Former employee here. Unfortunately it seems like it was a pretty reputable company at some point, but they've lost the plot. I worked many events where things went wrong on the offices end and they decide to blame the event techs for those shortcomings. Many brides and corperate clientele have been frustrated at the state the booths arrive in. They are also very unlikely to give a refund, and will fight tooth and nail to avoid returning money in disaster situations. Worked there for a year, learned all sorts of skills, and was never shown any appreciation for it. When we started looking for vendors, our DJ was the vendor we put off until the end. It's not because we didn't care, it was because we knew the DJ was going to be a huge part of making our reception amazing, but had no idea what we were supposed to look for in a DJ. We met with Kristin at Our DJ Rocks and knew halfway through the meeting that they were going to be our DJs. Kristin has a huge team of DJs, and we had DJ Stasia as our DJ for the day. She was awesome! Our DJ Rocks has a great online system to add in song requests, list our special songs, and answer some questions that give an idea of what we are looking for. Leading up to the wedding, we had a phone meeting with DJ Stasia (had to deal with Covid), and she went over every detail of the day, from timing to songs to general music vibes, she knew exactly what some of our more obscure requests meant, plus she gave us all kinds of suggestions for how to make the day flow even smoother. We are one of those Covid couples, so we had so many changes leading up to the wedding, emailing DJ Stasia multiple times a day, and she stayed on top of them all without hesitation. Our wedding ended up with fewer than half the guests we originally expected, and we were very concerned with how the "party" aspect was going to work out; Stasia kept things moving, and everyone had a fantastic time! We ended the night and could not express enough how much having DJ Stasia there to take care of us meant. When you select Our DJ Rocks, there's no telling which of Kristin's DJs you will end up with, but her team is amazing, and while you probably can't go wrong with any of them, you will hopefully be lucky enough to get DJ Stasia there for your day. read more

What a great experience! Our DJ Rocks TOTALLY lived up to the name. My coordinator Kyle at Blush by Brandee recommended this DJ company. I told her we love music of all kinds and want someone to keep the party goin' strong. I was sent to the right place! Initially everything was worked out over email which is easy for me to manage with my busy schedule. I was able to reserve my date, select my services, etc. over email. They also have a great web portal for selecting music that is "Must Play" to "Do Not Play" which was great to help outline the big songs of the night we had in mind. Originally we were pared with one DJ but something came up and we were reassigned to Tabitha a few months before our wedding. While this would freak out some brides it was all handled very smoothly. No complaints! Tabitha was great! I met with her a month or two before the wedding to talk out final details. Day of everything was handled perfectly. We got a lot of compliments on our music selection for our cocktail hour and reception. Tabitha had a way of watching for reactions. If my face lit up and my shoulders started to shimmy she knew we were in good territory. She rocked it out and made our day so special. She was also a great MC and stayed on top of the nights activities. When we returned from our honeymoon we received a card and a CD of our wedding hits. What a great gift! Makes me all teary when I listen to our songs again. I highly recommend Tabitha and Our DJ Rocks to anyone who wants people to actually dance and enjoy themselves. We found Our DJ Rocks through a recommendation from friends, and once I had a conversation with DJ Cierra, I knew my search was over. I could tell she instantly understood the vibe we were hoping to have at our reception and knew our goal was for every guest to have a great time... and boy did she DELIVER!! Throughout the entire planning process, Cierra kept us very informed and the planning system that Our DJ Rocks uses is so helpful and organized. Seeing how many details were covered in that planning system eased so many fears for me about our reception. Every detail was covered from start to finish, including things I hadn't even thought of myself. Despite not hiring an event coordinator to guide us through every step of our big day, I had zero stress going into our reception because Cierra had been so thorough during our last chat to talk day-of specifics. Throughout the entire reception, Cierra was so attentive to Stefan and me. She constantly checked in on us, was the first person to offer to grab us drinks from the bar, and always gave us notice ahead of time as to when we would be needed for specific things such as the bouquet toss, cake cutting, etc. I even made a last minute change to our originally discussed plans during dinner and Cierra accommodated it with no problem. As for the music.. she nailed the playlist. Our dance floor was NEVER empty and I received so many compliments throughout the night and still to this day! Guests have said it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding; Cierra was the best DJ they had ever heard; and I even had one guest tell me that he never dances, but somehow he found himself on the dance floor. I could honestly go on forever about DJ Cierra because she played a huge part in giving our guests a party to remember and making our day absolutely perfect for us. It was very easy to use and helped me and my husband think through all of the little details of the night. I will start this review by saying that I had to rewrite this review ten times because I kept thinking of ways that Our DJ Rocks was so amazing! I am very grateful that we were able to hire Our DJ Rocks for our wedding reception. In short, they are very reasonably priced, professional, organized, fun, helpful, and knowledgeable. In my first phone call with them, they assured me that they would be able to provide a good mix of music that would please guests of all ages (which was a big concern of mine). I also wanted to make sure that the dancefloor was always full. I was not disappointed. Jennie did an amazing job, and her bubbly personality made everything more fun! She knew exactly what song to play to get the most people out on the dancefloor, including people who I never expected to get up and dance! I was so impressed already, but she went above and beyond. Jennie didn't just stay up on the stage. She came down and offered to get drinks for my husband and me, she danced the Cha Cha Slide with everyone when some people didn't know how to do it, and to our surprise she played one last song for my husband and me once everyone else had gone outside for sparklers. It was the perfect way to end the night, and I still don't know how she knew to choose that song. I (as well as my guests) have nothing but good things to say about Our DJ Rocks. What can I say about Our DJ Rocks? Well, they live up to their name for starters. Planning a wedding kinds sucks...lol...especially when you're doing it on your own. When you start getting information about vendors you never really know how it is going to go, this is especially true for someone planning a lesbian wedding. I was kinda of put of by some of the other vendors I contacted, nothing was ever said I just had an uncomfortable feeling. With Kristen the only feeling we had was... She's awesome! When my wife and I first sat down with Kristin, she was welcoming, genuinely interested, fun, and knowledgeable. She gave us information on all of their services, how it would work and everything in between. We went over music themes and do's and dont's. We didn't feel rushed or like we were asking too many questions. It was truly like we were meeting a good friend for lunch. She told us the price, (which to be perfectly honest was not what we were wanting to spend) HOWEVER IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY! I would have paid double. I met this vendor at bridal show on 04/17/2011, I was considering to use them for a photobooth. I spoke to gentleman at first who was really nice and explained what they had to offer. Moments later I decided I wanted to book them so I spoke to the owner (the woman). She came off very aggressive, she wasn't pleasant and made it seem as if we were annoying her by asking questions. I immediately decided, I was better off going with another vendor even if it was higher. I heard she is a good DJ but was no longer interested in any of her services. First meeting means a lot to me because I want to feel confortable on my wedding day and would like it to be a great experience for my guests. Kristin is GREAT!! She responds to calls and emails very quickly and is very sharp. You really feel like she is in control of what is going on and has your back during the entire process. Kristen knows how a timeline should go for a wedding and was so great with our guests. She came out and did a couple of line dances with our guest and they loved it!!! I actually hired her for our rehearsal dinner as well, we did Karaoke for about a hundred people and we had so much fun. I think Kristin's prices are very fair and she is very easy to talk to about what kind of music you like. I was very particular about the music I wanted and she played all the music I wanted. We loved the photo booth. I actually brought a scrapbook with LOTS of decorations and wedding paper inserts so in the end, my guests actually made my wedding photo booth scrapbook and they did a really good job.
