I am newer to the Airbnb experience and the New Orleans area. I was really nervous about finding the right place to stay for my needs. I sent an inquiry for a cute little flat, and to my delight, was given the BEST service by White Spider! The agents were so quick to respond to my questions, find near by restaurants and even went as far as looking up tours in the area! When I ended up needing to extend my stay and the home I was in was unavailable, they pointed me to another home I ended up LOVING even more than the other! I work on a cruise ship and I happen to be in New Orleans for my most recent contract. I wanted to stay in the city for the first night of my vacation and the reservation desk manager Jessica Mizell found the best place for me and my coworker to stay in. My second visit to New Orleans was way better than my first, and I owe that to my experience with White Spider. Booking my stay was so easy-- the people at White Spider were friendly, accessible, and informative. Navigating once our group arrived in NOLA was wonderful with the step-by-step information they provided. The house we stayed at was fresh and clean, with nice accommodating touches all around. Try your best not to use this company. Nor go through them on Airbnb. We had an actual emergency situation (pouring rain, power out, gate to house didn't open due to power outage)... we called. And called. And called. The emergency person couldn't be found for more than two hours. We had to jump the fence to get to the house (it was in the middle of nowhere on a windy dark road, so we couldn't walk anywhere from the end of the driveway where our cars dropped us). People fell while doing this in the pouring rain. This was one of at least 4 issues. ( Another was ridiculous numbers of dead bugs ALL OVER that they said was 'normal.' I mean like you couldn't walk one step without stepping on a dead bug). When I told the person who called about the gate that I would call back to request a reimbursement for one night... they accused us of breaking a picture frame. We are a group of 30 year old women. We weren't partying in the house. We weren't breaking things. This was NOT a good experience. read more

White Spider absolutely is one of the main reasons my wife and I had the best honeymoon during our stay in New Orleans. We had a little trouble with our first Airbnb stay with the owner of the home (not the any fault of WS), and though it could've put a damper on our the remainder of our trip...the team went above and beyond to accommodate us into their beautiful Bywater property, in which we didn't need to worry about a thing because they made sure all that we needed as guests was provided. And if you did need anything from food tips to how to turn on the AC there was always a person on the other side ready to respond. The home was stunning, clean, and had the perfect mix of peaceful and fun! We were near amazing local stops, and but a 10min drive from the French Quarter. We definitely will only be using White Spider any time we're back in NOLA, because the lengths they went to make our honeymoon amazing is hospitality that you can't buy! read more

In all fairness this company did not manage our property, my one star is based on their horrible service in terms of assessing our property. We have a home in Portland that is not in the hipster area and we knew going in that it may not be something that would make for a good Airbnb fit. That said, on two occasions they set an appointment to come by and see the house. The first time a friend vacationing in our home, gave up half a vacation day to be there to let them in, the apt. was set by White Spider and he accommodated their time and adjusted his plans, it was in the morning, they canceled at the last minute and then rescheduled for that same evening. Again he changed his plans-on his vacation and again, they canceled, this time they canceled at the time they were to actually be there. I emailed them and received no response to my email. I should have let it go at that point, but we tried one more time. The second time was weeks later when my husband could be there, (we live out of town) and again, exact same thing. They set the time, then they canceled at the last minute. This time they did say our area was not a fit. So maybe if you live in a very desirable rental location in the downtown area they would be more responsive, but we found their complete lack of keeping appointments and not answering emails, to be of concern before we were told they had no interest in our property. I also had to schedule a phone call with them, otherwise it was mainly just texting and those responses were slow. You can't just call them and ask questions, or get information, you have to schedule a phone call with them. They had come highly recommended so we did give them a second chance, but after our experience with them-again not actually managing our property, just trying to connect with them they failed miserably in just plain old common courtesy. read more
