It makes the whole experience way more fun than you'd expect from a car wash. It's in a convenient location, it's affordable, and I can usually get my entire car done for $10 or less. When I got home I noticed the rims were still dirty and the interior had several spots missed from the vacuuming. And I pre-tipped... Didn't make that mistake this time. The exterior wash was great! Clean rims, spot free rinse! That was a marked improvement. The interior was better. Thorough vacuum, good wipe down of my dusty interior, one of them did an excellent job of cleaning a spill in the door pocket. The mirrors and windows were cleaner, but had streaks remaining, and they tend to miss that inch of window at the top next to the door sill. I would recommend this business for a reasonably quick interior/exterior wash for a 40-50 dollar range. But, I am looking for someplace a little more detail oriented for under $100. The clerk though was highly customer service oriented! That's worth something.

They are not cheap and frequently there would be equipment not working etc so I'm not getting the full value for my dollars spent. I wanted a self-service style and after some searching around I found Washoe Wash. I was very pleased with the experience here. The facility is clean and everything works! The water is heated (score!) and there are a wide range of options to select from (rinse, soap, wax, engine cleaner etc). Pricing is very fair ($4 for the first 3 1/2 minutes then buck a minute to extend. There's ample parking to towel off the car, or they have a high powered air blaster thingy if that's your jam. I also saw an automatic touches full-wash machine in one of the bays. This will be my go-to place of business for winter car washes!

I had Rick come out to restore the surface and windshield and wax the vehicle. They did a fantastic job and the truck's surface is as smooth as new. They also did a great job cleaning the outside of my horse trailer/LQ that needed a thorough cleaning. I will have Rick come back for a ceramic coating for my truck before heading to AZ next winter. It also took way longer than originally agreed after deposit was paid 7 weeks and then we got charged nearly double the estimated time--which threw off our schedule and forced me to spend even more to have the job redone correctly. When the Magic Crew is working on a 150k Porsche they are not going to stop work and talk to you, they are in the middle of a job. If you go to a doctors office it's the same concept. The doctor doesn't just stop his business when treating a patient to answer your questions. YOU have to wait your turn or make an appointment!!! Serious people with serious vehicles visit Mr Magic. I live in Lake Tahoe, and driving over mountain roads (especially in winter and spring) means my car gets really dirty. Now, anytime I'm in Reno, I stop in, and it's always quick and easy. There's usually no line, which I really appreciate. The car wash itself isn't anything fancy, but it gets the job done. They also offer self-serve vacuum stations, which are great and easy to use. Every employee I've interacted with has been super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The only downside I've noticed is at the very end of the wash -- when someone helps dry the car. That part feels a bit unpolished compared to the rest of the operation. It's not a dealbreaker, just something that could be improved.
