I felt like splurging and signed up for their Stone Crop Ritual. It consists of a body scrub, body mask, and massage. Full two hours. For $150. I arrived of which they offered me a tasty beverage. It's clean and obviously looks like a working space. The bed was comfy and warm. Jen, my worker of magic, was friendly and efficient. She knew exactly the right amount of pressure through the ritual. At one point we were laughing about how I looked like a toasty burrito and I went into a blissful state of mind. Their products are top notch and natural ingredients. At the time I worked, attended class full time, and was the solo caregiver for our infant in the evenings, so I chalked it up to stress. My doctor prescribed me numerous medications, which either left me unbearably drowsy or broken out in hives, with a still throbbing head. I was miserable. On a whim, I decided to get a massage to help with the stress. I hadn't had one in awhile, as my go-to place up on the square went out of business several years ago, and with the addition of a baby since then, my free time was limited. Some friends had recommended Body Works, and while perusing their website, I noticed they offered headache focus massages. I made an appointment and randomly chose Julie as my therapist. Let me say, Julie is AMAZING at what she does. For the first time in almost a year, I finally experienced relief from the constant dull throbbing taking place in my head. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was life changing. The entire time I was in school I made a point to see her about every 3 weeks, and even now that I've graduated, I still go from time to time as needed. I've also had massages from Lori and Christen, and would highly recommend them as well. I think the only thing that would make this place better is if they offered the option for a cat nap after your massage. Sometimes it's so hard to peel myself off that heated massage table!

From her voice to the self pep talk to the lavender neck massage at the end , I was so impressed. The atmosphere in the whole building is peaceful and inviting. She makes you feel comfortable to work at your own pace. It didn't make any difference that I was completely new to yoga and the girl next to me was expert level. If you think yoga is not a hard physical exercise then try it and you will see how many muscles you use that you don't typically use! I don't know how, but Laura was able to have us use every muscle in our bodies. This was a really neat experience and exercise. I can't think of a better way to exercise than to do it while being totally relaxed !!!

I received a hot, waxy hand treatment, a foot soak, treatment and hot rock foot massage (heavenly!), THEN got to go into a peaceful, cleansing sauna. I coulda gone home fully satisfied at that point, but Crystal (massage therapist) was just getting started. I was served hot tea & yummy cookies, then ushered into a warm, calm, welcoming massage room. She worked on me from head to toe, front and back, LISTENED & applied more or less pressure to MY liking and proceeded to make me melt like butter. I've also had a 'trick' muscle I've been babying for months, and she was able to work it out so I could not only move it, but to a degree I haven't been able to in forever. She was able to schedule me an appointment before I left town. I had been wanting to find someone who did EFT for a long time, as a therapist I worked with said it would help with my PTSD. Fortunately, Dana is a certified EFT practitioner. Still, I didn't know what to expect. The healing center is in the most incredible, serene location, at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. As soon as Dana opened the door, there was just great energy flowing from her and any reservations I had immediately went away. Her healing space, is a sunroom, surrounded by forest, birds, deer and other wildlife. Dana took the time to explain the process of EFT and answered all my questions. She never once made me feel rushed. The whole experience was incredible and afterwards I definitely felt lighter, happier and like I had let go of something that had been holding me back for a long time.
