We hired a steel pan player through a wedding planning company as we live out of state. It was $900…read morefor one hour, but we really wanted Steel pan music for the ceremony and cocktail moment. We were sent a video of our musician and he was wonderful. I sent the requests for our ceremony entrances months in advance and was told that if he couldn't do them they would let me know. Never received a video of him playing any of our songs and I was trusting so we want forward. Day of he showed up upset that there was no shade for him to play in, as direct sunlight warps the pan, but we were never told that that was a requirement- I had no prior knowledge of steel pans and weather. He then proceeded to not play the full hour he was paid for, he used backing tracks which was fine but barely played over them at all, and did not nicely transition the music between cues. Just start and stop, no fading in, and not enough actual steel pan music to make it sound acceptable. We left that day the most upset with the steel pan, which was the most important to us and was very upsetting. I was never sent any option for a review or any feedback so I came here hoping to help any future brides. I'm sure the rest of their music is lovely- do not hire for steel pan.

Shannon is wonderful at putting together the perfect ensemble for what you want, for instance my husband used to play the saxophone and wanted that included so she put together the perfect trio to include that. Prior to signing on Shannon invited us to come see a couple of them play at an event and then came down during a break to talk to us and we were sold. Having them play just prior/during the ceremony and cocktail hour, unfortunately I only got to hear them during the walks down the aisle but so many of our guests came up to me saying how great the musicians were and how much they loved their song selection. If you are wanting to add that classy, timeless, romantic feel of live musicians you can do no better than Shannon and her team at Beautiful Music.

I'm reviewing this based on my experience at my sister's recent wedding at Paradise Cove in Orlando…read moreon August 3rd, 2022. The venue was absolutely stunning, weather was good, and DJ Juno was absolute trash. He may be good at parties as the very generic "good reviews" state, but not a good fit for a wedding. Now it doesn't take one with an audio engineering degree or a background in digital audio to realize how bad the sound quality and general DJ-ing was. I just happened to study this field in college for four years, but it wasn't just apparent to me but to many others. Photographers and guest covered their ears due to the painfully high gains/volume, and the atmosphere/vibe was not taken into account. Are the standards that low for wedding DJs, and where in the world did he study audio if at all? The business web page claims, "the best DJ's in Florida. Also In person venue meeting and Event and music planning." Based on the quality we had received, I felt like it was the quality of work you would expect from a starting out DJ who didn't know all the functions of the knobs/switches. Down below, I'll list my thoughts/experiences with the Juno on August 3rd. Ceremony: The groomsmen intro song (Star wars) was epic and spot on, and pretty much the other entrances of the remaining wedding party were pretty good. When it came to my sister's entrance, this guy failed to play the appropriate song not once, not twice, but about 5-6 times. My sister ended up not walking to the song she had sent him but to the sound of Juno skipping through tracks and eventually in silence. After the ceremony the wedding party got group photos taken. As photos were going on Juno decided it was an excellent idea to blast music at full volume to the points the speaker clipped and walks off. Everyone including myself looked around in shock at how painfully loud this music was, photographers covered their ears and they had to go up to him and tell him directly to turn it down. Wedding party entrances: My sister had submitted a list of songs each of the wedding parties had chosen. I heard my name mistakenly called with the wrong entrance partner, and he corrected it. The DJ played the couple before us our song "I wanna marry you" by Bruno Mars and we ended up walking into whatever Juno wanted us to walk into. Knowing that he played the wrong song for two couples, would lead me to believe that the others were just as bad. You may start to notice a trend here but when it came time for the bride and groom (the wedding theme was Disney's "UP"), a very interesting hip hop/rap version of the classic Disney tune was played.. not the original tune we all know but a remix. He then goes on to announce the newly weds names wrong!! Wedding speeches: So I spoke with the DJ before the wedding kicked off regarding going on before my father for a speech, he ended up writing my info down and confirming that I'm good to go. Fast forward to tables being called for food. Juno tries to announce that it's time for speeches not realizing that the entire back tables were not back from the buffet line. He apologizes and waits a bit to announce speeches. Best man, friends, and my younger bro are announced, he then opens the door up to one more due to being low on time. I take the mic and I'm like, I'm Adrien. He not only forgot who I was but that he had a note for me to give a speech. The best part of it all was how these speeches ended on a very sincere and thoughtful note, yet sprinkled one of the most mood killing sounds ever - a club DJ air horn . Dinner: The dinner music began as this weird upbeat music set at a pretty loud level. Guest couldn't talk and eat, we had to yell as we ate. I think after he had time to play with his system he eventually figured out what "dinner volume" was. Several guest went up and ripped him a new one as they rightfully should. The DJ then announced the Bride (my sis) and husbands name incorrectly several times. How embarrassing! After: Based on what everyone who was there for cleanup states, he was placing blame on other people (cause he didn't want to take responsibility), he was getting aggressive, and just being a pest. The venue stepped in and banned him for good from Paradise Cove in Orlando. Now, it takes some skill and real talent to ban yourself from a venue. If you only take a few things from this review.. if you don't want a train wreck of an event don't book this DJ. The reviews may look good but if dig deeper, you will find the truth. I highly recommend reading the reviews on "The Knott.com". He has managed to get himself banned from a venue (Paradise Cove)!! Also, he did refund the cost minus deposit, asked the bride and the brides father to please not leave bad reviews for his company! I don't think there should've been that bribe.. a refund was rightfully owed and his quality of work was worth $0.00. With that being said, bring on the honest (negative) reviews from that night!
