Specialties
Swedish massage is a full body relaxation massage.
Couples massage is relaxation massage with both clients and both therapists in the same room.
Hot stone massage is a full body relaxation massage with hot stones for the back and front torso, with hot stones in the massage therapists' hands to more effectively relax muscles than a Swedish alone.
Body wraps are full body treatments with exfoliation, mud application and removal, and a moisturizing body butter to finish.
Thai massage is traditionally performed on a floor mat, wearing loose clothing that allows for the stretching and supported movements during the massage. Kellie refers to Thai as "yoga for lazy people," proudly being one of them.
Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT or clinical for short) is an approach to treating specific musculoskeletal pain, which can help with pain management, improve range of motion, assist in the healing process of injured muscles and soft tissue, and prevent surgeries.
Reflexology foot treatments can help decrease pain, increase foot flexibility and pliability, revitalize the feet, and relax and balance the body.
On-site chair massage is a service we offer to local businesses to work on their employees at their place of business.
Enhancements to massages are offered, such as aromatherapy, hot or cold stones (in therapist's hands, not a body layout), rose mud face treatment, and exfoliation.
History
Established in 2014.
Kellie Franklin and Mike Kiefer returned to Fort Smith from Springfield, Missouri and decided to open their own massage therapy practice to develop in ways that best suit their clients and community. The building was previously Arkansas Office Equipment Company, and a home for the church next door before that. Much love and restoring went into 1900 Jenny Lind Road, with the idea to provide a natural and soothing environment. We want the relaxation to begin on the walk from our parking lot into our building.
Not all of our clients come to our beautiful locale. Often we travel to local businesses and schools to provide chair massage services.
Meet the Business Owner: Kellie F.
Mike Kiefer and Kellie Franklin met at UAFS pursuing degrees in psychology. After graduation in 2012, neither was happy with opportunities in the field and began researching alternatives. Mike and Kellie attended a wonderful 900-hour program at Professional Massage Training Center in Springfield, Missouri. The program included a broad range of modalities, which provides more well-rounded, competent, and customizable care for our clients. To better understand this, Kellie had severe back pain to the point of begging the VA for back surgery before the age of 30. No more! Kellie can walk up stairs again with no pain and her quality of life is significantly improved. Mike and Kellie eagerly returned to Fort Smith to open Intuitive Massage Therapy and Bodywork in 2014. They are dedicated to providing a well-rounded and high level of care customized to each client through competent massage therapy and bodywork through lifelong education and research with practical and intuitive application.
