinner at a little cafe. We had breakfast one morning and dinner one night. Breakfast was ok, the hash-browns were cold, but the coffee was very good. Dinner was on the grill, I got the ribs and the Hubby got the trout. Man was it good! I would recommend if you are staying here and don't feel like cooking go eat at the cafe and don't waste your time in town. read more

West Glacier KOA is a huge spot for camping right outside outside Glacier National Park. It was about a 5-minute drive from KOA to the park entrance. I was blown away with the size of the campground and guess that's why they call it a resort. There is even a separate adult-only swimming pool, a restaurant, and there was a church service under the big tent in the middle of the grounds. The campground had nice showers and clean bathrooms and the staff up front and on the phone are very helpful. Great gift shop too with all the stuff you forgot to pack. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to anyone coming to Glacier. read more

Great KOA just a couple of miles from the entrance to Glacier National Park. The park is everything you want from an RV park in the mountains with the single exception of working WiFi. The sites are gravel and long. The majority of the big rig sites are pull through with cabin, small RV sites and tent sites scattered around the park. They have some of the nicest bathrooms and showers that I've experienced on the road. They have two pools with one for families and the second for adults along with a full list of additional amenities. Ice cream shop, walking paths, horse shoes, basketball, etc. Spacings between sites was comfortable and each site had a table and fire pit. This place could have no amenities and I would still give it at least 3 stars, just for the view. Glacier National Park is the most beautiful place on earth I've been to. And I've travelled... A LOT! We were in a 40 ft motor home towing a 20 ft trailer and this KOA had no problem accommodating us. Full hookup & pull thrus (for bigins like us). They have the normal pool and playground and all of that jazz, but really, you aren't here to stay at the campground. You are here to go out and visit Glacier National Park. This is an absolutely gorgeous place to stay while exploring Glacier National Park! KOA's always seem to be near a road and a bit run down, not this one. This KOA is surrounded by mountains and trees, the landscaping is very well kept and manicured and the grass on every site is green and, again, well maintained. It's hard to find anything at all wrong with this KOA, it really - by far - the best KOA we have ever stayed at. There is a train within earshot but it's not too bad. This is off the beaten path, a mile away from the highway and there isn't really anything next door to this, the closest things are a mile down the highway (2 miles away) in either direction. This KOA has a little restaurant on-site, an ice cream shop and very clean facilities everywhere. If you are looking for a genuine getaway while you explore Glacier you can't do better than this. There was plenty of room for our 5th wheel in the pull-through site we got and it's just a super nice very quiet little place to stay. read more

I made a last-minute reservation with Michelle I was lucky that there was a cancellation while I was on the phone I asked if there was a couple more days available she said she would keep an eye out for me and called me back later that day with more information that was very helpful I ended up staying another night. I cannot say enough good things about Michelle's customer service and commitment to helping people they are very lucky to have her along with all their other staff that I had contact with, everyone is very customer orientated and go out of their way to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. They have entertainment, group areas, restaurant, ice cream shop, both a family and adult pool and a beverage airstream. Great proximity to Glacier entrance. The only thing that would make this a better was better Wi-Fi and there was a LOT of dust anytime a car/RV drove by, they would benefit from some dust control measures. read more
