I have had a condo here for 1.5 years and don't have anything negative to say about this building! Very clean grounds & friendly staff.

Nice building. Great location. Most of the staff are nice with the exception of the condescending and rude property manager.

I had an issue with the washer/dryer combo, as it created more problems than the manufacturer probably expected.

The Gotham Lofts are wonderful executive apartments catering to the film industry. They have been…read morerecently renovated and even updated since last year when they were called the Jelly Roll Suites. I have a film exec client who rents a two bedroom, and it's what you would expect of a modernly appointed apartment that stays true to its historic charm. The spaces are clean, ceilings are high and the touch of industrial design makes it a nice place visually. The keypad security is nice, and there is decent off street parking when there isn't an event at Generations Hall.

The Good: Nice…read morelayouts. Great price for an all inclusive, furnished space. Can't beat the location. It's spotlessly clean (I didn't see one roach while I was there and I was on the ground floor) Adam and the staff were fantastic. The kitchens have all new, on-trend grey cabinetry and quartz countertops. The appliances are new. The bathrooms are equipped with Delta H20Kinetic showerheads which deliver amazing water pressure. There's a washer dryer in each unit and weekly cleaning service is included. If something breaks or is not working correctly, Adam will make sure it's taken care of immediately. There's a garage right across the street where you can rent space for $150 a month. There's tons of fantastic dining a stone's throw from your front door. Cochon or Butcher anyone? Also, while I'm on the subject, try Tommy G's pizzeria across the road at the bottom of the Fulton Street Garage. FANTASTIC Italian food, wings, pizza and desserts. The Bad: When you're renting a 2 bedroom apartment, you would think that the 2nd bedroom would actually have a bed. Nope, there was a pull out sofa in there, a nightstand and that's it. If you're looking for a 2 bedroom, chances are you're not looking for a 2nd room with another couch that's 10 feet away from your living room couch. I wound up having to purchase a bed and a bed frame for the 2nd bed room. Adam was nice enough to move the couch out of there for me. I also needed to move one of the nightstands out of the master bedroom to provide a bit of clothing storage space for the 2nd bedroom and I purchased an additional side table to replace the nightstand that I moved. When you rent a fully furnished, all inclusive unit, you also expect to have a full set of dishes, pots, pans, silverware, etc. We had 1 pan. 2 pots without lids, a total of 1 fork, 2 spoons and 1 knife. We had dinnerware and glassware service for 4 (which is adequate for a 1 bedroom unit, but not a 2 bedroom unit). I spent another couple of hundred to buy extra silverware, a full set of pots and pans, an extra set of dishes and glassware, etc. Also, there wasn't an ironing board or iron, which surprised me since you would get that when renting a hotel room. Now, here's the crazy part. I had 2 friends who were also renting at the Gotham Lofts when I was there. One had a full set of pots and pans and the other had an ironing board and iron. Amenities should be uniform between all the units. If you wind up renting there and your place is totally decked out with everything and you don't need to start buying items to supplement what you're missing, it's because the previous tenant bought what was missing and left it behind when they moved out. I know that I wound up leaving a bunch of stuff behind when I left. It's a real ghetto business model, IMO. IMPORTANT: Generations Hall is a very popular venue that's right next door. If crowds and noise on weekends is going to be a problem, this place is not for you. I was surprised that I didn't really mind the chaos. It was actually kind of fun and nobody got ugly or confrontational while I was there. Overall, I would recommend the Gotham Lofts. Just be ready to shell out an additional $300-$1000 to augment your space into something that is actually functional. And even with the extra layout of cash, it's still a bargain.

I parked on the sidewalk to unload my equipment and he watched my equipment till I found parking They take care of managing and accounting for several downtown businesses and buildings. They are very nice people to work for. I can see how they take care of their employees. It seems like this is a good place to work for All the employees expressed how they really liked their Director and that he is a nice man to work for This impressed me a lot. You don't always hear employees liking their boss At the conclusion of all the massages not only did their Director pay the whole bill he also gave me a tip and to top it off he paid my parking too Very nice experience

I lived in this complex from 2009-2013 and here are my thoughts from that experience:…read more Good stuff: Because it's a much older building, it has cheapest rent you'll find in the area. That was the main reason I, a poor student at the time, decided to live there. Large pets are allowed. 3- and 6-month leases are available. I'm almost certain it's the only place in the CBD with 3-bedroom units. Maintenance was reasonably responsive the times I've needed them. Office staff was friendly, though their hands often seemed tied by higher-up management when it came to addressing issues with the building. No pest issues, units were sprayed regularly. Oh yeah, for a long time the night doorman was an absolutely hilarious guy who claimed to be a former personal chef for Lil Wayne. Sadly, he has since moved on to other things and been replaced with generic nontalkative eyes-glued-to-iphone-all-night security people. Bad stuff: Hope you like noise! It's close to Bourbon and the Superdome and the old windows do a terrible job keeping out street noise. Bonus if your unit is close to the Hilton parking garage next door: people honk their horns all the time in there because of all the cramped blind turns. I had to use earplugs to go to sleep a few times a month. The "gym" is a complete joke. I came downstairs one day and a bunch of late-80s era cardio equipment had been excavated out of god-knows-where and dropped in a previously empty room on the ground floor. As of last month, both of the bikes didn't work and the treadmill constantly flashed that it needed maintenance. The elliptical's creakier than my grandma's arthritic knees. The rooftop deck and pool isn't much better. Almost all of the furniture is about to fall apart and unstable. Both grills don't work. The "cabana" area is locked and not available for casual day-to-day use. The entire roof was closed for repairs for about half a year a while back because holes were popping up in the deck from people walking around (scary). Some questionable tenants. There's an on-going problem with graffiti in the elevators (hooray for swastikas!). Vomit in the lobby, urine in the elevator, I've seen it all man. Just plain weird: Some closets in my unit were so shallow that the doors couldn't slide closed when hangers were put in them. Almost none of my walls were at 90-degree angles to each other. The bottom line is you're kind of stuck with this place if you want to rent in the CBD and you're cheap and/or have a large dog. If not, consider if the things I disliked matter to you and see things for yourself on the tour. The place isn't a dump, but you definitely get what you pay for.
